i don't think mourinho will lose his job because of his style.

man U knew exactly what they were getting into when they hired mourinho. they knew that that's the only style he uses. they went ahead and hired him

The Man utd board are questioning the kind of football the club is playing under Mourinho. The brand which the club built to the level of the richest club in England certainly wasn't built on negative football. Thats not the product they are trying to sell to the world. Hiring Mourinho was out of desperation to get to the top quickly after suffering since Ferguson left, in my opinion.

Ola Aina is more versatile in defense than Chidozie Awaziem. Remember Awaziem's school boy mistakes against South Africa. Ola Aina can play well in several positions. Joel Obi & Junior Lokosa should compete for one spot. Drop Uche Agbo & Mikel Agu.
Are you serious? Aina more versatile than Awaziem in defence. Lemme go and wash my eyes to make sure i am not......

Honestly, I really rate these players especially Onomah. He is a very good player.

I followed Bobby from his days at PSV before he moved to Barcelona. He even begged to play for Nigeria but he was subbed many times.

There a a video of his skills at 10 or 14, I can't remember. He dribbles like Messi. grin

I knew when Barcelona was banned from buying players because of him, and that made him to move to Liverpool.

I don't know much about him because I no dey scout players again but I think he must have progressed alot.

Very humble and level headed young man.

He speaks fluent Dutch and much to my suprise, I thought I could get him lost with my basic Lagos Yoruba. He completely disgraced me.

He plays with less show boating and more end product that's why I haven't seen him showing too much dribbling skills in U23 games.

Too late.

That’s his opinion of course. But why is he not giving Lokosa another chance against England? Aha!
We can’t use the excuse of Haruna, Ogbeche etc to say no more gatecrashers. If they gonna fool u with an outstanding performance before he World Cup, you may as well not invite them in the first place. Same applies to Joel Obi and Simy.

At the end of the day it is Rohr’s call. But nobody dey force am to drop 5. Who said he can’t drop 3 or 4 instead? It’s all his decision.

It seems u have forgotten to soon that Lokosa got his first invitation to promote the league. Oh sorry I’m wrong.
hasn’t he proven that his 18 goals is no fluke?

The fact is that nobody wants to admit they were wrong and call a spade a spade.

Too bad we might suffer big time from the wings incase something happens to any of the 2 wingers..

We are good at attacking via the wings and i expected Rohr to go with like 3 pacy wingers, but it's too late, we will make do with what we have.

That's just my fear and I know Rohr is aware. He should make sure we have capable back up for the two.

Hopefully, Simon Moses' result comes out good in London.

It's better he plays more end product than show beating. It means he is now matured. That's a good one.

I hope he still have the mind to play for Nigeria after we snubbed him several times?

Yes! He didn't wow me but I am made to understand he was played out of position. Maybe that could be the reason behind his inability to do anything on the wing.

If Rohr already intended to take him, the performance helps his cause but if not, did he do enough to kick out another player? Rohr has watched him train for a week and will be able to make a more informed decision than any of us. Decisions on dropping players are not easy.

I would like to see Lokosa again whether he makes the team or not because he deserves a second audition. I am always of the opinion that the NPFL players has to show what he can do at a higher level (because of the league standard) and he did just that when the opportunity came.

Lokosa got his invitation on the basis of a great league form. It would not have gone down well with many people if his record was ignored.

But he can't find anything outside the 30 man list again na... infact now 29...

That's why we need more AMs than DMs. About the defense, you think Rohr has would ever try some DMs in the defense?

You are quoting the wrong person. This was my post after the list was released:

tbaba1234:
I love the list, No messing around... Lokosa to reward his form. I don't expect him to make the final list.

Simy Nwankwo form also rewarded, it will be very hard for him to make the final 23.

You seem to always misconstrue wanting an NPFL player to prove himself at a higher level to mean, he hates the league. My position has always been consistent. I do not rate top scorers in the league until they can prove it at a higher level because of the low quality of the league. Whether that level is the the CAF champions league or in the national team. I am the same person that hyped Omoyele on this page after Plateau United Champions league display because i saw some quality.

I was not wowed by Lokosa's youtube highlights but he did himself some credit in the DRC game and deserves a second view. Whether it comes in London or later on is for the coach to decide.

My views have been always consistent on this issue and i do not put on any airs if i am wrong.

@1st bolded, that’s my point.

@2nd bolded, going by the Congo DR game, if we should also go by what people would say, he shouldn’t be dropped before the London trip. But it’s Rohr’s call all the same.

Yes, he deserves a second audition but right now is WC time, he should only be selected if he is in the coach's plans not because it is good for the NPFL.

He was good not outstanding in the DRC game.. his league record on the other hand is outstanding.

Hmm i disagree with your statement - Cameroon played defensively true but they also played good possession football and the goals they scored were methodical genius especially against england. Ghana played good possession football and deep probing of oppositions defense combined with good technical skills and fast transition form defense to attack. I cannot remember how Senegal played but what i do know is that none of these teams played like "Iceland" for instance i.e soak up the pressure then hit you on the break. They all played just as well as the opposition

not just soak up pressure, go and watch athletico Madrid then you will understand

How is his league record outstanding? I thought you had said you don’t rate the NPFL?! And, It’s not even really a record yet.

Truth is he showed he is a fine player and he made it seem something good can come from the NPFL yesterday. That IMO is outstanding.

The only good striker given a chance on your list is Nwakaeme but I don't see that as chance because the pitch was bad.

Kayode never started any of those matches he played as a striker. GBAM

Martins was in the form of his life yet no chance until e got injury trying to Impress the coaching crew.

The team that played Vs ATM especially in midfield impressed me more than the so called S.E main squad and they should add Utin biko as LB Aina was sooooo lazy, casual, slow and sloppy with his passes wonders if that's how he played for hull to amount such number of appearance.
Casual - that's the word that came to my mind ever since Aina played against Algeria and that's the word popping up in almost all accounts of his game yesterday. Does he really want to play for Nigeria? The passion seems not to be there.

That Senegalese team of 2002 had many skilful players - Diouf, Henri Camara etc. They played like Nigeria's team of 94.

Observations

With the high cost of the jersey, where does the NFF expect Nigerians to get it from? 31k just like that? Shuu!!!

So expectedly, the supporters club would be a representation of old things at Russia?; old drums, old trumpets, old boring, uninspiring songs, and old jerseys as well. They should number 120 in number. Abi it's free for them? grin

Oh, I wonder how Nike would feel when it's sees the made in nowhere 7k jerseys on almost all Nigerians entering the stadiums.

Lol.

Next, Lokosa and Ajiboye deserve all chance to start against England. Same for Omeruo. Let Nacho sit that match out. Uzoho has proved himself. Let Ajiboye get his big chance as well.

This one Chelsea and Roma is supporting us now, abeg o.
