Joel Obi is a good player, the problem with him is adaptability. As you may know, the Serie A is a very niche league, it suits certain type of players and Joel has over modified his game for the Serie A that he looks like a fish out of water outside Italy.
I feel 2 weeks might be too short to re-modify his game, it is what it is. If the going was good, he is the kind of player you want coming in from the bench to close oit games, in my opinion.

As for our friendly tomorrow, I wish Eagles can at least disgrace the English team. I will be watching the match with biased ITV or BBC commentary, and I know how they will hype their players.
