Please house, I want to do my biometrics and Medicals. Can someone guide me on this.
- Can i do the both the same day
- How much does it cost to do the both.
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by nogara: 10:17am On Jun 05, 2018
Yes. You can do both the same day.
Book for your medicals but then, you have to be very early atleat to be the first person to be attended to. The medical fee for fatayi clinic is 46k excluding polio vaccine that goes for 3k.
As for the biometrics, once you are done with medicals, dash down to mobolaji road Anthony Ikeja, you will see Etiebete building. March on straight to the security and tell them you are for Australia. You will be given passage immediately. The biometrics fee is 7500. Enjoy yourself.

Touched down Sydney, Australia in good health, Thanks be to God. Well I decided to start with the good news. I would have dropped this itinerary summary on Life as an immigrant, but I want everyone to take note. I was on the connecting: ABJ-IST-BKK-SYD. My major hurdle was crossing Istanbul, That airline and her airport staffs are bunch of .... In short let me say it. Goats! Firstly, I had a 17hours lay-off or stop over and at the nick of time just before boarding. I was told I cannot fly because the ignoramus does not have immediate resources to check for my visa. As if that was not enough, between 1.25am flight time and 10.00am. None of the over 200 staffs could verify my visa. I had to teach the Cows how to use VEVO. Eventually, it was verified and three idiots told me I need to book flight by myself, Na there I spark say Wetin you talk! In summary, I had to make them book a new flight for me. A 2.5 days journey became 4days for me. Take-home point: You might want to reconsider if you hope to take Turkish airline.

Another scenario, another lady wit kids have to fly back to Lagos from Istanbul because of the same ignoramus plus the fact that her connecting flight was Singapore, which needs a ttasit visa. What a waste! Pls, if your agent books Singapore as your connection, Call am fast make he retrace him steps oh. Na dead end.
Incase you still went ahead to book Turkish airline, on arrival to Istanbul, rush to 215 transfer desk to ensure your visa is verified. I have left a message that all Turkish airline staffs needs two things: English class and Reorientation. Let me drop miy mic before dem go find me come. Love you ALL

I used Turkey Airline to..was terrible though but i didn't verify my.visa since.it was a transit visa ......... but those.people are. Just semi racist...

did u submitt a statement of account with your application? I think you should get a written explanation from your employer confirming that u are paid cash. also upload an soa from your sponsor if u did not. The misconception is that AL1 unis dont require soa, altho thats written on dibp. The Co has the discretion to ask which he/she did. These COs are getting smarter by the day. All the best.

I don't think that will work....Consider a y other options and weigh them before making final decision......

Pls why is RMIT referring me to an agent/representative?
I was first asked to upload my cv and reference letter from my employer which I did.
I received another mail from them yesterday telling me to upload my SOP and at the same time referring me to agent/representative.
NB: I have been doing all the processing myself.

After a careful thought, it depends on your risk/return ratio analysis, I needed to save a fraction to cater for my family, so I guess I will take that option again funny enough, since I can withstand stress as against no funds for my family. In a nutshell, it is up to you. I would think things will get better after my case, cuz it was their loss. Anyways, they still have my bag. However, if you are travelling with wife and/or kids, it might not be a good idea.

Today makes it 48 days since I applied for a student visa, No contact from the CO, no additional document requested, nothing nothing... dem just bone face

Application status still showing "Initial processing". The estimated processing time stated on the portal as at when I applied (April) was 26-42days which later changed to 40 - 50days. Friday will make it 50days of waiting.

And school orientation date is 20th July, WSU.

Do I need to contact them now or just chill a little more before sending a mail or calling them. Advice please.

Yes, send a mail to them be brief in the mail. the subject of mail should be VISA APPLICATION STATUS, include these details your full name and passport number (and VLN if applicable), type of visa application, and date and method of lodgement. Failure to include these details will result in a delay in responding to your query. if possible include your Health declarations reference number, File number.
GOOD LUCK

initial assessment after 40days is not good. atleast your applications should be in "further assessment". Kindly place a call to this effect.

My agent is taking forever to upload my applications. It seems I have to also use them for VISA applications. Though I have written to school for leave to either use another agent or apply by myself.

Please senior people, is this move of mine safe?
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by nogara: 3:18pm On Jun 06, 2018
GoodguyGonebad, I dont know your agent but one thing is certain, self processed admission in Australia is not an easy process. Agents makes things a lot easier however, sit on your agent, get their head office contact details and report this abdication exhibited by its staff. I think that will suffice, also create an enabling relationship with your agent to ensure he/she feels your pulse as you journey down this process. At a time , you might need to disagree to agree. My one cent.
