That's one attribute of most public uni graduates. Their ability to adjust their perception of any situation to suite their ego. Nigeria needs reorientation from the spiritual angle.

Nigerian Churches should focus on primary and secondary education and leave tertiary education alone.

I can't believe people are angry with Falz. He is right. If churches build schools then members children, rich and poor should be able to get admission and be part of the system.

DoblyYou:
Alot of people have digressed from the point here but it's ok. Everyone wants to talk.

Is good upbringing and godly devotion meant for "the few poor but intelligent ones who can pass scholarships"?
Is Christ teachings meant for only class who can pay high fees??

The church shouldn't have set up institutions that can only be available to a select few in the society. Institutions that further widen the gap between the rich and the poor shouldn't have any place within the church.

My grandma was quite poor, her English wasn't so good coz it was tainted with Yoruba accent but her writing is so beautiful cheesy! She writes in cursives! She went to a missionary school and paid close to nothing.

Think about it: If the Temple/Synagogue in Jesus time had a University and Peter and Luke were to write scholarship exams, who do you think would have gotten scholarship to study medicine? The system might have pronounced Peter a dullard and Luke as intelligent. Churces should think about Jesus first in all dealings.

They should build primary and secondary school that are still quite easier to manage and make it available to the masses. University education isn't the pinacle of success.
Thank you

The rich and the poor funded to build the university together. Don't be sentimental as against the rich. People will be sounding it as if the poor were robbed to build schools that the rich did not contribute to. A and B was called to build a sophisticated and better school of learning. Both A and B contributed without constrianed feeling...After the project, it was seen and understood that such standard can only be run by not-a-cheap cash. B was able to afford it, A was'nt (but A can stand a chance in terms of scholarship and other incentives). Hurray! ...and they each lived happily everafter!!!

look at wat ur saying..the rich Nd d poor funded d building..d only reason d Church shud bring d poor into a partnership shd be cos of d poor ..the rich has it all..dey can decide to school anywhr dey like...then after completion wether standard or substandard.. only the rich will end up schooling there...

Check them out and then come and tell me in what way they are "sub par".

If the government will not give quality education, someone must do it. It's only Nigeria you see a university collecting 25k as tuition. Then later people will start complaining that the universities don't teach well. How will they when they're not being properly funded?
Quality education? Because of WOW real estate and inflated tuition?

Mr Ignorant, just think for once before you say trash.

Those 'missionaries' you keep saying are majorly Catholics, Adventists, Baptists Anglicans etc. They all still exist and all have schools today...and those schools aren't free neither are they affordable to you and the 'poor'...and that's why you will keep complaining. In fact, Babcock (Owned by the Adventist Church,) is one of the most expensive private schools in Nigeria.

Infact, I challenge you to show me 10 free Universities that have been built by missionaries.

If Winners for example, want to begin an outreach in a remote village in the North and they build a secondary or primary school, do you, in your ignorant mind, expect them to pay a fee in such school?

They really have an important part of their brain fried by constant brainwashing or beneficiary of the flawed system. Imagine how she is choking herself by herself with illogical analogy.

So A and B contributes to build then after the cost of schooling is placed so high that only A can afford it makes sense to that chaff brain and her GO? If this people were the ones Jesus handed over christainity to , their selfishness, senseless and inhumane minds would have destroyed the religion or unleashed a fuxked version on the world. You, Freeze and Falz should go, collect and build a 'Widows Mite University' for them.
Isn't that feasible?

So, you're a Christian and you don't get what the story of the widow's mite is saying? Even in the church some people value the person with the most money because they are actually money minded more than anything else

Let them keep the little they have for themselves rather than them being guilted to give up what they actually can't afford to go without.

As poor man, give the church your money at your own peril. Everything eventually changes, including religion, it's inclining towards the rich and as a poor man, you'd be damned if you dash someone that calls himself a pastor or priest your had earned money. The church now caters for the rich, as poor man you will be frustrated in the church. Even here in my catholic church, the big donors get a standing ovation and longer prayers with more holy water splashed.

Are you blind, deaf and dumb that you don't know about hitherto free missionary schools and orphanages. Call the name of your village and will tell you the one nearest to it back then. So you get a clue what real missionary projects sounds like.

First of all, I do not support Falz in anyway. So don't quote me if you don't understand my points. Thank you.

My question is? What is the aim of building the University in the first place? Is it to provide quality education, or to make profit?

If it's to provide quality education, then who are the targets? The rich or the poor? Because I'm sure no poor man can afford a private university.

Take a look at this country. The churches have made a mockery of the whole education sector. Every church wants to have a university. And you want to tell me it's not for profits? undecided Even the church that will reign tomorrow are already looking for a parcel of land for their proposed university. Don't we have enough already?

Why can't these churches build industries? Why can't two or three of these churches come together and create wealth if not for anyone, at least for their members?

Instead, they create more and more divisions among themselves. This founder will boast to his students that his school is the best amongst others, and how God gave him the vision to revive the educational sector. Rubbish undecided

I need not type more so you don't think I actually support Falz. Falz should have just kept quiet. It would have been better
You have a valid point and I think is time to ask the church to start building industries.
