BERLIN — NATO’s secretary-general says the alliance wouldn’t come to Israel’s defense in case of attack by arch enemy Iran.

Jens Stoltenberg told the magazine Der Spiegel in comments published Saturday that Israel is a partner, but not a member and that NATO’s “security guarantee” doesn’t apply to Israel. Stoltenberg says NATO isn’t involved in Mideast peace efforts or in conflicts in the region.

He spoke at a time of rising Israel-Iran tensions. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently intensified his criticism of a 2015 agreement between world powers and Iran that offered Tehran sanctions relief for curbs on its nuclear program.

The U.S. withdrew from the deal last month. Israel and Iran have also clashed militarily over Iran’s military presence in Syria.

This isn't about USA or NATO's support for Israel. Israel is standing today because she has shown the world she is indispensable, can do it her way and has paid a high price to have a peace in what is the present day Israel.

Read through history, she has fought several wars and has proven herself. Noteworthy in the list of these wars is the October War. It's an interesting read and Aljazeera has a 3 part video on it.

In the days of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as Iranian President, Russia was to sell the S 300 missile defense system to Iran to disgrace the then Obama administration.
Benjamin Netanyahu would only visit Russia and the deal never saw the light of day.

Isreal is the third most nuclear armed country after US. They don't make noise about it.

Was it not Iran that Mossad stole over 100k pieces of their most classified documents. If Iran can't defend their most classified documents, then how do they intend to protect their territory?

Isreal bombed Syria and destroyed Iranian military installations, Syria responded by bombing Golan Height, Syrian territory under Isreali occupation. They should have bombed Isreali land nah if they get balls.
