Maybe 4-2-4

If you watched Bra vs Croatia today, you would know its 4 4 2 that's more suitable. A formidable midfield is what we need.

Echiejile over Aina? Chaiii..
Other national team coaches gave explanation why some certain players were dropped. The Nigeria head coach should tell Nigerians why the likes of Aina was dropped and why Onazi and Joel Obi made the list.
its simple echiejile has been there all thru the qualifier but aina yes a revelation but he has more time eg nations cup. So the coah stick wit him

Abi monkey go work baboo come dey chop?

The problem is every Nigerian thinks he knows about football more than the coach

Some people commenting have not even followed this team for 12 months. They watch 1 or 2 matches and try to select the squad for the coach

Ola Aina was not training hard and he was not fit. the reason he gave away a penalty is because he was not fit enough to outrun the Congolese player so he decided to wrestle him. Ola Aina was given chances against Algeria, Argentina, Serbia, Congo DR and in none of these matches did he light up the world. Did anyone see what Ebuehi did against England? That's how you make a statement to the coach and Ebuehi did the same against Argentina in the second half in Krasnodar.

Onazi is still a good midfielder. he played well in the qualifiers. He has had some poor games lately but he is still a good midfielder. I am not surprised he made the 23.

Joel Obi is the one I thought they will drop. I guess because he plays for Torino they have ranked him higher than Mikel Agu. I am sure after this world cup Joel Obi and Mikel Agu can forget the Super Eagles because the Nwakali brothers will come on board.

The coach had a plan that only players playing regularly and doing well in their clubs will be invited. My regret is that there may have been too much focus on Europe because Ebube Duru or Ikouwem Utin could have added value at the left back position because they are natural lefty.

That said I think Gernot Rohr has done a good job because no list of 23 Super Eagles players can satisfy everyone. We have so many players to choose from.

For the group games we should play 3-5-2 against Croatia and Argentina and then 4-2-3-1 against Iceland

Mehn..

Dropping Ola Aina is very bad for us..

How do we want to woo foreign players in future?
We have about 5 foreign players so no shaking.

My only concern is how Joel Obi made the list

Aunty Observation!!!!!!!!! Eng vs Nig
Ogeyi onazi lacks confidence, Joel Obi wants to impress everybody/coach&fans, Mikel Obi wants to score at all costs, Moses looks stress up after long season, Balogun still recovering, idowu- cautious not to make mistake,Ekong- not calculative,Alex Iwobi - our new 10., Etebo alwaz footballjoogler, nice player.......

What kind of formation will accommodate these players when you have 4 forwards and just 2 mid-fielders?

take it or leave it, Joel should be dropped but not for Mikel agu. shehu has been good when playing against African countries but loses confidence against international countries if u recall our match against Argentina, against England, he was all out of position when on the defensive .he's either at the central defense or the midfield to the extent troost and Balogun had to leave their positions thereby opening up the defense. but as soon as Tyrone comes in, the defence gains composure.as far as I'm concerned Joel has never been impressive since his return and if not coz of the list submitted to FIFA already should be replaced by nwakali.o Onazi has had less playing time for his club but picked due to his World Cup experience. Agu can never be picked over onazi and Joel obi.aina will only enter the squad based on sentiment coz he's has never been better than idowu nor has elderson's experience. ndidi should play 4 and Mikel, iwobi/etebo should be infront. or pairing ndidi and ogu(no one seems to talk bout the clean technical passes he dishes from defense to the midfield(something Joel failed to do in the midfield) the Mikel upfront. ighalo a good attacking option should work on his positioning skills as he mostly depends on speed, dribbles and strength, or wingers should probably be Moses and iwobi.musa has always been better as a sub but I believe he's pace will determine our progress in the tournament. rohr has been a good Technical adviser

I only prefer that Nigeria has a Nigerian coach! As long as I've been watching the world cup - decades! - I still haven't seen any national team win the world cup with a foreign coach before. But I will check this wiki list sha, maybe I missed something. undecided

Love that guy!

So the current goalkeeper is only 19 years old! shocked shocked shocked That's amazing. He's gotta be the youngest ever at the World Cup. cool Let's support him. smiley
