Hello Nairalanders, please I need help on this, my face is conspicuously blacker than other parts of my body, before now I don’t feel bad about it but some persons have being saying it could be a disease, I don’t know and it’s starting to give me reasons to worry. Ordinarily i’m A dark person but my face just seem to be darker. Is it a disease that could have caused this or is there a remedy for it please. I need genuine advice. I have checked on google and not valuable information.

it’s not a disease I can assure you. Lol I’m not a professional but I can relate as I used to have this issue 2 years back. Nigerian sun is not a joke. Your face is probably darker due to sun damage which has led to pigmentation/ discolouration. It could also be due to your diet, lack of iron causes darkening on the skin.

For me, I went to see a dermatologist. They recommend some products which naturally brightened my skin to my normal colour. I also wear sunscreen every single day which prevents the sun from damaging my skin further. You can use natural remedies to brighten your skin. Google is your friend. But honestly I would recommend seeing a doctor because it could be an issue that requires professional advice. Don’t worry you don’t have disease it’s a very common issue. You’re not alone, go and talk to a dermatologist/doctor.

When did it start? How did it start? Does any member of your family have the same problem?

What do you eat daily? Do you get enough sleep every night?

Are you exposed to sunlight or heat daily?

If you answer yes, I would have said maybe it is sunlight.

Have you changed cream recently?
Do you apply cream or lotion to your face at all?

Sometimes some bad creams can darken skin while the good ones can tone it.

Try to apply cocumber juice on your face at night b4 you sleep daily...or honey..every 3 to four days.....

Learn to cleanse your face once a week with wool and any facial oils like virgin coconut oil or those commercial types. Eat fruits rich in vitamin E and if you can as well, buy avocado oil and mix it to your cream!

Discontinue your cream if you suspect it...

If you are worried consult a dermatologist for professional help. Don't use any harsh stuff on your face...o
