livinus009: Wrong. The girl's parents are Catholics and guy's dad is Pentecostal. Catholics hardly agree to marry outside the Catholic Church unless you convert to Catholic. So her mom opposed the marriage. |

quentin06: Weird. Seems you read a different report from what the lady narrated. The mom opposed the marriage when the guy refused to wed in the Catholic Church. How did you read about the mom looking for opportunity to sleep with the guy and being a shameless mother? Or are you talking from personal experience? |

TheVerdict:There is something fishy about the story. The lady took the guy home ,her family objected due to one reason and 2 months after he got married to another lady!!! Does that mean he met the second lady within 2 months and quickly married her or he was dating her while dating the other other lady? Which means the guy is most likely a cheater and a liar. Secondly why the rush if everything is normal and he truly loves the lady? he could have waited and tried to reach a compromise with the lady family. |

Young woman, your family ruined ur life already. Religion ruined ur life as well. You were not ready for marriage simple. And how are you sure that ur eventual catholic husband won't be worse than mr A? Grow up. |

livinus009: This is the problem with many of you NLers/young folks. Your comprehension is ridiculously and embarrassingly off-tangent. You simply introduced perspectives that are exact opposite of what is in the writeup |

Was she ever abused by the guy? I dont understand this narrative, is she mocking the status of an ex guy or what? So she is still checking on the life of a man who decided not to marry her shebi.every person's tale is different, she and her father should grow up and move on. 1 Like |

Esseite: What you said about introverts are true. I am one but I am trying to break out of it. I have come to understand extroverts are the ones with more friends, more connected so they do better in business. I'm definitely getting married to an extrovert. The home will be too boring for two introvert couple. 2 Likes 1 Share |

CastedAyo:Lol There was nothing violent about his refusal to marry you in the Catholic church. He is a wife beater, fine! I am glad you did not end up with a violent person. But please, let's be objective here, if wedding venue is "ordinary" as you put it here, why do you Catholics insist always that when a person is marrying a member of your church, the wedding must take place in your church? Why? Wedding venue is not ordinary, if it were, you and your family would have easily conceded to his demand. |

BiggyB242:I am one too bro. Don't need to break out of it. You can make the best of it! About extroverts having more friends, that may be true, but remember, Judas was a friend to Jesus too! Managing "many" friends can be exhaustive and time consuming. The extrovert may be quite entertaining and fun to be with, but the introvert's insight trumps it all! About connection and business acumen, introverts too have excelled in business. Bill Gates - Introvert, Mark Zuckerberg - Introvert, our very own Aliko Dangote - Introvert. So you see, introversion does not limit your capacity to excel in business. There is a book titled "Quiet" by Susan Cain which talks so much about the secret power of the introvert. You can also look for her TEDtalk on youtube. Wish you the best. 1 Like |

It may be wedding venue or choice of toothpaste.. A man that cannot compromise on little issues with the woman he loves would be difficult to please and may resort to physical violence or emotional blackmail if you dare to insist on your opinion |

luckyogor: I Iike your perspective. This looks like ; 1. She was still "monitoring".... probably "first love" affection still strong. 2. The guy must have been daft and ridiculously proud to boot. I do not know which culture allows the groom to dictate to brides parents the terms of the marrying their daughter. How can you insist on not wedding in the the bride's parents' church? 3. I do not think he's a serial cheater. I imagine being the son of a Go, and seeing how his parents are worshipped like gods, he imagined all men should treat him like that, including his potential wife and parents-in-law. 4. I imagine he would have been like "wtf? Plenty babes in my father's church dying to marry me, this one dey do yanga" . So his parents got him a wife sharp-sharp. Who wouldn't want to marry into GO's family. Our Catholic wife can go to blazes. What is there in wedding to organize in less than 2months for a Go's family? 5. They guy now got married and realized that great mistake he made, hence took frustration on wife. It has all the trappings of lack of humility, self-aggradisement, and lack of wisdom. He could have married this classic good-family-background Catholic sister. He is probably not a wife beater, but a frustrated soul. But what do I know? |
