Buhari Govt Has Abandoned Igbo Land – PDP by edunwablog: 4:38pm On May 28, 2018 |
The Southeast Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Chijioke Ekwegh, has alleged that the Igbos have been relegated in terms of development under President Muhammadu Buhari. Ekwegh, who spoke in Owerri, lamented what he termed as negligence of the Southeast region by the government. The PDP scribe also said that it became evident that the zone was neglected in the appointments made so far by Buhari. According to Ekwegh, “For the past three years of APC’s unceremonious rule, the region has not felt any federal government’s presence or impact, be it infrastructure, employment, security and otherwise. “We cannot forget in a hurry the lopsided appointments made by this government, of which the South East remains the most shortchanged. “What about the intimidation of business men and women from the Zone, an attempt by the APC federal government to cripple the economy of the region? “Sadly enough, the only times the South East experienced federal government’s presence in the current dispensation were during the military invasion of the region in the guise of Operations Crocodile Smile and Python Dance. “These exercises were successfully used with utmost impunity to intimidate, harass and hound people of the area, leading to loss of innocent lives.” Full report at http://www.akelicious.net/2018/05/buhari-govt-has-abandoned-igbo-land-pdp.html

Let truth be said, Igbo's has not felt any federal presence, imagine osibanjo and fashola coming down to ariara market just to commission an uncompleted generator house, that the height of deceit and incompetence on the part Buhari government. Igbo's are moving forward anyway even without federal Government 1 Like |

Are these people ungrateful Ike Ekweremadu some weeks ago commended the president on some federal projects been carried out in Enugu such as water scheme and roads, Osita Okechukwu DG of VON also said the same thing about federal projects in Enugu like the Enugu-PH road. Last week some Anambra house of assembly members and the the governor Willie Obiano commended the federal government on ongoing projects in Anambra such as the 2nd Niger bridge and others. Its obvious that even if all the ministers in PMB cabinet and heads of parastatals are from Igbo they'll still complain. PMB Fixes all the federal and state roads in Igbo land they'll still crucify him. 1 Like |

Igboland has never been developed by any govt, colonial or indigenous, Ibo or non-Ibo administration, Christian or Muslim. Why should we expect different outcome now or in future? 1 Like |
