As usual, i wasn't expecting anything different on this thread. Some will surely blame everything else for their loved players. Some will even use others as yardstick to why theirs shouldn't be blamed. Too many emotional and sentimental people on this thread of recent including known monikers.. Just too many.. but then, i ain't surprised though, some people just can't help it. From "the pitch was bad" to "He's not used to the weather" bla bla bla. like those who did well on that same pitch were born on such pitch. Let's continue with our sentimental/emotional biases o as long as it makes you people sleep at night. We are having too many noise makers on this thread with fewer logical and rational analysts.. All i am saying, Bring back the true analysts! 1 Like |

Mujtahida: We are not going to Russia to win the world cup, are we? There's life after Russia, it's not enough for Pinick to say he has teams for 2022 and 2026 world cups. I'm obviously talking about Nwakali and Azubuike for reference purposes, this Russian world cup have come and gone as far as I'm concerned. |

Haha!! I knew that this comparison was coming! Comparing those two friendly games is silly to say the least. First of all, the pitch today was so bad that it was simply impossible to play good football on such pitch. Secondly, the team (Super Eagles) was taking it easy. After what happened to Moses Simeon, nobody wants to get hurt on that bad pitch and miss the World Cup, especially playing against a team with nothing to lose (DR Congo). If you want to blame anyone then blame the NFF for wasting a good opportunity by organizing this friendly game in PH. Here's what I said to them on twitter: His Majesty @TalmudicSage More Replying to @NGSuperEagles This DR Congo friendly is a bloody waste of time by the @thenff. We should have used this opportunity to squeeze in another friendly against a South American team. Right now Tunisia is playing Portugal while we wasted time playing on the sandy patchy pitch of PH. #Shameful O pari goldfish80: |

tbaba1234: For sake of fairness, against England, I would want us to start Ighalo as the CF and at half time depending on how the game is going we feature Simy. But if you ask me, I think this Simy looks more threatening than Ighalo. As for Lokosa, he did very well even though he was played out of position. Even if he doesn't make Russia, he has done enough to merit future invitations to the national team. Simon's injury has made the selection a bit easier for Rohr. 3 Likes |

Mujtahida: there ia no way that team could have played a team work , with the state of that pitch , talk true , did you enjoy the match ....?? the pitch was so bad and i cant blame any of the player for a poor outing the team B will not do much , they lack some things which we dont understand , until they get to competition proper |

I have a sneaky feeling that the last forward spot will be a decision to take either Simmy or Lokosa. With the way the former rattled the Congolese defense, coupled with a decent outing against England on Saturday, 6’6” Simmy Nwankwo May just sneak into the final 23... |

Icon79: Funny enough, if we had played Serbia on this same pitch, alot of people including you would have blamed the pitch for the shabby performance. Hopefully, the poor quality football is not gradually becoming a culture. The team must do better going forward. Will they still be camping in Austria? |

Rohr said his only regret with the 30 man list is that people are talking more about the players not on the list than players on the list. Now team B is the bride of Nigerian football. If he carries A they will cry why not B. If he carries B they will say the man is corrupt. 1 Like 1 Share

Mujtahida:Honestly, I cant wait for this happen. The Nwakali brothers, Azubuike, Ebere Eze and Nwobodo will bring sexy back to the Super Eagles. Add a fully pumped Iwobi and lots of Nigerians will pass of excitement from watching good football even on a rice field. 1 Like |

goldfish80: Oga, why do you always make comments like these? That's how the other time you magnified Cameroon so tey you became a Cameroonian fan at a point. So because Nwakali and Azubuike are not in this team your own World Cup has come and gone. Well, for me the World Cup party is just about to start. I have placed order for my jersey already. I have my collection of Green and White Super Eagles Survenoirs. I am placing them on my dash board like I always do during major competitions. The World Cup party takes place only once in 4 years and I would not let one or two players that were not selected spoil my fun. And by the way, DR Congo are no pushovers either. This is the same Congo team that played Egypt out of the park in Cairo and could've easily won that match, if they had taken their chances. And it took a dodgy injury time penalty for Egypt to beat them 2-1 in Cairo! So let's put this performance in perspectives as well ... they played against a good team. O pari goldfish80: 4 Likes |
