GK Trainer should start drilling Uzoho 24hrs per Day. He's gonna be the Team's No. 1, and I want him to be fully ready for the Mundial.

from the little i have seen in his game, he possess rare qualities which are lacking in the teams striking department. he is big, can hold the ball very well if deployed as a lone striker,he is a big threat arrealy and physical as well

simeon nwankwo is the only player that gate crashed into the final 23 man list in a conservative rohr squad.. it shows that there is probably something about him

Mickael2:

I am going to guess you haven't played much football in your life so I will explain.

As an AMF you are a striker yet you are a midfielder. AMF is quite different from SS and rightly so. When you are playing as the AMF you need to defend when the team is defending and still be the first one to move the attack, that requires a huge amount of energy. When Mikel was playing the DMF position during the AFCON in 2013 he was hardly ever subbed, recently in all the games he has played as an AMF he always gasses out, that should tell you how tasking that role is for him and without proper rest his effectiveness will diminish.

Playing a standing four in a double pivot does not require much energy and that's why he can still perform there till now. The coach however needs to decide if he will be the standing DMF or the roaming DMF because I totally so not believe that Ndidi can be the standing DMF ever.

For the record I have always told everybody that Etebo is good, always has been. And I have always said that Onazi is past his prime, I have always said that. so next time before you make that kinda reference, please check the moniker well

This bold part will make anyone wonder if you have any atom of knowlegde of football.

mikel was doing the unnecessary, chasing down the keeper and central defenders...that was ighalo duty.

I dont care how you lot see this but Rohr's over conservatism and rigidness might cost us a fortune at the long run.

No matter how u guys paint it, he goofed with the judgement of Aina's position in the team. Why not give the boy as much chances in the RB which is his main position, he instead preferred a make shift in Shehu.

Aina should have been giving as much opportunity to see if he could replicate his Hull showings on the RB position, he should have been the one fighting it out with Ebuehi while Shehu fights for his place in the midfield with Agu, Agbo, Onazi and Joel.

If Ebuehi and Shehu had played on the left side, would they have done better than Aina did? If Rohr was honest with his judgement and wants to accommodate Shehu, the either of Onazi and Joel would have joined Agu so that Shehu shifts to the middle while Aina slogs it out with Ebuehi.

As bad as Joel and Onazi are they are headed for Russia ahead of Aina, Agbo, Azu and Esiti yet someone wanna make me believe Rohr is an honest man? Smh

I'm not pro innit boys but Aina was treated unfairly

Why is rohr fielding horrible players. So it means that of all the players playing for Nigeria both at home and abroad, this is the best rohr can come up with.
1 Goal drought ighalo
2 Brainless Musa
3 Pregnant Onazi
4 Clueless Joel
5 Retired Elderson
6 Weak Balogun
With this mediocre team i don't expect them qualifying the group stage.

He believes that it's a must to carry all the players that qualified us to the world cup.. Smh.... I fear for this team.. But surprises can still happen. I have less hope on them

Out of over 36 games, he started a paltry 17 which isn't up to half of the total games and you are so proud, on a low Trabz of Turkey? Even the few he started, was he able to play up to 60 minutes before getting yanked off?

oga onazi was injured, how many games did leon balogun play, how many games did nacho start this season.

do we use the same criteria to judge all players or some player have immunity??

Unlike some people, football is serious to me and the last thing I do is to analyze football sentimentally. It will not benefit the team on any way. That is why I frown upon coaches making sentimental selection.

When I said Kelechi Nwakali should camp with the Senior team and understudy Mikel, some people felt I said it for sentimental reasons. Against Atletico Madrid, many could see the massive potential the boy has. I pointed out Guardiola was a fantastic coach and some said it was because of sentimental reasons. Today, many agree he is good.

I do not call because of sentimental reasons but after careful knowledge. Hating or not wanting Nacho because you find my stance on his inclusion annoying makes you the sentimental one. Not me.

I was one mocked on threads of Nairaland for supporting Mikel's inclusion in the National team. Many thought it was sentimental. Today many agree is true. If it comes to defend another striker and I feel he is wrongly spoken about, I will.

me i want nacho in the team and i believe he will play a big role in Russia

Nigeria forget so soon....yesterday game change was not just because of the player change but bcause of formation change.

the same Etebo that replaced him was called all manner of name but now his the savior

Fact is that Ebuehi appears more comfortable playing in a 3-5-2 formation as the wing back than the conservative flat back 4. I think this could the reason why Shehu still starts ahead of him.

his better in both

omeruo had offers in laliga where he was proposed to move on loan bases but the laliga clubs werent ready to pay him over 600,000 euros for the loan durations which he demanded. Chelsea's stance is for the interested teams to agree the loan fee with them after which they can go ahead to discuss personal terms with the player and his agents
andrew444:

I am not sure omeruo got offer from laliga team,it's not about the money Chelsea is the team paying omeruo his salary,if omeruo got offer from laliga I think he will jump to it,he has already played 3 season loan at turkey so what's there ?

As for onazi he was a regular at lazio thou not all match but onazi can get 25 seria a games a season,he even scored some crucial goals, about 3 seasons back he qualified them for the champions league playoff where they came 4th in the league,he scored a late goal against Milan, onazi would easily get an Epl club then or another seria A,take a look at Joel an injury prone player from his inter Milan days but he didn't lack offers in seria A

Ogu brought balance to the back 3 playing the left CB lasy night, going forward, this should be his position.
I don't know, but it appears Rohr have programmed the minds of Nigerians not to be daring when analyzing this team. Shehu was about the best player in Cyprus playing as a Dm and that form continued in Turkey but somehow, people dont want him tried in that position even when you have a fumbling Joel and a the fat guy. I dont get it.
I think you are right, he even confined Agu to the bench

It is not sentimental in any way but a simple fact obvious to any who watched the game. We did not deliver any accurate pass to Nacho that day. Not one despite him making repeated well timed runs. How that can go as sentimental baffles me. It is just that people do not like the truth.

How the Super Eagles should line up against Czech Rep..A 4-1-3-1-1 formation.

---------------------------------Uzoho-----------------------------------

--Musa(RB)-Ighalo(CB)----Iwobi(CB)-Moses(LB)----

------------------------------Ndidi(DM)--------------------------------

----Ebuehi(RW)-------Mikel(CM)--------Idowu(LW)------

------------------------------Ekong(SS)------------------------------

-------------------------Balogun(CF)-------------------------------

Saw this formation as a vision and am convinced they can pull surprises.

What happened to aina was fucking unfair. That boy would have been really needed in our squad

Na ebuehi and aina suppose they drag that position afterall shehu na dm and shehu slow and his positioning is quite poor

Yes, I’m not surprised that Mikel Agu was dropped. But dropping Aina for Echiejile makes absolutely no sense because the former is way more versatile than the latter.

Most people criticize them not because they didn't win the match but poor performance displayed by them. We wanted to see better performance than the previous matches. We wanted to see how they are ready for the tournament .. I doubt if Iceland and Germany you are talking about that they lost their matches will display awful performance like the way we did.

Xabi Alonso was a midfielder and not a defender. When you say in defence like Alonso, the defender Alonso I know is Mark Alonso in Chelsea. Your bad.

Super Eagles should be reset after the World Cup. In the GK Department, Dele Ajiboye should replace Daniel Akpeyi in the Team immediately after the Mundial.

I hope to see Tyrone and Musa Muhammad jostling for the RB, while Shehu is moved to his preferred Position - DM. Echiejile should be retired to pave way for Aina and Idowu vying for the LB Position.

In the Midfield, Onazi and Ogu should be replaced with Nwakali Brothers, Ajagun should be invited also to fight for a Spot in the Team. Finally Iwobi should be classed and played as an AM for the Team.

Upfront....... Kayode should be brought back to replace Ighalo in the Squad. Simmy should be retained.

I want to see Iwobi in AM again. He was fantastic yesterday. He practically seems to stake a strong claim on that position.

I'd like something like this next game:

Ebuehi Ndidi Ogu Moses/Idowu

..............Mikel.. Iwobi

..................Ighalo/Simy

.........................Uzoho

.........Omeruo Ekong. Balogun

Ebuehi. Ndidi. Ogu Idowu/Moses

...................Mikel

.............Iwobi. Ighalo/Simy

iwobi didnt play AM yesterday, he was on the right and always drifted inside, he did that more when Ebuehi came in because Ebuehi was occupying the right side...some shehu was not able to do

Keep in mind, Rohr was in camp with Aina and Shehu was pulling off repeated good performances, earning a man of the match on one.

If Rohr preferred both Ebuehi and Shehu for his RB role, the only opportunity left for Aina was to slug it out in the LB role. I doubt Rohr was being unfair to the young Nigerian star.
