Who to drop, Pros and cons.

Elderson Echijiele

Pros: Experienced, only natural left footer among the full backs,

Cons: Diminishing skills, lost pace, Inactive season (unable to get playing time in Turkey or the lower tiers of Belgium).

Ola Aina

Pros: Youth, Can play multiple positions, Long Throws, has a future with the team.

Cons: Has shown some defensive vulnerability, a natural right footer in the left wing, No shortage of options to replace him (Awaziem can also do what he does on the left and right and arguably does it better)

It is football. Forlan flopped at Manchester United and became the highest goal scorer in Europe playing for Villareal. Theirry Henry flopped at Juventus and later became one of the best strikers in the history of the game playing for Arsenal and Barcelona.
Klose flopped at Bayern scoring three goals all season but almost equalled Ronaldo's record in 2010 WC.

There are limited chances, so there will always be a norm for quality Potentials getting left out. The Dessers crew are not waging war against injustice. We pray for those who can help the team grow to get their chances.

Men.... una get time o.

Later they will say there is a gang up.

Please let's focus on a positive topic of discussion. The England game is fast approaching.

I want to know how manage Nwakali made the 35 man list at the detriment of players that performed better than him this season?

I don't know if that your question is the answer. Is it?
We don't know for certain who and who were on the 35 man list. All we know is Rohr said Nwakali was on it. The reporters should've asked him who were the 5 that were cut

See, even if we eventually win the WC forget those people. No need to have any confrontations with them. They don't even exist.

The more I think about it, the more I wish we could adopt 3 - 5 - 2 as our main Formation at the Mundial. This is the same Formation Philipe Trousier used in the 98 WCQ Matches that made us qualified without Permutations.

It's a big Doubt for Simon to make it to the Mundial, also Iwobi ain't a typical Winger we could rely on, rather an AM. We are getting it wrong by saying Iwobi can play as a Winger, cos he's simply playing as a RMF/LMF.

Musa on the hand is effective playing as a SS or a Striker. He got back to Form at CSKA Moscow not as a Winger rather as a SS. Only VicMo who played throughout the Season as a Wing-back at Chelsea I can possibly call a Winger in the Team at the moment.

We can choke up the Midfield with our best Midfielders, rely on the Pace of our Wing-backs, and a Playmaker who can do magic when needed behind a reliable Striker who won't be playing Guitar in the Box.

If I am in charge of this Team, I will select the Lineup and play the Formation as below to test run my Tactical Plans. In Addition, defensively the Formation automatically will switch to 5 - 4 - 1 with Moses doubling up with Shehu on the right, while Joel doubling up with Idowu on the left.

-------------------- Uzoho ---------------------

Ekong ---------- Balogun ------------ Echiejile

Shehu------ Ndidi ------ Joel ---------- Idowu

------------------- Mikel -----------------------

----------- Moses

------------------------ Ighalo -----------------

I know many Dudes will disagree with my Lineup cos there is no Iwobi, Iheanacho, Tyrone in it, but to me it's tactically better to have a very strong Bench who can make a Difference at any Point in time.

We shouldn't be only solid on the Pitch, we should also be solid on the Bench too, coz that really determined a formidable Squad. I will play Echiejile as the 3rd CB cos he has the Experience to perform in the Position. Defensively he's quite not a bad Player, and I will rather rely on his Experience than experimenting Awaziem or Omeruo in the Position.

I am not concerned about your views about Kayode and Nwakali because I can't recall any. Several people have shared their views on it here.

But I will advice you again to return to your analysis and quit being an advocate.

Let him share his views too and stop cheap blackmail of calling him advocate.

Very predictable fellow.

I also want Argentina to win WC but after losing to Nigeria in group stage.

Semi final is enough achievement for SE.

So if Nigeria beats Argentina in the group stages, why would Argentina go on to win the world cup? What happened to us dreaming of actually winning it? Because of Messi?

Frankly speaking, Messi doesnt need to win the world cup to prove that he is the all time best. Let us understand thatnsoccer is a team sport and not an individual thingy. Thanks

It was not a distraction then, abi?

Good formation but i don't see Echiejile as 3rd CB when we have Omeruo and Awaziem.

If you want to based it on experience, good we have Omeruo but i will preferred Awaziem, Ekong and Balogun cos they did it against Argentina.

At RWB,pls give me Ebuehi, really i rate Shehu ahead before but with Ebuehi performance against Congo he deserves to start.Shehu was woeful against Congo even worst than villain Aina in that match, may be due to fasting.

Pls remove Joel, till now am not impressed with Joel performance. Let's see Ogu again in that formation.

As you said good to have solid bench and with Iwobi and Iheanacho on the bench we are covered but how i wish they start in 3-5-2 formation cos they are top performers against Argentina.

Good formation my man.

Sometimes that Messi not winning the world cup statement like you just did is just sarcastic to me. Like cps of Messi, the status attached to the world cup would now be undermined, cos that's what I draw from such a statement.

He and Cr7 fall under this category so make dem shiftabeg.

The world cup is the best another beat play there and win...

Imagine those yeahs where world cup calibre players were denied the top best player cos of Messi and cr7!!! Sneijder and Iniesta. rem?

Kane hyping Dele Alli to crack our defence.

Is okay.

I prefer Omeruo to start ahead of Balogun sha.

Musa comes from the bench or don't get featured atall, except if need be. Do we have a Bale or a Sani Emmanuel.... no supersub yet in this team. phew.

Why Elderson, not Omeruo or Awaziem? Both of whom played the 3 man defence very well against Argentina. If experience is the consideration, why not Omeruo who is a much better CB than Elderson. That is a baffling choice when we have 2 other CBs.

Against Argentina, we benefited from the speed and fluidity of Iwobi and Iheanacho. Ighalo offers a more conventional CF approach. I do not know if that is beneficial. I feel Iwobi has to play with Mikel.
