Knowing Igbos and PDP if Buhari extends the retirement of IGP they will say he wants to use him for elections and if he retires the man they will wail that there is no substantive head of security going into an election year

Good observation. That was what buhari did in Customs and appointment of service chiefs. A northern Muslim will be picked to replace Idris. Buhari, the ethnic bigot hates middle belt and southern Nigerians.

No be today nyash dey back. after ironsi was murdered, 3 Yoruba officers were qualified to be the next in command. they were all by passed and compulsorily retired, and a yakubu gowon was chosen. ... all done by gun wielding northern junior officers.
