Bros, can I give you more than a TRIPE KPOM

Nna, you need to post more because your analysis is spot on! I don't even need to add anything else because you nailed everything. I kept asking myself what Rohr finds in Ighalo. he kept him there for more than 75 mins when we have Simy Nwankwo on the bench. Personally, I would have changed Ighalo within the first 30 mins.

O pari

KK555:

Omeruo is calm when under pressure while Balogun makes hasty clearances which lands in opponents feet, but Omerou sometimes is guilty of awkward unforced errors. I think he passes the ball better when under pressure.

Simy Nwankwo in my opinion might be Nigeria's joker in Russia. Ighalo is so unpredictable. He is very unstable, panics and does not have the composure characteristic of Nigerian forwards.

Onazi and Joel Obi should not be in that team. Mikel Agu might not be a better replacement but if he can move, position, tackle neatly and pass the ball better, then Onazi should leave the national team. He simply can't move and if he lacks mobility, he should at least keep the ball and utilize it better when he gets it but none of that happened tonight.

Uzoho saved Nigeria tonight coupled with England's wastefulness. They would have scored up to 6 good goals in the first half.

Ighalo in my opinion is not very useful. Simy Nwankwo need to step in and hopefully step up. He can offer Nigeria what Loftus Cheek offered England tonight. Loftus Cheek had the physical presence that intimidated Nigeria in the match. None of the Nigerian players could match him or get the ball off him. I think Nwankwo would give Nigeria what they have been missing. He has the physique and enthusiasm of Yekini, skill and falir of Kanu and the height and strength of Victor Agali and he can move and fast as well.

Nigeria should consider this match a win. The positives to take home would be the wrong report which Croatian and other spies would take home tonight. If Nigeria can compose themselves and survive 60mins of the matches in the world cup without conceding goals, they might come good.

But Onazi and Joel Obi need to leave the camp tonight. If anyone gets injured and Rohr could not get replacements, let them play with 21 men.

My overall assessment for this game is that ww now know our midfield and defence starters. The next game against Czech is where we will determine our starting strike force.
Rohr has played favourite with Ighalo for far too long.

not A bad game. four bad games.

I get am before no be property. Back in the day is not today, after all, once upon a time, Onazi was indispensable in our midfield, but look at him today undecided

He didn't do well but I don't believe the game would have been 1-1 if he saved it.

I agree he needs a bit of polish

Technically, the game would have ended 1; 1 because England didn't score again.

Those blaming uzoho nawa ooh!!!!
The second goal by Kane he scored something similar again courtois in 2014/15 but it’s not his fault Kane is good.
But when our teenage goalkeeper who was one of our best performers is still being criticized for conceding goals world class keepers do?
Check courtois vs Barcelona or totthenham he has concided worse goals.
The boy is truely special.

If Rohr drops Ogu after his wonderful Performance Today, then something else has come into play. The Two Players have made their Selves Available for the imminent Omission from the final List...... and they are; Onazi and Joel.

Ezenwa starts.

You are not Rohr. It will be a mistake if Uzoho is not given the no 1 shirt. He should start in Russia. No matter what happens against Czech, i think he should start against Croatia. If the team is stable, he will shine and stop unbelievable shots. He just need that confidence that comes from knowing your back four and midfield are solid.

Tonight was a case of one onslaught after another. Throughout the 45 mins of the first half, the ball kept coming at him from different angles.

not when it matters please, moses was a flop in 2014, looks like it will happen again in 2018, if am rohr, moses will only be coming in second half of our games, are you aware a babatunde from no where benched moses in 2014? I see another player benching moses again, am tired of the guy abeg. onazi na confime flop, perhaps an ndidi has been covering up for him all this while

don't know if am the only one noticing it, this team tends to start play with lack of confidence when they play european teams or bigger teams, It showed in games against argentina, poland, serbia and england. reason we conceded cheap and early goals. It's a shame with players like mikel, moses and others who play abroad and has faced these big players at club levels.

The Nff should do something about this urgently cos in this game, the same England that looked bigger in the first half look so small in the second half.

Are our players suffering stage fright? this is where croatia and even iceland could edge it. The boys only seem to increase in confidence in the second half and it's scaring

this is thesame thing i was thinking about, people calling onazi, joel..but they forget even almighty mikel was also poor.

i believe what happened was more of mental and psychological. we need to work on it

The first Half was completely off it. It's a Half to forget as quickly as possible cos its an Eyesore from the blast of the Whistle to the last Minute.

Rohr did a good Job in the 2nd Half of the Match. He twisted the Formation to 3 - 5 - 2 - played Omeruo as RCB; Ekong as CB; Ogu as LCB and it worked well defensively.

On the Flanks, Ebuehi proved himself once again that he's the best we've got as either a RB or a RWB. Idowu wasn't fantastic, hence I wouldn't mind seeing Aina play as a LWB or LB against Czech Republic.

In the Middle, I commended Rohr for doing the Needful and it was spot on. Etebo was very influential as a DM, Iwobi was outstanding until the last 15mins of the Match same as Mikel.

Upfront..... Moses is kinda too selfish for liking. I wish to see a better Moses in the next Game. Ighalo was average to be candid, thus I wish Rohr plays Iheanacho in the next Match.

Lest I forget, Uzoho has earned it, he should be the No. 1 Keeper for the Eagles at the Mundial.

#SoarEagles.
#NaijaAllTheWay.

when i pointed out this Moses thing , somany people believe he is our joker ... i keep saying it , he 's far from it cos of the way he holds on to the ball , if we have a better option he will sit on the bench , and come in to play as a sub when opponents are tired .

I repeat Onazi and em brother joel should be dropped they offered nothing , and rohr shouldnt try playing ogu in the left side of three man defence again, it worked today doesnt mean it will work tomorrow, ogu is not a defender he is not that fast.

Ogu , ndidi and mikel is the perfect midfield combo, if rohr dont see this am sorry he is fool then. Iwobi is better in midfield than wings. when playing 3-5-2 iheanacho n iwobi shld play together just like against argies.

But when playing 4-3-3 vic mosses- simy/igalo - musa should play preferable simy so he can connect with the crosses cos ighalo was useless with the crosses sent to him today, though most were wayward.

onazi n joel shld go abeg.

What made you think you could stand up to him if you met him? Calm down mister. The only way to shut people up is to prove them wrong. If someone tells you you aint good enough, show him that you are not just good enough but better. Nigeria has not shown that they are ready to do well in Russia.

Only one man has the passion tonight and that is Iwobi. Others were on their back feet.

Or better still, put him on bench since we are more comfortable in 3-5-2, sub him in in 70/75 minutes to replace Ebuehi

The young man actually saved Nigeria tonight. If a goal keeper keeps you in the match, it shows how consistent the pressures from the opponent were. Uzoho and Iwobi did well. Mikel did better in the second half. Ogu brought some calm. Ebuehi brought in some degree of unpredictability. His runs distabilised the English.

If your midfield is consistently porous, it,ll only be a matter of time before the ball lands in the net no matter how good your keeper is. Uzoho did well and should be the no 1 goalie.

OGa this is football. If you cant hold your goalkeeper accountable for letting in a cheap goal under his arm, then we might as well give everyone on the team a free pass including Onazi.
Why do you think the goalkeeping spot is the most sensitive in the team hence, the call for an experienced head to "man" the post. A goalkeeper can make 20 good saves but one error can undo the good he did all game, especially if it costs his team vital points.

I agree with you, Mujta. Genort Rohr is a good coach but he's just too rigid for my liking. If I were in his shoes, I would have made, at a minimum, 4 subs within the first 30 mins. And by the way, if I were in his shoes, I would've started Simy Nwankwo and Ebuehi, as I discussed after the line up came out.

Anyway, let's hope that he has learned one or two things, from this game and the Argentine game as well.

O pari

Mujtahida:

What is killing our coach is not this so called average team bullshyte some trogs are crying up and down here. The coach is damn too conservative. He only tries new things when the situation is gone awry. He did it against Argentina, he was saved. Today again same thing.

That players that played first half were basically chosen in accordance with the-you never - change - a - winning-team mantra. Winning team bawo?. I say the times have changed. This is not the age for mantras. This is not the age for formulas. You have to think and rethink your strategy.

Even with these set of players if the coach is a bit radical we can hurt teams and win games.

Average players like Ogu, Ndidi, even Etebo bring more to the team than Joel, so even among average players, Joel simply does not cut it

I can not defend Joel Obi anymore. The Joel Obi of Torino is much better than what we are seeing now.
However, he needs to be dropped. No more excuses. He can't bring his club form to the NT, then there is no point. Dude doesn't even drive pass players, nothing. Did someone tell him he has to be hyper aggressive without doing anything on the ball??
Onazi is washed. I never ever want to see that guy start a game till he loses at least 10 kilos.
3-5-2 might be the way to go against croatia. I swear Croatia would've murdered us if we played like we did first half.
Someone needs to talk to Vic Moses.
