No guaranty that Naija won't get to Russia and get to the quarterfinals (and further, insha Allah). smiley No guaranty that England won't bottle their first match. undecided

at least am not alone. Joel obi and onazi are disasters
They should be benched throughout the world cup since they can't be removed again from the final list

Better than leaving that poor boy out of the world cup squad for an average Mikel Agu.

Definitely Ogu is a better player cos of his versatility.

He proved today he can play as part of a 3 man back line, enabling Rohr to play a 3-5-2 and this cut off the dominance of d English midfield

Mikel''s time should be up with the super eagles.
Bossman the team doesn't av a replacement yet, the midfield was an eyesore against DR Congo wen he didn't play. if he wasn't on the pitch today, ighalo would av been isolated and the midfielders won't be able to hold the ball, we just can't find anyone that connects the attack and defense together like him. At a point he had to drop deep when joel obi and onazi was nowhere to be found.

England also has a bad team but Nigeria's team is worse than theirs.

I think we should be glad super eagles didn't win this last friendly before the world cup because this is the only kind of performance that can discipline them into performing well when it's needed.

I get afraid when super eagles win a match because it makes them forget they have a next match that's like a lifeline to them.

The Jersey is the only bright thing in this team's future.

joel should be dropped immediately .Iwobi is a good passer of the ball .He should be in starting 11.Ebuehi should start ahead of Shehu .onazi should be replaced with NWAKALI .HE IS HEAVY AND FULL OF WRONG PASSES.The second is not bad .Uzoho gaining confident for the world cup. set piece remains tthe major problem of our defense
forget this Nwakali matter, he wasn't in the list at all

Nice game in the 2nd half.

I expect Joel obi out.
Ola Aina based on his game against Congo
Onazi, he has really not being impressive of late. Ndidi and John Ogu are better replacement.
Meeeeen....Ogu Na beast of a player,i just love the way he covers up for Brian idowu..when he over laps.

he wasn't really getting any supply. D first half was awful

Ighalo is not a skillful striker. He can't create something from half-chance. I mean, that's why he plays in the Chinese league. If he is good, he should be playing in a top league. What do you expect when Nigeria's striker to the world cup play in the Chinese league. I am sure this guy would not make the Eagles of the 90's.

With this second half impressive performance u can be assured what the team need is a little confidence to boost their moral, we respected England too much in the first half
You respected England? Did you also respect Athletico Madrid and Congo? You guys will not pass the group stage.

Please, please and please, can Gernot Rhor drop Ogenyi Onazi?
Balogun is just too soft, why on earth can't he play like he did during Cameroon match?
Ighalo will just be clapping and giving thumbs up, save for the goal created, I don't think I really like him.
Mikel Obi was asleep in the first half but woke up in the second half
Etebo is very good
John Ogu is slow but intelligent
Joel Obi should be dropped
Bryan Idowu has locked up the left fullback position
Tyrone Ebuehi should be the owner of the right back
Alex Iwobi is my man of the match
Victor Moses is over-hyped

I LOVE THE WAY THE NIGERIAN FANS BOOED THAT BASTARD DELE ALLI

All our previous friendlies were better. So are we getting better or worse?

Why were they better? Because we won against Argentina and Poland? This game was better than the Poland and Serbia game in my opinion. And again it's a friendly. The coach is trying different systems with different players. Against Argentina we started with 3 at the back and quickly conceded goals. Today 3 at the back in 2nd half stabilized the team.

You guys need to lower your ecpectations. We are not even favourites to qualify from the group. Encourage the team and hope for the best.

And you think this is a better plan B? Playing ogbu as a defender? Smh for charlatans
dabossman:
Not a bad game. Many will be looking at yhe result but I'm more interested in how players performed. Onazi and Joel Obi didn't cover themselves in glory. Etebo and Ogu did better. Ebuehi also had a good game.

It's also good that Gernot Rohr has a plan B. He switched to a back 3 with John Ogu and Iwobi dropped deeper giving better stability in defence.
