PDPGuy:As things stand, Simy being at the WC should be lingering in Rohr's mind. He should only be contemplation who should be first choice in Russia. Simy, apparently has emerged as a big threat to Ighalo's place as first choice after yesterday's game. |

Neimar: Naija is not Brazil nah what do you expect, you expect them to play for Madrid and co right ? Even the holand national team don't have players in big club any more, just few like van dijk, what about Portugal ? filled with bunch of average players, like Bruno Alves of Rangers,Eder of locomotive Moscow, adrien Silvia of leichester,Ruben neves of wolfs, but the same average Portugal won the 2016 euros. What about Spain that have Barca and Madrid and ATM boys why didn't they win the euros ? What about Italy that have juventus boys whey didn't they win the euros ? But an average Portugal that don't have players in big clubs won the tournament I see you as a troll,if you know nothing about national team football keep your mouth shut bro 13 Likes 1 Share |

Ezeji: Simy Nwankwo, Lokosa Should Make Eagles World Cup Squad May 28, 2018 10:46 pm Former Nigeria striker Victor Ezeji has urged Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr to include Crotone striker Simeone Nwankwo amd Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) top scorer Junior Lokosa of Kano Pillars in his 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. Both Nwankwo, also known as Simy, and Lokosa made their debuts for the Super Eagles in their 1-1 draw against Democratic Republic of Congo in a friendly on Monday in Port Harcourt. The two debutants gave a good account of themselves, especially Nwankwo who went close on several occasions and hit the post but was unlucky not to score. Speaking as a pundit on SuperSport, Ezeji, who played for Sharks, Dolphins, Enyimba, Eagles Cement during his 20-year playing career, posited that Nwankwo would be a very good option to have in attack alongside Odion Ighalo. “Simeone keeps the ball, attacks the ball and shows a lot of qualities. Odion Ighalo cannot do it all alone,” Ezeji said. “I know a a good striker when I see one. So for me Simeon should be in Russia. “For Junior, he can also make the squad to Russia although he is still growing. He is young and may not have the experience but with his performance against Congo, he can be considered.” Up next for the Eagles is another friendly against 2018 World Cup-bound England in Wembley Stadium on Saturday, June 2. https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/ezeji-simy-nwankwo-lokosa-should-make-eagles-world-cup-squad/ |

Mikel don’t play like Okocha, but they both can hold the ball, control the game, and spray passes. Are there other Nigerian players wirn these attributes even outside the 30 man list? Martz101: |

ABOVE AVERAGE: How Super Eagles Rated Vs DR Congo May 28, 2018 8:33 pm Completesportsnigeria.com’s ADEBOYE AMOSU rates the Super Eagles players following their 1-1 draw in a friendly game against Democratic Republic of Congo at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Monday… FRANCIS UZOHO 7/10 The young goalkeeper looked solid in goal and made three brilliant saves in the game . TYRONNE EBUEHI 6/10 Was lively early in the game but fizzled out later. He did enough to prove he can give regular right-back Shehu Abdullahi proper competition. WILLIAM TROOST-EKONG 7/10 Scored his side’s first goal of the game. The Bursaspor of Turkey centre-back was impressive and coped well with the Congolese forwards. LEON BALOGUN 6/10 Missed a good chance of registering a goal from a corner kick in the second half. Had a difficult time stopping the dangerous Benik Afobe. ELDERSON ECHIEJILE 5/10 Average performance from the left-back who was duly hauled off after the break. JOEL OBI 5/10 The Torino midfielder didn’t make much impact in the game, but showed flashes of brilliance. His chances of a berth in final squad have not been enhanced. OGENYI ONAZI 5/10 An average performance from the stand-in captain who failed to replicate his impressive past showings for the Super Eagles. KELECHI IHEANACHO 6/10 Started the game brightly but somehow struggled afterwards. He set up his side’s only goal. He was substituted after the break. OGHENEKARO ETEBO 6/10 Full of running in the middle of the park and showed his versatility by playing on the left side of the attack later in the game. JUNIOR LOKOSA 7/10 Played in an unfamiliar right-wing position and showed some promise. He did his chances no harm. SIMEON NWANKWO 8/10 The Crotone of Italy forward came close to scoring twice in the game and showed good skills on the ball. He lacked good service but imposed himself on the game. SUBSTITUTES MIKEL AGU 5/10 Came in for Joel Obi after the break and didn’t make much impact following his introduction. OLA AINA 5/10 The half time substitute made forays upfront unlike the man he replaced, Elderson Echiejile but was unlucky to concede the penalty that led to the Congolese equalising goal. KENETH OMERUO 5/10 Came in Leon Balogun did his best to help stabilize the defence which looked shaky for majority of the game. AHMED MUSA 5/10 Looked lively after coming in for Junior Lokosa 20 minutes from the end. SHEHU ABDULLAHI 5/10 Didn’t spend enough time on the pitch to affect the game positively. |

Joebie:I don't want to talk again outside 30 man list but Rohr need to mange this team especially midfield. What happened to Brazil against Germany would be a child play cos the team was exposed due to players with similar style of play (Fernadinho,Paulinho,Ramirez,Gustavo) in the midfield and with players like Onazi, Etebo,Agu,Joel, and Ogu am foreseeing issues if not managed tactically. It's apparent that without Mikel the team will keep on struggling.Hope Rohr will do the needful tactically. How |

Humility017:Well any plyer picked by Rohr has my support either Echiejile or Aina but based on Congo match Aina is my pick though he should have done better with that fake penalty.Echiejile to me has lost it cos it was damn too obvious yesterday but Rohr has final say. 1 Like 1 Share |

realpoacher:I said it! I preached this a long time ago but some folks seemed to be blindfolded by some exploits of several years ago. Joel is generously overrated. I hope Rohr has seen that. |
