Fayose to many is seen as the Father of Modern Ekiti and indeed he is living up to his billing on that if anything we see in the news lately are something to rely on. However, some folks only see him as a rabble rouser, a kpomo-cutting, aimless talking Governor who is not fit to be a Governor. Fayemi is on the other side a well read and more of a foreign based, trained consultant with big institutions and who also had a shot at being a Governor of Ekiti State too. There are allegations that during Faywmi's 4 years stint as Governor, he only commissioned 3 projects while many were left unaccomplished unlike Fayose who has a spread throughout the whole of the State in his projects handiwork. This thread is meant to compare who achieved more in delivering the dividends of democracy to their people during their times as Givernors. I am throwing it open to those who are based in Ekiti and can convincingly point to us who achieve more in terms of projects delivery to the great people of Ekiti, especially those with pictorial evidences. Thank you all.

Don't do this to Fayose. It won't end well.

You, in your quest to make Fayose look good are opening him up to public ridicule and scorn.

Do you know that in Fayeni's term as governor he didnt owe worker's salary? He left owing just a month which was because the month had not ended before he left office. Fayose is owing 8 months salary and is not talking.

This is what Atiku had to say about Fayemi

"Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Monday inaugurated the 300-bed Oba Adejugbe General Hospital, Ado Ekiti, built by the Governor Kayode Fayemi administration, saying the governor’s feat is an indication that Nigeria needs devolution of power to the states in order for state governments to perform optimally.
The former vice president, who described Mr. Fayemi’s performance as extraordinary, said it was high time the Federal Government stopped getting involved in some sectors of the economy because they are better handled by state governments which are closer to the people than the federal government.
Atiku added that most of the developmental projects he had commissioned in recent time in some states were initiated and completed by state governments.
He expressed amazement at the physical infrastructure which Governor Fayemi put in place in Ekiti State, noting that only an extraordinary and intellectual leader could do such.
“I think his (Fayemi’s) performance is extraordinary. Early this year I was here and when I came here, this very edifice was not available and driving round the city is also amazing because there are quite a number of infrastructural facilities that have come up. So I think it is an extraordinary performance,” he said."

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/169115-atiku-commissions-300-bed-hospital-in-ekiti.html

Do you know where the said hospital is right now? It is there paying host to insects and reptiles. Fayemi commissioned it in October 2014 before he left, Governor Fayose has refused to open it and equip it because it is not his project.

But bringing and posting links here is just a joke.

Let everyone have fun on their own.

Get on google and do a little exercise.

Type "Fayose Commissions road"

Then type "Fayemi commissions road"

Even though one has left office about 4 years ago, you are still likely to see more of his projects than the present one.

Worse still is that for some reasons, Fayose has commissioned more projects outside Ekiti than inside Ekiti

Well it is interesting to see that our mods are also getting to the fray of Ekiti politics and already taking sides.. grin shocked

To answer your question, Fayose definitely commissioned more project than Fayemi....This is nothing to compare here whatsoever.#fact#

Fayemi only did some few kilometers of road, wasted Ekiti money on a jamboree in Ikogosi warm spring with no clear cut policy drive and support to make it attain his full potential and finally commissioned a government house with palatial 56 million naira bed which God didn't allow him to use, left two months salaries.....Left the state indebted and mortgaged the economic future of the state till 2036 to the tune of 36 billion naira with absolutely nothing on ground to show for it safe for his government house on the rock where he wanted to live like a Dubai prince away from the people that voted him.
Took all our money to build private university in Ghana while the state owned university was in comatose...Sponsored Mr. Buhari's presidential campaign from part of the loot and with that he got the ministerial appointment where he has been nothing short of monumental disappointment.

As against Fayose that is faced with dwindling resources coupled with monthly deduction to pay back the loan Fayemi took..Several roads constructed, built state of the art governor's office, Befitting high court complex for the Judiciary and a master piece of 1.9km overhead bridge, ultra modern market in the state capital and many more....All this without borrowing kobo...
And yes he is owing salaries and he already made a commitment that he will try and pay up before his tenure ends...Even Bayelsa, Delta,Akwa Ibom been oil producing states are owing salaries...So it is never a crime for just about the poorest state in Nigeria to owe salaries which the governor has promised to pay up in any case.

That brings me to the evil economics of this satanic "regime" where they have borrowed 11 trillion naira in just over 3 years of their inglorious reign as against the 6 trillion naira that PDP borrowed in 16 years and yet they keep shouting about one useless foreign reserve when there is absolutely nothing to show for the money they borrowed...

Oshiomole wrecked Edo state with debt, same with hell rufai of Kaduna and yet still seeking more....Aregbese in Osun always makes me wonder whether Osun state will ever be the same again....Now you ask yourself is it in the destiny of this evil party to wreck whatever they lay their cursed hands on with debt?? With absolutely nothing to show for it?

14th of July is date and we are here in Ekiti waiting for the 77 career rogues, fraudster and army of fulani herdsman wanting to come and wreck our dear state like the hardship they have already visited on Ondo state after they voted to cook soup there.

"THIS IS EKITI STATE"...Fayose has always been the nemesis of you evil lot and that is not about to change now(Ask Fayemi and his God father Niyi Adebayo)...You will all be thoroughly defeated and humiliated out of Ekiti....It is a fight between God of Israel and bunch of blood drinking, flesh eating Baal worship scoundrels.

God of Israel shall gives us victory!!...Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka is our God anointed next Governor of our dear state

Ire oooo.

We, Nigerians, are really stupid.
Why do we think so narrowly?
Physical projects have limited impact without taking into consideration the soft side of human capital.
Why don’t we ask how Fayemi and Fayose

- improved or worsened the teacher:students ratio in primary, secondary and vocational schools?
- improved or worsened the provision of tap water?
- improved or worsened the enrolment of children in public schools?

These and more similar questions will reveal who has created a better environment for people and businesses to thrive in a sustainable way.

October 16, 2012 marked two years that Dr. Kayode Fayemi assumed office as the Governor of Ekiti State after his stolen mandate was restored by the Court of Appeal.
Confronted by gargantuan challenges of governance and a huge burden of expectation from the people of the state who expected their problems to be immediately solved, Fayemi has slowly but steadily won the hearts of Ekiti citizens within two years in office.
The second anniversary of Fayemi’s ascension to power gave the people of the state an opportunity to assess their governor and the projects executed so far to ascertain the impact they would have on the citizenry.
Invited guests and visitors who came to celebrate Fayemi’s second anniversary in office were completely dumbfounded by the enormity and quality of projects carried out by the administration.
This should be expected because Fayemi chose to work silently behind the scene and allow his work to speak for him rather than spending huge resources of the state on razzmatazz in a bid to glorify himself.
But the people of Ekiti State have cause to thank God for the various people-oriented projects executed and commissioned for their use by the Fayemi administration to marks its 730 days in office.
The projects range from roads to schools, enterprise development centres, skills acquisition centres, stadium facilities, electricity projects, water projects, among others.
Hitherto dilapidated schools were renovated during the eight-week long vacation period and commissioned for the use of appreciative students and teachers who resumed to their completely transformed schools.
The schools were renovated under the first phase of Operation Renovate All Schools in Ekiti (ORASE) as classrooms, hostels, dining halls, laboratories, administration blocks were touched to make learning and extracurricular activities conducive.
As the government commissioned projects for the use of its citizens, it also laid the foundation stones of new projects it hopes to complete within the last two years of the four-year mandate.
The foundation of what the administration christened as Legacy Projects for which it expects to be remembered by generations yet unborn include new Government House, new Governor’s Office, Civic Centre and State Pavilion.
Foundation stones of ultramodern Trailer Park in Omuo-Oke, Life Academy in Iluomoba and Samsung Engineering Academy in Ado which are expected to touch the lives of the host communities were also laid.
Projects commissioned on the first day, October 9, 2012 include a Data Centre at Governor’s Office and the renovated Oluyemi Kayode Stadium which was in a state of disrepair when the administration came on board.
The people of Ilupeju-Ijan in Gbonyin Local Government Area in Ekiti South Senatorial District praised Fayemi to high heavens on October 10, 2012 when the governor commissioned the community’s electricity project.
They sang, they danced and exhuded unspeakable joy after the governor switched on the light to deliver them from darkness, promising to repay him with votes at the next governorship election.
To residents of Ilawe-Ekiti, headquarters of Ekiti South West Local Government in the same senatorial district, the commissioning of Ilawe-Igbara Odo-Ibuji Road was dreams come true.
The road now serves as an alternative route to commuters travelling to Akure, the Ondo State capital from Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital following the collapse of Ondo State portion of Ado-Ikere-Akure Road.
Residents of Ilawe were marvelled at the transformation of the premier post-primary institution in the town, Corpus Christi College which was commissioned by Fayemi.
Other projects commissioned include Enterprise Development Centre, Aisegba-Ekiti; Omuo-Oke Grammar School, Omuo-Oke; Obada High School, Obada and Africa Church Comprehensive High School, Ikere.
On October 10, 2012, Fayemi’s commissioning train rolled into Ekiti Central Senatorial District which also witnessed a harvest of projects in all the five local government areas.
Projects unveiled are Erijiyan-Ilawe Road, Efon-Ipole Iloro-Ikogosi Road both of which lead to the Ikogosi Warm Spring Tourist Resort, Awo-Iyin Road, Ado-Afao Road and Ado-Ilawe Road, Ipoti High School, Odo Owa-Okeila Road which leads to Osun State.
Equally commissioned by Fayemi are Odo-Uro Electricity Project, Efon Water Project, Okemesi Water Project, Ido-Ile Water Project, Ido-Ile Basic Health Centre, Iropora Skills Acquisition Centre, Eyemote Grammar School, Iyin and Erelu Adebayo Orphanage, Iyin.
The rest are Mary Hill Water Project, Ijigbo-Isato Road, EKSUTH-Fajuyi Road and the massively renovated Ola Oluwa Muslim Grammar School, all in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital

I can count at least 30 projects from the above write up!!! cc tomakint seguno2 dhabrite tonason
and all the fayose worshipers come and tell us what he did in ekiti

fayemi also commissioned ikogosi after rebuilding it http://theeagleonline.com.ng/fayemi-commissions-redeveloped-ikogosi-resort/

fayose abandoned it and left it to rot!!!!

http://thenationonlineng.net/ekiti-community-fayose-revive-ikogosi-warm-spring-resort/

another article testifying to fayemi's wonderful work by vanguard

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/02/fayemi-49-garlands-peoples-governor/

The award-winning cartoonist who was a nominee at the NMMA, when asked to comment on the drawing simply said: “the cartoon speaks for itself.” According to him, Governor Fayemi has done so much to develop the state and its citizens that he had in the process, inadvertently, raised the bar of governance as well as qualification for political office in the state.
A vast majority of the participants at the event who are mostly first time visitors to the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort- where nature and modernity have a perfect blend- could not but agree with him.
The new life that has been injected into the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort is an eloquent testimony to the transformative leadership style of the Governor who masterminded the redevelopment of the once moribund spring to a world class standard tourist centre. But in actual fact, Ikogosi Warm Springs, like the Ekiti Project itself, remains a work in progress, as the government has concluded plans for the second phase of development with a foreign technical partner.
The successful transformation of Ikogosi Warm Springs, many believe, is a product of courage, vision and penchant for excellence which the Fayemi administration is noted for. In just about three and a half years, the JKF administration has impacted positively on the lives of the citizens and the various communities with its well structured developmental strategies anchored on the 8-point agenda.
Just as the JKF’s Midas touch has brought life back to Ikogosi, two moribund industries- Ire Bricks Factory and Odua Enterprise Centre (formerly Oodua Textile) have also been resuscitated. This helped to expandthe State’s r, providejob opportunitiesfor the youths, encouragenew skills acquisition by workers and enlarge the middle class in the State. By ensuring peace and tranquillity and putting relevant laws in place to protect investments and investors, the state has been able to attract scores of billion naira private sector investment.
Fayemi’s quiet revolution in the agriculture sector has energised the sector, leading to more youths embracing commercial agriculture under its Youth in Commercial Agriculture Development (YCAD) scheme. This pragmatic approach to agric business and the attendant empowerment programmes for the young farmers is gradually making Ekiti the food basket of the nation, while raising a crop of young entrepreneurs in that sector.
A passionate and compassionate leader, Fayemi in the bid to take good care of the indigent elderly citizens of the state, established the Social Security Benefit Scheme that gives every qualified elderly citizens N5,000 stipends monthly.
The number of beneficiaries has since been increased to 25,000 elderly citizens drawn from the 16 local government areas of the state. Other components of the social security scheme include the food bank (where indigent old people could go and get a meal and or food items).
According to available statistics from the State Burof Statistics [SBS] , within three and a half years, the JKF administration has jobs of different categories to the tune of 3,327 in 2011 and progressively increased the figure to 10,465 and 30,187 in and 2013 respectively.
A total of 736.715km of roads havebeen constructed since when he made known his plan to make all parts of Ekiti accessible by major roads before the end of 2014. dams in the state become the bid to water supply coverage by eighty per cent.
The huge investment in education including the computer per child initiative, massive renovation of all public schools and the introduction of various capacity building programmes for the teachers has also started to yield positive results with the remarkable performance of students in external examinations as well as state and national competitions.
The comprehensive renovation and equipment of all the general hospitals and health centres across the state as well as the Free Medical Mission programme which has covered nearly 400,000 people has also helped to create a more healthy citizens. Indeed the JKF vision of banishing poverty and sickness in the state is becoming a reality.
Fayemi has demonstrated that an activist in government can make a difference. In three and a half years he has shown through his works that he is a builder of a new dawn, working with imagination, insight and boldness. He presents the challenge that calls for the best in people and brings them together around a shared sense of purpose. His eyes are on the horizon, not just on the near at hand. He is a social innovator and change agents who is able to motivate the citizens with better ideas for optimal productivity.
As an inspiring leader, Fayemi has been able to replace transactional politics of yester years with transformational leadership. His emphasis has always been on how institutional framework can be strengthened to ensure effective service delivery; How leaders and the led can work together to achieve common goals. What mechanism and processes should be put in place for genuine and effective empowerment of the citizens towards the attainment of the good life for all.
JKF continues to espouse this concept of good governance, participatory democracy and strengthening of institutions in practical terms especially in the running of the affairs of Ekiti State by laying emphasis on key elements of good governance including accountability, transparency, efficiency and effectiveness, responsiveness, the rule of law and forward vision. He believes that trust is a public good without which no great thing can be achieved collectively. Hence, he believes trust has to be earned.
Fayemi’s unique approach to governance and style of doing development with the people has inspired hope of a better tomorrow for Ekiti people. Curiously this has remained a big headache for the opposition, many of whom find it extremely difficult to deny the pace of development that is evident in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
Thus, from the rolling hills of Ekiti comes forty and nine gbosas for John Kayode Fayemi, this innovator, social justice crusader, democrat and change agent – Oni Uyi, Oni Eye!- as he clocks 49 today
