ziego: How many miles can you cover in 2years that your vehicle will be unhealthy in that short time? I really do not understand your way of reasoning. 1 Like |

GAZZUZZ: Be like say u no dey this system. I cover over 2500km in 2weeks. Do the calculation and tell me how many km u will cover in 2years(52 × 2500)km = 130,000km. How many kilometres was the car before you bought it? U want me to believe a car of over 200,000 mileage is still active? That's when u will start changing parts every week. FROM RADIATOR TO CONDENSER TO HUB TO BACK AXEL TO SO MANY ISSUES THAT WOULD BE COMING UP. 4 Likes |

ziego: Every car is as good as it's maintenance if properly cared for. 5000km every month is 71,000miles in 2years. Most corrolas I have seen get into the country @ over 200,000miles and are still (in chillex's words) Grade A toks. Are you a car killer? 3 Likes

ziego: Now to the final part of your analysis, there are things Called Preventive maintenance. brake oil, waterpump, transmission oil, radiator coolant, axle oil, timing belts.... These are parts that should be replaced at certain intervals weather or not they seem defective. You should read more sir. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

GAZZUZZ: Of course we do all those maintenance. U can't subject ur car constantly on Nigerian road for 2years and expect it to be healthy. Uncle gazuzu I know u have no experience about driving uber or taxify, ur comments comes from the angle of car owner. I enjoin you to register as driver and drive for a month. U would Gather enough experience to face reality the way we do. Thanks 3 Likes |

Gentlelife50: I had a horrible experience similar to yours. I vowed... Drivers, always be on alert. A lot of riders are thieves, once on a trip, guard your personal belongings. Taxify will tell you O. Y. O. Take it from someone who experienced it first hand. ~E 1 Like |

Hello House, I applaud you guys for wonderful work done, and your truthfulness on this platform. Can someone please advise me on maintenance cost of HYUNDAI ELANTRA 07 or 08 compare to COROLLA 03 or 04 cos i want to start the biz, and considering starting with Elantra because of high cost of corolla now, and my budget. thanks and well done! TheCar: If you like acquire 017/018 vehicles, it doesn't change how much you earn or the commission app providers receive. It can only help secure offline trips "which truth be told" are rarely available this days. It's easier for people to click the request a ride button. It's left for investor to be smart in his choice of asset. Better to use the money for a new model to buy 2-3 older models and live happily ever after. The most a driver can offer you on any new model is 40k. 7 Likes |

ziego:Lol. Gazzuzz drives ooo. The way you maintain your car goes a long way bro. If not why do we have some many old model cars such as Camry pencil light on the road, these are cars manufactured almost 2 decades ago yet very strong and reliable. 1 Like |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Nobody: 11:34am On Jun 02, 2018 |
ziego: The solution to have your car last longer is simple. Do preventive maintenance and don't be stingy. If you buy a brand new car and refused to do preventive maintenance, the car would become Naija Used Dead Car. What you called prestine Grade A tokunbo today was in that condition because the owner maintain the car. Use the right OEM for repairs and recommend oils. Your car would stay in the prestine condition after usage in Nigeria. Reason why people don't usually wanna buy a Naija used car is because we don't have a good maintenance culture. A car manufacturer would recommend 0w-20 API - SM/SN and a Nigerian would be servicing the car with a 20w-50 API - SC/SD because the latter is cheaper. Cultivate a good preventive maintenance and have your car remain in a prestine condition. 2 Likes |

aggos: Carshopper, Dru23 and Gazzuzz are the experts when it comes to Elantra. I don't use Elantra and I believe you should go for it if you're buying 07 and above since you or the driver can drive it on both Uber and Taxify platform. |

hello everyone The e-hailing business has been an opportunity for us to get food on our table, there is honor in true hustling. as much as i agree with the fact that driver's spend longer hours on the road and the car goes in for repairs often, driving on uber and taxify is a high paying job in our economy right now. we have few graduates on the platform who will agree with me that working on some white colar job isn't as satifying as it seems. Driving job is proffession, we all need to see it as such. How many jobs pays 100k monthly in this country? after schooling, going through the Nigerian university system you cant find a decent job with good pay. let's assume you get 100k monthly, 1000 daily for tfare thats 25000. other miscellenous spending 20000. you take about 55k home. thats ,but come to think of it how many jobs pay 100k in this country? See uber & taxify job as an occupation not an option, most drivers get more money than most guys in the office. You need to see this as a real hustle then you will be successful in it. No job is easy, everyone is hustling. drivers need to cut on their excesses, plan on your spending and dont live the lasvish lifestyle, remember its not your car so dont let it get into your head. dont get it twisted im not saying you shouldn't look good or eat well spend according to the material not your size. let's assume you stop driving what other job can you do that will give you such freedom and availability of cash? think about it. you might not able to buy your own car but you can save up to start other businesses, trust me if you get your own car most of you driver's will be lazy to work. see yourself as a proffesional driver, treat the car like yours, treat your clients well like your life depends on it. if you have a car now count yourself lucky, in few weeks getting cars will be scarce. The real problem isnt the car owners or the e hailing business, the problem is from the driver's shallow minded no divergent thinking. the fare is low, but you refuse to leave the platform, why? because you're making money and other options are worst than driving on the platform. try getting a job within a month if you wont run back to driving on uber and taxify.................. THIS IS BUSINESS AND DRIVER'S SHOULD SEE IT AS SUCH. IM OPEN FOR CRITICISMS 3 Likes 2 Shares |
