Bro if you don't mind try to bring it down a bit ..20k should be fine, especially if the car is in top shape or tokunbo.. Am trying to be objective and fair at the same time ..also keep in mind that we are in the raining season.. A lot of cars do break down, this is the high season for mechanic to chop and clean mouth.. Please put all that into consideration too ..am talking from experience

Inorder not to default on weekly rental, you need to make/keep your partner's money first, before you think of making anything for yourself.
A lot of drivers believe they can make partner's money by driving Friday to Sunday (which is true), he might be unlucky and the unforeseen will happen, that will be too late because he has spent Monday to Thursday money as he was making it

TheCar:

Let me quickly ask some questions.

Please do share with us, as a Driver why you default in your weekly rental?

If it has happened to you before as a driver, what went wrong? What cause it and what did you do after that to ensure it never happen again.

As a driver, if you have never defaulted before in your weekly rental, what do you do differently from people that has defaulted.

Please come and share with the house.

You are rite my brother.. By the way raining season is here.. Me am taking my time.. Am waiting for the first batch of cars to fall victim to the rain.. The people that will suffer are ones that uber is the only source of income.. For a fact I will slow down bringing in cars ...once the rain settle down, will hear stores that touches.. Partners if you like continue driving your cars in the rain and all the bad places.. My advice which am not trying to force anybody, if you have a few fleet the ones that are down coz of the affect of the rain, just park quietly o till the rain either stops or roads are better.. There is no point fixing the same issues again that was caused by the rain and than put it out their to cause the same problem.. This is a mechanic season or they go chop money clean... " What a great time to be alive "
Bros if we come park how we go take manage naa?
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by jideking(m): 2:15pm On May 29, 2018
The problem with taxify is because they don't charge cancellation fee, so the riders feel they can do as they wish. Let taxify start charging and watch them switch demeanour

Gentlelife50:

Lol, sorry. Some will even tell you to come fast and you drive like James Bond to their pick-up point and they be like please give me 5 minutes I am coming and you'll wait for another ten minutes they won't still come out. Some will still be bathing and make a request only for you to get their and start waiting for them. The Job can make one go crazy mhen. Uber riders are more better, most times they'll be patient for you to get to their pick-up point.

The ideal way is for drivers to pay rental on Day 1 of the week. And renew subsequently.

But most e-hailing cars are dead and nonsense.

For instance a driver pays rental and few days later, car develops an issue, its his loss..

All these car owners shouting #assurance, don't have #assured cars. Yes I said it. Your cars are dead. Quote me.

I will pay rental on day1 and renew subsequently for any tokunbo car in pristine condition.

But a Nigerian used car, previously driven on Uber/taxify, I will pass over.

Driver-partners, ensure to test the car like u are buying a car, before you pay #assurance.

Ask them why the previous driver dropped the car, even request for the ex-drivers number to ascertain what you are jumping into.

Most of these car-owners are liars. Quote me.

In, all, there are very few good men "car-owners, and partner-drivers alike"

P.S, I have ZERO tolerance for driver default.

Exactly, no charges for waiting. So the driver can wait for a rider like forever. But they'll have to hurry if it's uber.

I can only speak for myself in that order... I also stated that before any driver drops his assurance he must check the car first.. I even stated that a grace period of three days should be enough for the driver to see if his assurance car is worthy to be assured.. Now that been said ...
Mr. Man how long have you been on the thread? I belief that you have been long on the thread enough to know, who sells USA spec oil, know enough to buy tokunbo tires, know enough a good mechanic to go to on the thread, know enough to reccomend a good fleet manager ...All these know is easily on the thread for you to figure out.. If you truly know enough, you should know enough who has cars that are fully in good shape for assurance deposit... let us use wisdom my brother.. if you don't know ,now you know ...

One he-goat just made me transfer #100 to his account.
Trip fare from fola agoro to Lekky County was #3400. He gave me #3500 and asked for #100 change. I told him I didn't have #100; but I have #200, so does he have #100 let me give him the #200. He said no.

I had to transfer #100 to him from my account, at the cost of #52.50.

You should have transferred airtime instead.. The commission fee would have been 20naira..

Please don’t you currently do vehicle inspection before collecting a car on rental?

I think it should be a must before you sign any agreement with any car owner.

Why would any driver collect faulty car that would eventually affect his performance?

When people refuse to share their experience, they are indirectly setting up other people for failure.

If you have a car owner with a bad car, would it be nice sharing so your colleagues don’t fall victim?

If your driver is a bad driver or doesn’t meet up with his weekly rental, you would be setting up a trap for his next victim when you refuse to share your story.

Please let share experiences.

Desperation to just get going doing something. Most drivers in that situation think they can manage and edge, as they do their work day after day. That was possible when everything was buoyant, when a driver could gross #30,000 cash in one working day
Not now, though. But still, most drivers are hopeful things will work out for them eventually
