Fair enough. That's the only difference.

Other than that, this team and 2002 team have many things in common - too many below average players.

I'm hoping for a different outcome from 2002 despite the stark similarities.
only jayjay is irreplaceable in that 2002 squad .this team is more promising

I can imagine this dudes desperation..

But seriously eeehh, I think some injuries are highly exaggerated.. Cos even in my local league, I know some folks who play with knocks, and injuries grin for days maybe weeks..
I know it's kinda dangerous but I think a kind of medicine or drug can be injected to keep him going for some time.. If he is that important oo
Yes the guy want to be part of it but sometimes it can be dangerous

I remember Ben Iroha hide his injury to make US 94 but thank God Emenalo was in the team. Also Amokachie did the same thing in 1998 to denied Akpoborie a chance.

Rohr has accepted the scan and ruled Simeon out but the player insisted on having another scan in London and Rohr granted his request.

Well those other "Greatestses" had something Leo Messi never had with Argentina - that is, a strong supporting cast. And you gotta ask yourself why.

Aguero is a world class player at ManCity but he never plays well for Argentina. Why?
Higuin always goes missing in big games. Why??
Angel Di Maria always gets injured before the crucial games in every tournament. Why

Messi can't do it all by himself. No one can. It's a team sport and takes 11 players.

Wowu, So it is actually a team work but you won't stop giving him all the Accolades for the effort of his other team mates? While reminding us How CR7 has Ramos and Marcello to help him win matches. No world cup trophy for Messi, the World doesn't owe him Pin

Smh without Simon Moses we will be down to one backup winger. How can a team go into the world cup with only 3 wingers? Imagine if Moses or Iwobi gets injured...

Simon would be a big loss.

Like I said before some many pages back Ighalo can play from the wing and so is Etebor while Simmy plays CF

The coach is very predictable. He had made himself clear. He is sticking with the majority of the boys that played the qualifiers. Especially his preferred first team & bench. If Simon is fit, he gets selected, otherwise, the spot is taken probably by simmy or Joel. The squad can't be far from the names below barring injury at the last minute to any of the players. Obedience, Loyalty, Experience, Talents, Competence & Seniority are all factored-in in choosing players in Nigeria.

Goalkeepers
1. Francis Uzoho
2. Ikechukwu Ezenwa
3. Daniel Akpeyi

Defenders
4. Bryan Idowu
5. Elderson Echiejile
6. Shehu Abdullahi
7. Tyrone Ebuehi
8. Leon Balogun
9. William Troost-Ekong
10. Kenneth Omeruo
11. Chidozie Awaziem

Midfielders
12. Ogenyi Onazi
13. Oyinye Ndidi
14. Mikel Agu
15. Joel Obi
16. Oghenekaro Etebo
17. Mikel Obi
18. Alex Iwobi

Attackers
19. Victor Moses
20. Ahmed Musa
21. Kelechi Iheanacho
22. Simmy Nwankwo
23. Odion Ighalo

Honourary Player
24. Carl Ikeme

FIFA should allow Nigeria to go with 30 players. Nigeria should be allowed to field 12 men against Croatia and Argentina but that wont stop the massacre that will happen.

Can Mikel and any of those wack midfielders match Modric and Rakitic in the midfield? Can your full backs stop Perisic? Can your central defenders stop Manzukic?

Nigeria dont know what awaits them in Russia. You people have been mouthing off against England. On 2nd of june, you arrogant ignoramuses will be shut up.

Rashford, Sterling and Kane will eat you for dinner.
keep quiet, go and watch France Vs Senegal

Let's be honest, Real Madrid can win and have always won without CR7 (this last UCL semi finals and the finals proved that; plus the Euro cup finals). Can either Barca or Argentina win without Leo Messi? Please be sincere in your answer grin

Simon-Moses must do scan in London before any decision is taken on him.

Lokosa was just to cover face. He was never in Rohr's plan.

Ezenwa must be the first choice goalkeeper. That's a good one.
Ezenwa stand no chance against uzoho.. The young man is tall good on area balls and stretches Vere well

Leave the guy na. Do you know that it was Baggio that buried us when we were at our brightest cuisp of advancing at the WC? Yet many of us love him purely for his footballing skills.

Zidane said that he was shocked at the warm reception he received when he went to Brazil because twice na im damage Brazil hopes. Once in the final in 98 and again in 2006.
U-20 na youth championship. I'm not a Messi fan but I respect his skill. Abi you just dey do am to spite Icon79

We really lack depth in this team...our saviour will be TEAMWORK...

I like it that Rohr signed a new contract and secondly,he LISTENS,not like Oliseh or Thijs Librets...with this ,there is hope that post Russia will be better
I thought depth was something we had going for this team. How is it that on the eve of the WC we are saying no depth?

The only problem is that we have too many DMs if not I don't see who else should be in that team that is not in the team.

they cant..they lack the x factor that teams need to win this tourney..the only team that seems not to have an x factor but goes ahead to win world cups is Germany but Germans have what most teams do not-mental strength..and that is not one of english virtues.

do you see people asking who is in 35 man list jn Spain or brazil...is senseless

some countries already sent there 23 man list, who told you there coaching crew didn't have a 35 man list before 23.

people read things in news out of context, Rohr answered obviously to a journalist that wanted to know why nwakali was not in the 30 man list since he did well in the athletico match and Rohr gave him an answer which he want to hear.

what is 35 man list, you should judge this man by his 23 man list and so far his been fair, infact most of is can predict his team so where is the nepotism??
This guy you funny ooo. Are you in Spain or Brazil? Na wa.
