What you said about introverts are true. I am one but I am trying to break out of it. I have come to understand extroverts are the ones with more friends, more connected so they do better in business.

I'm definitely getting married to an extrovert. The home will be too boring for two introvert couple.

Yes, getting married to an extrovert will give you a balanced life but at the same time, you've not taken good notice of your strengths and goodly attributes. Introverts are really sincere, loyal and observant. One thing I personally wouldn't like losing is my power to observe. It has kept me on edge of relationships. I can tell a person's personality on few encounters with them all because I'm very observant.
You still have deep insights too that you is not common to come by. In short, you won't have everything you like about yourself now if you're an extrovert. There's always more to introverts and there will always be more to you. happy discovering!

Moral lesson, what an elder sees sitting down, a young person may not see standing on top the tallest iroko tree. There is wisdom in the words of our parents
Forget that thing. If Most parents in Africa are still carrying bible, Teaching their children to pray over their problems and telling them Jesus is the way. Guy our Elders are "FvCked"

Same here bro, I could read a person sometimes I can tell his or her next move. I remember telling my ex " don't try to be smart just be yourself, because I can read you". I thought it was just me, never knew it was a trait peculiar to introverts.

I am one too bro. Don't need to break out of it. You can make the best of it! About extroverts having more friends, that may be true, but remember, Judas was a friend to Jesus too! Managing "many" friends can be exhaustive and time consuming. The extrovert may be quite entertaining and fun to be with, but the introvert's insight trumps it all! About connection and business acumen, introverts too have excelled in business. Bill Gates - Introvert, Mark Zuckerberg - Introvert, our very own Aliko Dangote - Introvert. So you see, introversion does not limit your capacity to excel in business. There is a book titled "Quiet" by Susan Cain which talks so much about the secret power of the introvert. You can also look for her TEDtalk on youtube. Wish you the best.

Yes having a lot friends can be so exhausting. Extrovert are fun to be with and that's one thing I admire about them, pulling the crowd. I will definitely get that book, thanks.

It's a pity how people have allowed themselves to be messed up. And that he was forced out of marrying his choice and then forced into marrying the wrong one which eventually made a home tiger out of him. You did not tell us if you have married and how you are faring, since you insinuated that his wife sent him to jail for beating her because and your father saved you.

I don't know when culture you follow when you let your father's house dictate to you into a man's house. Christ is the head over the man and man is the head over his wife. It's a spiritual thing. Since the two believe in Jesus, shouldn't a wife submit from the beginning and why would you stop a man from living his wife the way he chooses?
If the wife decides where you do your wedding, then you have given your spiritual authority in your house to your wife and it's not because God changed His mind and gave you foetus. I already said the two are believers unless they are hypocritical.

So, do not glory over him, your father simply treaded you as an only child and it only postponed your sure lessens.

Sorry to derail your thread, but how true is this about introverts?

Have been told to advise people to marry more of introverts if they happen to meet one.

Reason being;
-They have integrity.
-They hate drama or attention seeking issues
-They are conservatives.
-They are good financial planners.
-They are intelligent and acute thinkers.
-They are the best advisers you can get.
-Once you can break one, you have your prince charming.
-They rarely cheat.

so true only if you can cope with moodiness.
-They are barely broke.
-They are neat and tidy

US-Based Nigerian lady @zynnnie on Twitter has narrated how her father saved her from an abusive relationship after a simple dispute with her fiance over wedding venue.

It turns out the guy had issues with violence. He went ahead to marry someone else and years later, he was locked up for beating his wife.

Read the story below;
"At 24,Mr A wanted to marry me,I was excited about it and was eager to take him home. This relationship wasn’t consummated cos I was/is a typical keep your equipment to yourself kinda girl.I snuck out of school to visit him numerous times until it was time for him to meet my parent

My mum liked him immediately mostly cos he was a doppelgänger of my late elder brother. she gave her blessings but it immediately went south upon realizing that he is a Pastor’s son, a general overseer’s son and we are Catholics. My parents are knight of the church .

He refused to wed me in my church and my mum refused I wed outside Catholic Church. Oh my father never said a word. He is annoyingly very calm in times a chaos, he was just smiling at me and my rants.

Everything was called off and I really didnt like my mum at that point, I felt robbed but my father told me something that eventually saved my life. I went to my dad and this man made me narrate the whole story to him. My father is very wise and intelligent.

My dad told me to date Mr A for one more year and after that he will tell me what to do to change my mother’s heart.I asked if he was suggesting I get pregnant and he said”I didn’t say that cos if you get pregnant, you will have the baby in my house and u will still not marry him”

Two months later, Mr A called me that he was getting married to another girl that his daddy arranged for him. I was broken and sad, I called my mum and was ranting on how she ruined my life and made Mr A marry another girl. My dad once again didn’t say a word.

I called my dad and told him then he said, “I knew you guys had no business getting married if something as common as venue of the wedding was an insurmountable problem, I just needed you to see it for yourself”

My dad’s statement woke me up from slumber and something clicked. I wiped my tears immediately and said thank u daddy. He started hailing me with his usual Ada obodo oyibo’m and Ada kpokee nkee kpokee nkee ( I don’t know what that last one means but he calls me that)

I remembered this story cos my dad asked about Mr A today. I told him that his father in law locked him up for beating his daughter and my dad nearly died of laughter.

End of thread. Moral lesson, what an elder sees sitting down, a young person may not see standing on top the tallest iroko tree. There is wisdom in the words of our parents. (NB: If you grew up in an abusive home then this thread is not for you)"

That's helpful. Some fathers are that calm and intelligent.

The most wise part in her story is her father telling her that if you get pregnant for him, you will have the baby in my house and you will still not marry him.

Mehn, I so much like that because that's the trap many ladies today have fallen into. Once they're pregnant for a potential woman beater they think he will change because they're pregnant or because of the new born. What a mistake. Some will just go ahead and marry him simply because they're pregnant. Even if the guy is not a woman beater but not just compatible with you, pregnancy is not a valid reason to forcefully marry him. Use your head!

Her father is a religious extremist n that's usually a foundational problem in many marriages.

A man should allow a man to get married where he wants to. This same girls father won't agree to leave his Catholic church to get married in a Pentecostal church and yet his forcing someone else to do same.

This girl in question can still get married to a lazy useless chronic woman beater in the future.

HIS DAD DIDN'T SAVE HER FROM ANYTHING.
