Would you have said so if it was Ezenwa? I remember he saved something of this sort against Cameroon @ uyo

I've learnt not to criticise keepers again having watched supposedly good keepers let in cheap goals. Uzoho, Ezenwa or Akpeyi are all the same. Where this one make a mistake the other one might not have made it. And sometimes a keeper is as good as his defenders

It's not by power or by might.

I remembered when Mujtahida and I were crucified here when we were defending Ebuehi in that game against Serbia...sir Kog45 was ready to finish the guy then..I hope you guys have seen it now..

When I see talent, I know right away..Ebuehi would give us a better chance with that RB position..

If we're being expected to cease supporting our team. Then which team do we support as Nigerians? France? This team as far as I'm concerned is a good team but still very raw- A number of them are not far from execrable particularly in the midfield. With a certain over hype midfielder among them. They have no business in the team; And that's exactly the issue. Who ever believed we could play so well in the second half?

One thing Rohr should realize by now is Its a matter of separating the wit from the chaff among the players. Especially the midfield. The midfield is yelling of creativity, which we saw a glimpse of in the second half. Ball playing midfielders with creativity.

My formation for the Czech Rep friendly and the WC would be:

————————-Uzoho——————-

————Omeruo——Ekong—-Idowu———-

—-Ebuehi——-Ogu——Mikel—-Ndidi—-—

——————-Iwobi———V.Moses—————

————————-Ighalo——————

Can we try Simy as the starting CF for once?

Ighalo's goal ratio for Nigeria is getting suspect.

when i pointed out this Moses thing , somany people believe he is our joker ... i keep saying it , he 's far from it cos of the way he holds on to the ball , if we have a better option he will sit on the bench , and come in to play as a sub when opponents are tired .

if holding the ball too long is your problem with moses them you should have problem with mikel too

Yea, no one is doubting their midfield. They are good but not that they got free pass during WCQ. Football is not won by midfield, it is 11 vs 11 not 3

This game could have ended 1:1 if not for Uzoho's error. This is why you need a top goalie, they usually make the difference.

And which other goalie on that team would have made the amount of saves he made today...that guy saved us from conceding too much goals..it could have easily been 4-0..

I think the tactics didn't work for us well in the first half...plus Onazi was piss poor..

OGa this is football. If you cant hold your goalkeeper accountable for letting in a cheap goal under his arm, then we might as well give everyone on the team a free pass including Onazi.
Why do you think the goalkeeping spot is the most sensitive in the team hence, the call for an experienced head to "man" the post. A goalkeeper can make 20 good saves but one error can undo the good he did all game, especially if it costs his team vital points.
My brother the midfield was very poor in the first-half.Poor DM and CM.

Onazi shouldn't be starting games.I expected Joel to show his quality in this match but he failed.

Both Onazi and Joel made Mikel poor in the first-half.They subjected our defence to so much pressure, but Uzoho was calm, made saves and commanded his area well.

Uzoho was very very good today.

At a time a guy at my back was like this keeper na Dea Gea ooo.

Stop criticising the young man.You want us to bring back Enyeama and repeat the same mistake we made with Rufai.

An Enyeama that now keeps for the U21's.Do you think he will still have that zeal players are known for?

At least Uzoho can keep with hope that a top club can sign him.Can such be said of Enyeama.

The Uzoho I saw today is ready for the WC and deserves the Eagles no 1 Jersey.

Having Kept against Argentina,Poland and England,he is ready for the big stage.
Uzoho will never be as poor as Marius was in UCL finals.

I love Omeruo, he showed today that he is miles ahead of Awaziem, but he should remain a back-up to the Oyibo wall.

Who and who still dey see Shehu as first choice?

Ebuehi proved again that he is too good for the bench and deserves to be first-choice RB.

Iwobi oo,without him their is no Russia for Eagles.Who and who will still start Simon ahead of him?

Vic.Mo and selfish football, this is the same reason he was subbed against Iran and only returned to starting line-up due to injury to Babatunde. We just need one more winger or even Lokosa if vic.Mo fails to play the "one-touch two go football" we played against Argentina.Vic.Mo should learn to pass the ball and stop being selfish.A man at my left said "Moses just dey play like this because nobody fit bench am".

Kudos to the boys they played well .

Ogu and Etebo is going to Russia.

I just don't like the excuses being given when we know some other keepers would have gotten a shovel for the same

Ebuehi has better time space interpretation of football but actually he should add some grit to his game and he would be very solid.

Big teams Will struggle against us if we play 3 at the back and 2 wing backs
hmmm... Food for thought.

Here is my proposition. 3-5-2

Uzoho

Ekong-Balogun-Omuero

Ebuehi-Ndidi-Iwobi-Mikel Idowu

Ighalo(Kelechi, Simmy, Musa)-V. Moses

*Iwobi plays behind the top 2. While Ndidi plays the DMF, Mikel the CMF(he can easily inter change with Iwobi Depending on the flow of the game.

Now we know the two players that will be dropped will not be Ogu or Etebo in midfield. Ogu has played as a CB in training so o wasn’t surprised. Joel Obi or Onazi should be axed.
Of course the other is a no brainer. Rohr will not pick Aina over Echiejile. Now u know

I wish Rohr played echiejile in this game, you would have seen how much the guy has deteriorated...he won't be able to keep up with the pace of the game..

Sometimes he loses sight of the fact that he's playing for a team, not dribble and score in one 5-a-side game in Agbowo.
That aside, he has the capability to be our main game changer.
