Tadal7: Good thing is, you still have time on your side. Why don't you equip yourself with the abundance of info on the not so much 60+ pages on here. Also, I believe "canada visit" thread will do you a lot of good in terms of applying for a visa. https://www.nairaland.com/2103860/canada-visit-tourist-visa-discussion/0 Read and ask questions along the way and people will be happy to guide you. All the best. |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Candybright: 10:28am On Jun 06, 2018 |
Tadal7:you can wait since its strictly birthing trip you are applying for. Am not sure which is better but I THINK people prefer paper route. so many has been mentioned here. It will depend on where your host is or which city you intend to stay in, then you can check out the hospitals in that city. |

eniolaalab: I think is whatever works for you’ if you already stated childbirth on your letter of invite then you can apply for and state it there as well. And the earlier the better |

If you are planning to do paper application and submit in Lagos office, pls go and get an appointment date first with your passport bio data. As of nof now, available date to submit ur application is June 28. I have to go to Abuja to submit my application coz I can’t wait till then. I just don’t know if Abuja is more strict with granting visa |

[quote author=Nadnad post=68068574]I came in last weekend , applied for my visa when I was already pregnant didn’t indicate childbirth because I wanted to go to the US. But I changed my mind along the line and when I come in I declared at POE that I was here for childbirth. I was take to secondary inspection. They counted my cash and filled a form online for me and gave me a paper that will allow me stay for 6months and stamped my passport in for 6months as well. They thanked me for my honesty and that was it. Good day, Pls how did you go about accommodation in Calgary |

I got into Calgary first week of this month . I was able to get an appointment with mosaic primary health care , they asked me to come with all my results and scabs from Nigeria which I did. Prenatal , doctor, postpartum care up to 6 weeks after delivery everything is cad 5000. The doctor is really nice and said she'll need to review my results from Lagos to know the ones i have to do . Sent me for scan and later asked me to go for some blood work. 2 Likes 3 Shares |
