Rohr also said that Joel Obi is unfit and that some players were 'heavy'.. ( maybe Onazi?)

Onazi is totally out of shape. I was attacked for saying this some time ago but I have never seen a footballer with "spare tire" at the back of his neck. The guy is not serious.

sadly Rohr has dropped Agu and Aina for Joel and Echiejule. Now all hope is lost. I won't be surprised if he still starts Onazi and Joel in games. I watched the post match briefings and he was making excuses for Joel.

The babalowo that did that jazz for Joel is very potent and highly lethal
he wants Joel to jell into the team by fire by force, and he must jell by fire by force

I'm not a shehu advocate, his a good player but not a right back, we can't have a world-class right back in ebuehi and start him.

Ebuehi reminds of Bale when he plays in the left back position, Ebuehi is GOLD

Fact is that Ebuehi appears more comfortable playing in a 3-5-2 formation as the wing back than the conservative flat back 4. I think this could the reason why Shehu still starts ahead of him.

Ighalo must be a Celestial Church of Christ member,, he claps on the pitch more than he performs the role of a target man.. how can a number nine who is supposed to be ruthless be clapping upandan every time rather than concentrate on doing his number one duty.. that guy is just a former of activity.. right from his days at age grade competitions.. it is only the law of average that's working for him,, that's why he's got the little goals he's scored for us.. You can't give any other striker that much playing time and they wouldn't score up to and way more than his goals.. Ighalo no just suppose be our number one number nine,, even Uzoho would score four goals with that much playing time as a striker.. na to just de clap clap clap clap and be forming encouragement for team mates.. he's too not good..

the less said about Onazi the better.. he plays like someone drunk and directionless.. what is Onazis strong point sef?? tackles?? ball retention?? short passes?? long ones?? the only thing he thinks he's good at is his Chibuzor Okonkwo's-esque long shots where twenty will go astray and two will be on target.. Tueh!

can't we have a 3-5-2 with Ebuehi (rwf) Ndidi (b2b) Mikel (advanced) Ogu (sits deep) Moses (lwf) and Iwobi (ss) with Iheanacho (cf) leading the line?? let them put ball on the ground,, interchange passes,, cut back crosses and at least do without deadwoods like the Onazis and Ighalos of the team??

Please, when you are quoting someone, you one yourself the responsibility of talking about the points the person stands on. I am not "you guys" and I have always advocated playing players to the best of their attributes. Finishing is a big part of Nacho's game and I have pointed out he is the most lethal finisher we have. Until we have another who can do that, he remains my Tip to lead our front line. What you are writing up there has nothing to do with my opinion.

My point is so simple that I wonder why it is taking people ages to comprehend it. We should play a system that will create chances for Iheanacho to finish. If we create multiple good chances for him, we will be so devastating to even top teams.

Gerrit?

because na iheanacho get the team, i love iheanacho but your sentiment to him is annoying, making case and excuse for him but you won't do that for other strikers

Nawa!!!!

Onazi and Joel Obi have got some powerful Godfathers in the NFF shocked

Yes, I’m not surprised that Mikel Agu was dropped. But dropping Aina for Echiejile makes absolutely no sense because the former is way more versatile than the latter.

He implied that Shehu's performance might have been affected by his ramadan fasting. He said that Shehu and Musa eat at around 5am, then fast till they break the fast later in the night.

yes i heard that...there he believe shehu will do alot better when his not fasting

I will support Nigeria henceforth.

Simi Nwankwo will be Nigeria's joker in the world cup. I believe he will do well for the team. Onazi killed Nigeria yesterday. I have watched that match again. Shehu was not very composed but i think he should start again for Nigeria. Nigeria should keep possession like they have always done during the African qualifying. Keep the passes short if possible, most of the long passes were intercepted. Onazi is strong but very poor concentration in yesterday's match cost Nigeria a lot. He was not moving or positioning himself well. His awkward and poor passes resulted in the free kick which Uzoho parried to corner, the resultant corner kick was badly defended by Ekong and Mikel gifting Cahill the liberty to nod home.

I pray Ndidi recovers soon enough. Overall it was not a bad game for Nigeria. It would have been very disastrous in the first half. Etebo did well linking up the midfield with his tackles, runs and short beautiful passes. They need to work on their shooting as well. Coordination, cohesion, communication especially in the midfield are vital. They were lacking in the first half.

I think Nigeria will surprise the world.

The short passes destabilized the English they couldn't cope with it. They should work more on that too

Out of the 21 matches he played, how many did he start? He was mostly a sub to see out games. In other words, most of Onazi's games last season were cameo appearances.

Next time argue what u know

onazi started 17 games, he was injured, he miss Algeria and Argentina match because of it too.

dropping aina for elchiejile is not commendable at all. Aina will definitely have his chance, he is still young with a lot of promise.

I want to see Iwobi in AM again. He was fantastic yesterday. He practically seems to stake a strong claim on that position.

I'd like something like this next game:

.............,.....Uzoho

.......Omeruo. Ekong. Balogun

Ebuehi Ndidi Ogu Moses/Idowu

..............Mikel.. Iwobi

..................Ighalo/Simy

It was football malpractice by Rohr to start Moses last night after just one training session with the team. Musa should have started while Moses came in to see out the game in the last 15-20 mins. That is how professionals work.

So una eye dun dey open abi, I have always maintained that Azubuike Okechukwu is a better player than those pretenders but tbaba1234 and Icon4s were against me for saying that. Im just Happy u guys are now seeing what Michael and I saw ages ago.

Azubuike made our midfield thick at the Olympics and he has been the best midfielder amongst our midfield contingents that ply their trade in the Turkish league.

Agu and Onazi are bench warmers in this same league, yet they are always picked ahead of Azu Okey by Rohr. For reasons best known to him, he also prefers those two to Esiti and Agbo. Just smh bkus Rohr is gradually losing my confidence KPOM

And what has Azubuike got to do with this now?

This is senior football abeg. Even Etebo that was the hit man of that class is also struggling in this team.

I do rooted for Shehu but just too glaring Ebuehi is better though Aina is out but possibly Aina is even better than Shehu at RB.

On fasting that shouldn't be an excuse.Talking about tactical awareness of the game,Ebuehi is my guy for RB/RWB.
since we now know that shehu is slow off the blocks it is imperative we play ebuehi against perisic.. anyone who has watched perisic knows he is quite fast from that left wing
