komekn:Being FB doesn't mean you have automatic shirt, you have to fight and prove you deserve a shirt. Echiejile played almost all WC qualifiers, dropping him will be injustice. Aina had his chance against Argentina and DR Congo but failed to prove he deserves a shirt with the Eagle. Against Argentina, one of the goals came through his wings.Against DR Congo, his tackle caused the equalizer. Don't forget Aina was brought to the team for the LB position, as Ebuehi and Shehu has taken the right. Talking about playing Aina in RB is not possible because Shehu must go to WC and Ebuehi is better defensively ,recovers fast and has good positioning off the ball. Aina should wait, his time will come. 1 Like 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe:When fullbacks attack, it is normal for DMs to cover for them. It is not a matter of leaving your role, it's a matter of covering gaps. As a matter of fact, some Nigerian coaches mistake this to mean that these players can play as fullbacks. We've seen keshi deploy onazi as a RB before and even Rorh used Ndidi as RB against Zambia. In a three man defense, when a wing back attacks, it is the role of the RCB and LCB to cover for them that is why you would always see azpilicueta temporarily take up the RB position when Moses attacks, but when it comes to the flat four back line, DMs conveniently do this. What guardiola did this season was to reverse this system and have fullbacks slot in as DMs when the DMs attack. 1 Like |

Onazi failed as a vice captain not even as a DM, same applies to mikel. In DM department it a duty for someone should stay back and intercept the ball(onazi should have done that but he was also running helter skelter that was the reason why there was space for the likes of Lingaard to run around). why the second DM chase down attackers(which joel obi did). The team need to focus and communicate while on the field of play, lack of communication affected both DM and caused player hit themselves which could have caused head injury. Case close on onazi matter he has apologize since yesterday let get over it and pray they learn. |

TheGoodJoe: Good but you need a stubborn CF who can shield the ball easily nacho can't do that but moses can, you can't take the likes of ighalo and simy to world up and expect them to be bench their a threat even without touching the ball I don't think rohr has time for experiment again he would go with 70% of is starting 11 tomorrow and formation |

komekn: is it that you choose to lie or you forget easily, Aina started Algeria and Argentina match which he flopped, and which condition are you talking about, is his condition worst than ebuehi that played with injury My only advise for Aina is for him to sit at home and watch Ebuehi very well in the worldcup, I'm sure he will learn alot. |

OMANBALA1: your performance when you are the substitute we earn you the starting spot. Agu was dropped for a poor game and you are praising him, i remember Rohr visiting super sport studio and he wad questioned about bringing Agu on when he had better players like Ogu. Although Rohr response was that Agu was one of the best in training. me and you know that is not enough |

Comprehensive analysis part 1 ................... After watching our England friendly again yesterday, here is my comprehensive reports of the match and players assessment First of the block is our 4-3-3 formation which Rohr played in the first half. It wasn't a flat 4-3-3 rather it was a 4-2-1-3 where Onazi and Joel Obi were meant to shield the defence immediately while Mikel was to sit back behind our 3 attackers. Ordinarily this setup should work if each man played his part well but unfortunately Onazi and Joel obi didn't and the whole team ended up paying for it. Onazi in particular was terribly piss-poor in that match that it seems it was a deliberate attempt to by him to disorganize our play. Damn, Onazi couldn't stay in his position, he couldn't mark, he couldn't pass, he couldn't hold on to the ball, he was everywhere but no where in particular. Several times he was caught out of position, and when we struggle to win back the ball and pass to him, Onazi will gladly gift the ball back to the English. The only time he made a successful pass was when he hurriedly returned a pass back to Joel Obi who initially passed to him because he was under pressure with 3 markers on him, but what did Onazi do?.. He passed back to Joel who was already choked obviously the ball was stolen. Onazi kept on leaving gaps after gaps for the English to exploit, he would rather do another person's job than do his. Several times Idowu and Joel will have their man marked only for Onazi to run in from nowhere claiming he wants to mark too. Mikel will go forward to press, and you will see Onazi chasing him Now we won't be talking about this issue if he was winning these balls, no! Because while he is running, Before he gets to assist his colleagues and inorder to double team the opponent,.. Fiam!... The opponent has passed the ball straight to the same spot where Onazi is coming from, leaving behind acres of space and time for a damage to be done. Again and again this repeated sloppy play was what Onazi kept on doing. It was terrible and an eyesore to watch. I wonder how he is going to remedy such shambolic display. He should be forced to remain in front of the two center backs please. As for Joel Obi, that one was another error going forward. They were several times he sent balls forward which didn't connect with our Frontline. He always kick the ball so waywardly without end product. In middle and defense, it was a battle between him and Onazi on who will get more in each other's way. He was busy playing what we call "anywhere belle face" football. Both on the ball and off the ball. He had no business clashing with Balogun because he should have seen that the ball was Balogun's to clear from miles away, he actually made us a laughing stock with that head clash. If Onazi or idowu or Moses had the ball, instead of opening for a pass, he will rather bump into them. Likewise Onazi, instead of opening for a pass, he will go and bump or intercept the player with the ball. Honestly, Rohr should have dropped one of the two. Henceforth, i will suggest that if Rohr will play a 4-3-3 then it should be a flat one and should not be a 4-2-1-3 triangle anymore because with the triangle, plenty spaces will be left behind our CM and DM. Let it be a trio of Onazi - - Mikel - - Joel instead of Onazi - - - - - Joel \ / Mikel The flat 3 man middle will be better than a triangle 3 man middle. But honestly, 3-5-2 formation should be our main formation going into this world Cup. We succeeded in qualifiers against African oppositions using 4-3-3 but it seems 4-3-3 isn't working anymore against the rest of the world. Football is dynamic, if we are well suited with 3-5-2 against world oppositions then by all means that is what we should be perfecting now. Most matches are won from the midfield, whoever controls the middle dictates how the match will go, and whoever dictates how the match will go will most likely (around 80% of the time) determines who wins the game. Let Rohr stop the experiments and focus on our midfield play and 3-5-2 formation perfection because as it is we don't have any problems with our Goalkeeping, Defense and attack. Our problem now is the our midfield... I repeat!.. We have a big problem in that midfield of ours. Presently the midfield doesn't link up and provide supply for our strikers, the midfield doesn't provide cover for our defenders.. The midfield is presently not doing its job and Rohr is supposed to focus there. The middle is responsible for our uncoordinated play for so many matches now. Onazi and Joel should be made to sit on the bench with their seat belt fastened!! Let Ogu, Etebo, and Ndidi pair mikel there henceforth.. Enough is Enough This experimentation with Joel Obi or Onazi must stop, it has to stop!! 11 Likes 2 Shares |

I won't actually because you asking this only shows your ignorance about some of our players. It is funny seeing someone who claims to support the Super Eagles ask such a funny question. Lol... P.S: Off the top of my head, I easily recall five of his goals from outside the box right from his days at Man City till now for both club and country. This is why I find your question funny and pretty ignorant. Like you have not been following Nacho at all. Martz101: 1 Like |

Martz101:was it not same mikel that have been tipping in the English team to win the world cup... mikel really suffering from inferiority complex...still remember his reaction after he was elbowed by Giroud against France...something that would have Fetch the French man a card...he took it for fun. mikel is not an aggressive captain. iwobi reaction that day...made me think twice...same player who has an affinity with England....could mean business when both teams played each other..... that's the kind of player you need walk through tight rope 4 Likes |

I know Ogu has played more games in the national team than Iheanacho.....he also has more long range shots than him....even more goals from such shots than him....Ogu is the undisputed king of 20,25 yarders in the current super eagles,,,argue with Clarence Seerdof |

The bolded is not even close to the truth. Is it because this is about Nacho again? Have you suddenly forgotten Ndidi is also a master at such hits but still falls short of Nacho's hitting techniques from range? Lol... This is really funny. Things I read on here sometimes really makes one wonder if some actually follow our players. gamaliel9: |

Also, Ogu has just one long range strike that resulted in a goal for the Super Eagles. It came against Algeria. Nacho also has one of such from outside the box and it came against Tanzania. Rohr's first game in charge. gamaliel9: |
