Former Governors of Ogun state from 1999 - 2011 (Olusegun Osoba and Gbenga Daniel) were Christians. Alao Akala of Oyo is a Christian. All Governors of Ekiti since '99, Fayose, Niyi Adebayo and FAyemi were all Christians. Currently Ambode is a Christian, Akeredolu is also a Christian, Fayose is a Christian. I have a major problem with the religion aspect more than anything else. This is because Nigerians by nature are hypocrites as Jesus called the Pharisees whether "Christendom" (exemption JW/True Christians)or Muslims. The truth be told, some will use Mal 3:10 to rob their congregants blind, ending up using their tithe to buy private jets, set up enterprises like universities etc which has no connotation to Bible teachings nor do their pastors care about the morals, Biblical wisdom/knowledge of their congregant John 3:17. The Muslims on the other hand will want to have you believe they have a religion of Peace and they practice the opposite, they talk of immoralities and undermine women with vails as if only women causes immoralities (their men and women are worst morally than ordinary secular individuals). They preach no education but they want the best the western education has provided in democracy and all. Let everyone do their religious things in private without coming out with it to "disturb others with their hypocrisy as it were". Let the political matter be done without religious injection as they are two unrelated matter when it comes to true GODLINESS learn from JW and see what this really means. Politic In itself is a necessary evil and addition of religion is a bad combination as we see in Nigeria. Nigerian leaders take note!

I don't like to do this as I have vowed to stop viewing things thru ethnic/religious lens. The same thing happen in 2015 during presidential election when people said they won't vote for Muslim/Muslim candidates and in Lagos State where they threatened that d gubernatorial candidates must be Christians.
