I like Christian movies, especially movies like war room and the case for christ among others. But I detest many zion movies because I don't feel they are a true representation of a new covenant Christian. Every movie must be a means of spreading the gospel and strengthening the faith of fellow Christians. How does a movie like blood on the altar help to spread the gospel of christ? Or does it strengthen faith in any way? Rather it can lead baby Christians to backslide. |

spartan117:You are wrong about Mount Zion movies brother. In fact, blood on the altar is an award winning movie. It contains a lot of lessons for baby Christians and the so called matured ones. One of the lessons there to learn is that all ministers of the gospel need to take heed less they fall. The movies teaches us that a Christian is prone to demonic attacks as he continues to live in sin and also you become a toy in devil's hand. It also teaches that we can't hide our sins from God, though we cover them up and think nobody knows. A lot to learn from the movie my brother. Generally, Mount Zion movies preach messages suitable for this end time. Shalom! |

Re: Issues On Christian Movies. by spartan117(m): 3:15pm On Jun 01, 2018 |
babajeje123:A christian is NEVER prone to demonic attacks. Haven't you read that no weapon formed against you shall ever prosper? The reason Christians still get attacked is due to lack of knowledge "my people perish because of lack of knowledge" When you say to a devil go away in the name of jesus he has no choice but to go because "at the name of jesus every knee must bow" that is a spiritual law that has nothing to do with the person saying it (whether he has sinned or not is of no significance here) but everything to do with the person behind the name (jesus christ). This is an absolute spiritual law: Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; |

spartan117: You don't expect all Christian movies to be only for baby Christians, do you? Bishops need to be preached to also. Everyone is in a race and they all need strength, inspirations, motivations along each stage no matter how high the level they've attained. You also can't paint the Christian life to be all white just to win others over. Jesus never did that. Reveal the secret evils being indulged in the realistic life and show them the consequences. Except you hate the fact God forgives all sins when with a broken spirit and a contrite heart you open the door of your heart for Him to come purify it. Let's leave that to God. What I learnt from the movie is, those who think they've attained the peak of their spiritual lives should humble themselves and take corrections from their juniors in Christ since they (the seniors) can tell if the instructions are from God or not. Pride is really a very great sin and that's what many so called pastors are entangled in. They feel so proud to admit they've sinned so they delude themselves into believing personal asking of forgiveness of sin can save them without confessing it openly. God isn't a respecter of anybody. Most pastor's openly rebuke others but they do not want God to openly rebuke them. That's Pride and it reeds Selfishness. It's been a very long time I watched the movie though. 3 Likes |

Talking about Christian movies, I love them so much. Some are: faith like potatoes, the encounter, a date with a perfect stranger, fireproof, war room, the love séries, a love letter to God, facing the giants, the pilgrim's journey, courageous and the likes. Maybe some don't like it because they feel it's boring, they feel some extent of exagérations, they aren't Christians, they don't want anything to do with Christianity. Some are scared they will get converted or their consciences will be pricked and they can become restless. They might also feel it's a waste of their precious time since it won't gratify the desires of their flesh. The love for God, to know more about Him can increase one's urge for Christian movies. I believe those in charge of the movies should be gifted from above to not only catch the attention of the believers but the very adamant unbelievers also. Catchy adverts can also help and playing the movie during a get together can be a success. I believe Christian movies should be about what Christians can relate with, it should be motivating and should be in tandem with God's word. Most importantly, it should be inspired of God. 1 Like |

spartan117:When a Christian continues to live in sin, he becomes 。 to demonic attacks. Sin brings down the spirhitual walls around a child of God and breaks the relationship he has with God. Once these happen, such a person becomes vulnerable especially if he doesn't make ammendment on time. |
Re: Issues On Christian Movies. by spartan117(m): 5:15pm On Jun 01, 2018 |
bennyann: Yes of course mature christians need to be preached to, however everything must be done in line with God's word. Maybe I was wrong to say that I detest the movie I agree that it has helped to inspire many, however the church has grown in its knowledge of God's word since then and according to that knowledge no form of demonic manipulation ought to be possible on a believer. When you realize from God's word that you are seated with christ in heavenly places far above every principality and power, you stop worrying about demons. [quote author=bennyann post=68085635] You also can't paint the Christian life to be all white just to win others over. Jesus never did that. Reveal the secret evils being indulged in the realistic life and show them the consequences. [\quote] The gospel means 'good news' and there is nothing good about according to you 'revealing secret evil' we are not called to do that. And mind you the Christian life is the victorious life it's "all white!". NOTE: The devil has no right to afflict a christian or a church irrespective of the fact that a sin was committed or not. You must let this sink in! [quote author=bennyann post=68085635] Except you hate the fact God forgives all sins when with a broken spirit and a contrite heart you open the door of your heart for Him to come purify it. Let's leave that to God.[\quote] I wonder how you came to this deduction that I hate the proven fact God forgives [quote author=bennyann post=68085635] What I learnt from the movie is, those who think they've attained the peak of their spiritual lives should humble themselves and take corrections from their juniors in Christ since they (the seniors) can tell if the instructions are from God or not.[\quote] This is a valid lesson from the movie the teaches valuable lessons to both Babes and mature Christians. [quote author=bennyann post=68085635] Pride is really a very great sin and that's what many so called pastors are entangled in. They feel so proud to admit they've sinned so the delude themselves into believing personal asking of forgiveness of sin can save them without confessing it openly. God isn't a respecter of anybody.[\quote] This is another wrong teaching. Here's what the Bible says concerning confessing of sins: Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Mercy is your right as a believer! You don't need any special person to confess to you approach the thrown of grace boldly according to that scripture. We all need to have the epignosis of the scriptures, anything not written in God's word must be disregarded, I grew up believing in this doctrine until the Holy Spirit opened my eyes. However if you are having trouble in your walk of salvation with sin, you may approach a counselor to counsel you, but don't do it in front of Babes who are not yet strong in Christ hence they backslide. Most pastor's openly rebuke others but they do not want God to openly rebuke them. That's Pride and it reeds Selfishness. How did you get that statistic? Are you privy to the personal walk of salvation between pastors and God? If God chooses to rebuke them openly like he did to the prophet balaam when a donkey spoke, it's still up to God to do that and he does it according to his wisdom, it has nothing to do with you. May the peace of the Lord be with you, amen |

missdivineprove:A lot of people watch their films, including unbelievers. Only God knows the number of souls that have been won into His Kingdom through their films. We used to show their films during our village outreach when I was on campus. You may visit their you tube channel and see for yourself. As par what they need to work on, I can't see anything. Probably because of my love for the ministry and you know, love covers multitude of short comings |

spartan117:"He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him." -Ecclesiastes 10:8 That 'hedge' means protective covering; if a Christian sins, he destroys the hedge of God around him, making him vulnerable to satanic attacks. |
Re: Issues On Christian Movies. by bennyann: 7:45pm On Jun 01, 2018 |
spartan117: The gospel means 'good news' and there is nothing good about according to you 'revealing secret evil' we are not called to do that. And mind you the Christian life is the victorious life it's "all white!".All I have to say here is Matt 16:24-26 24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? And about the devil having any right, it depends first on God, then on the person. I'm a believer in the sense that I know all that glitters isn't that of a Christian life here on earth. I have to make a conscious effort to continue my race in Christ daily. So I'll leave it at that
Was joking jor. I was just wondering/guessing what part you detest. I'm sorry about that. This is a valid lesson from the movie the teaches valuable lessons to both Babes and mature Christians. This is another wrong teaching. Here's what the Bible says concerning confessing of sins:I never meant when one has sinned he should confess to the whole world. But if you've sinned against the whole world, you should let them know and ask for forgiveness. E.g. The pastor committed adultery with a woman who no longer lives with her husband. He should have confessed to his wife but he didn't, he should have confessed to the woman's husband when he tried rejoining his wife but the pastor didn't. All that was needed was confession to those involved and asking for their forgiveness, he didn't. That pastor was so stubborn and so adamant. The woman became pregnant for him, he still didn't confess but went on to encourage her into abortion. His wife was restless having revelations of nightmares yet he wasn't moved. The woman died after the abortion and the restlessness of her soul was revealed to the pastor's wife in a violent way yet he said nothing. The man became prayerless and his home was prone to attacks... Ahn ahn Do you know how many people his sin affected? How then can a so called Christian secretly ask God for forgiveness and not confess it to those it affects. That's wickedness and God wouldn't take that as confession. Matt 5:23 gives a reflection of how we should settle things when we have hurt someone and that's by making sure it is settled before you "bring your gifts to the altar". Matt 18:15-17 gave us more insight. If you remember the movie, you would have understood what I meant when I said confess publicly. I can't even remember if he asked God for forgiveness immediately or after God has broken every form of pride he has left. How did you get that statistic? Are you privy to the personal walk of salvation between pastors and God? I beg, put me down. I never told you it had something to do with me. I only said most of them rebuke others openly, so it doesn't make sense if those who do that hide theirs. That wouldn't be fair at all. They're even supposed to apologise to those they've rebuked publicly. Thank God you said according to his wisdom. And I feel good knowing God isn't a respecter of persons. And about the statistics, leave matter for Matthias. As long as there are still churches that rebuke publicly, those who confess their sins especially that of fornication, by making them sit at the back seat, and treating them in a way even new comers can tell they're outcasts, then you can help with the statistics. |
