fabyom: God bless you with this cerebrate submission.. The horrible pitch make the whole idea behind this test game defeated. It is bit hard to pass a judgment on the whole performance of the lads tonight. |

I won't be shocked if Ebuehi is ruled out of the world Cup. It seems that he has aggravated his Hamstring injury. Ordinarily, I will take him and drop Aina because Aina have been poor on that left back. But if Ebuehi is out, then Aina will have to deputise Shehu in Russia. Left to me, we have too many midfielders in this team especially CMs and DMs. Honestly these many midfielders are ineffective because how do you explain why we can't maintain momentum through the midfield? Why do we find it difficult to string two - three passes in the middle? Why are they no well coordinated attack orchestrated from the middle? Our midfielders always seems to be running around like headless chickens... Its pathetic!!! No creativity, no flair... No nothing!... And someone wants us to drop Moses our only attacking creative midfielder who can actually attempt to be creative and succeed at such attempt. The only positive for me from the midfield in this match was Onazi, I was thinking he was washed up but I saw the old Onazi in play today, especially in the second half. In going to Russia, players like Joel Obi (Most overated CM ever) Mikel Agu (Good but too quiet in games) Agbo (not seen, can't be rated) Aina (unlucky to be in Shehu and Ebuehi's time) Should face the exit door 2 Likes |

ChrisKels:maybe we can name him twice. but rohr should have subbed him out at first half. that kind of risk can be costly. he should not even play that england match. |

Mujtahida: Yes, the quality of football they played inspired a lot for confidence. Bros, that team B bossed Athletico in midfield all night long. Had them chasing shadows for long periods. What they lacked was better coordination in defence, which doesn't come overnight anyway, it takes a long time to drill a defence into shape. Most of those guys deserves to rub shoulders with the big boys, if Rohr was more open minded. One of the problems this team will have to overcome is complacency. Psychologically, Africans don't function well without competition. Alot of these players know their place is assured after the Argentina game, this have affected thier output. Very typical of Africans |

Abeg where are all these negative people coming from ? All the games played this year involved new players, a different line up and without some of our most important players playing. They are called friendlies for a freaking reason. This is the first time Rohr will have all these guys with him for more than a week. You naysayers should calm the freak down joor. 6 Likes |

safarigirl post=67967848[b: I understand your sentiments @the bolded but you see, we are fans and we need to see the results of all the hard work and promises made by the coaches and players I actually hope they perform way better at the WC but to tell you the truth, based on their recent performances, I've become a bit weary of Rohr's tactics. |

goldfish80:well done. so if you are the coach that is what you will do barely a month to the WC. you will open your mind. bring in the guys who inspire confidence to rub shoulders(i actually dont understand what you mean by this in practical terms) with team A. find a better way to cope with your apprehensions. this suggestion is too basic 2 Likes |

See wailing and gnashing of Teeth for what?! On a Pitch like ridges at Ota Farm? LMAO! Offensively Ola Aina is far better than Echiejile. Moreso, Echiejile with his Experience, would have cost us a one man down with his reckless, career ending Tackle in a competitive Match. If we can give Excuses for Iheanacho, Etebo and Co for failing to live up to Expectations due to the bad Pitch, why ain't we giving the same Excuse for Aina too?! Joel Obi was outstandingly poor, Onazi also, we lost the midfield Battle and was dominated like we played our Home-based Team, but we are discussing Aina. You and I know that ain't a Penalty, and with the Aid of VAR, such a Mistake won't be made at the Mundial then why the Fuss?! Aina linked up well fantastically with the Attack, he partially brought the best out of Etebo, but taaaah...... he caused a Penalty, he's not ready, he must be dropped - like wetinnnnnnn! If we are to judge Players based on Today's Friendly Match, then it's better we discard the Team and replace them with the B Team. If anyone deserves to be tried against England at Wembley, it's definitely Olaoluwa Aina. He learned his Trade on world class Pitches not on Farmland Ridges. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

elyte89:Nwakali this and that, how many of you expressed this confidence in him when the list was out? Many people here were even saying he hasn't played for a while, lower division, blah blah blah. It is easy to judge a player based on one game. Nigerian fans do that all the time, but it is also foolish. |

darkelf:let him die on the pitch and break leg, thereby missing world cup so that you people will clap for him and say he died on the pitch, abi? Why will he be Rohr's major undoing? Has he ever failed when it mattered? You guys be dragging someone based on one useless friendly. 2 Likes |

Results of friendlies prior to USA 94 Colombia 1 :0 Nigeria Sweden 3:1 Nigeria Romania 2:0 Nigeria Nigeria 5:1 Georgia Probably our best WC till date. Results of friendlies prior to France 98, Nigeria 2:2 Jamaica Germany 1: 0 Nigeria Yugoslavia 3:0 Nigeria Holland 5:1 Nigeria Yet, we beat Spain who had been unbeaten for a long time in the first match Do not read much into friendlies. Thankfully no social media then. 8 Likes 3 Shares |

Mujtahida: Are you really suggesting that Rohr knew about Nwakali (for instance) just after watching the Atheletico game? We are talking about a guy who spent a lot of resources inviting the German based Osimhen (you know, Nwakali's teammate). If you want to make me believe this, then someone obviously haven't been doing his home work. |

forgiveness: No bi wetin I talk be dis. From the look of things, we need a natural winger in the team. Lokosa and Etebo no bi am. We have loads of wingers in Europe and I don't see why we can't bring one to replace Simon Moses in the team. When Musa came in to play that wing, we felt his impact immediately. Unlike Lokosa who was clueless on the wing and the poor boy is not even a winger. Our best Nigerian performing winger in Europe this season is Peter Olayinka who is also versatile. He can play CF and wing role wella. His stats is below. However, I will prefer Sone Aluko or Kayode Olanrewaju because they are exceptional good. But if anybody thinks otherwise he can recommend a better winger.

Where are all this monickers coming from? All of a sudden people are spewing leftist ideas over a team that has played tough qualifiers...this team has a chemistry...we all saw that right from qualifiers...the Croatian coach is even afraid that we are organized than before because of presense of a German coach...i have no excuse for this team because i know that Rohr s team is made,he is just looking for something different which we do not know.. When the atmosphere is right... When the big guns gather... When chips are down... This team will tick..soar...on the wings... 7 Likes 1 Share |

Odunayaw: Oh Lawd of Eagles...... LMAO! You are very spot on Sir with the bolded, coz only very few Monikers analyze fairly and objectively. Don't wanna mention Names but I think I should at least mention a particular Moniker that I do enjoy his Analysis the most, maybe because he's a Lawyer. Another Moniker I do enjoy a lot is a jovial Fellow, but he's mostly on Point too in a comic way. We need to stop hyping our Team and Players to be honest. All these Remi is balling, chukwudi is balling, bature is balling won't help the Team cos in football individuals don't win Game, Teamwork does. |
