I swear I remembered the first day my papa dropped me off. There was no money . My mates were coming with cars we came with bike and 2 Ghana must go grin . Na cloth wey I nor go later need and like 1 sack of garri wey dem don package for me full am. The man no even send me he just drop me for gate make I find my square root. Anyways I was very happy because I felt I've finally gotten my freedom and can now do whatever I like without anybody disturbing my life. Nna mehn weeks later when they came for visiting day see as I dey cry make dem carry me back go house.

My boarding school experience was very terrible... I regret going to bording school. I vowed non of my children wld go to a boarding school cos the effect is still on me. My wife won't understand. She seriously wants the children to go to boarding school. She doesn't even want to see any reason with me.

If I begin to tell stories of what I went through in FGC Okposi as a junior student, this will be a very long post.

The second most memorable thing that I experienced was when I received an expected unexpected slap from a senior student.
Yes you read right, it was an expected slap and at the same time very unexpected.
That was the day I truly understood that you can really see stars after being slapped. I was deaf for some moments after that.
Truly unforgettable..

My first most memorable experience was on another level..

But Boarding school was till fun despite all that. grin
..
.boarding school was always the best

I know. I was a swaratic loafer.

Comlag was like my family's preferred school. All of my cousin's, Faith, Victoria and Samuel Ayah, all attended Comlag. My brother, Eky, later went on to become Flying Horse House captain.

Shortyy:

I was a boarder from jss1 to ss1. I became a day student ss1 second term. And in my school you can only flex as a senior when you're in ss3 and also a boarder. I didn't get the opportunity to do that.

You had equal flexing power as your boarder colleagues in SS3. No probs tho. I understand

None of my kids will go close to a boarding school. I almost died there. Lol. That wasn't funny though. Started crying from Day 1 to the end of SS1 when I left the horrible place. My mind was never there and I hated almost everything.

Fell sick every Monday from the poor diet, the unhealthy environment and the floggings. None of my kids will near that place. Hated the place from Day 1 till the last day. From my JSS 3-SS1 I can't recall a month I didn't fall sick at least three times.

Parents should stop taking Kids to boarding houses. It creates barriers and stripes one of powers to train the child how they deem fit. It offers you experiences to work a good life but at that age, deciding for yourself is very difficult.

Always had a unique persona there. Was very quiet some senior boys believed I could poison there water or food if they message me and I loved it. Lol. Never liked it from day 1. Didn't like it after I left. I don't like it now and I'm not sure I will like it.

Dorm is a different place with a different lifestyle entirely. To me, it was all fun. I remembered how I was bullied by my seniors and more especially my hostel master. it was not funny at all. life is very easy. walking around the hostel half unclad and eating junk foods. having bath in a small enclosure with more than 17 students taking their bath. and after which u run to your room naked leaving your dickson dangling like a giggle bell. Really had fun I must confess

If you survived the "second home" in Mayflower school Ikenne, Ogun State. The most rugged hostel you could be at in the school, then you would most likely survive the sambisa forest.

Lol. its was like that to me sha, what saved my ass was my school father. he shielded me from some incessant punishment. then I used to tink if some students ideology of coming to school was just to bully the junior ones. these ppl really dealt with us oo.

Discipline? Lol. There is no discipline there. I was in one of these Force schools and the wickedness was too much to handle. I'm not sure I missed anything when I left. I also did same but they refused but for the day a pastor(is it my dad's friend) came to my dad's store and told them to take me out of that school. I was lucky. Lol. The restrooms left a particular bad odour in my nose that even after I left it took months to expel. No matter how organized a boarding house is, none of my kids will go there.
