Fellow Eagulians.

I assure you all - we gonna see a different Eagle at the Mundial. We are able to keep our Tactics away from the Oppositions.

The Oppositions are as confused as the Fans. They don't know what's gonna happen at the Mundial, kinda difficult for the Scouts spying on us to analyze the Team credibly.

Kudos to Rohr, and I'm kinda satisfied with the 2nd Half Display.
Are you OK or you are Mad? grin

Those calling for Rohr's head seems to have forgotten where we were coming from.
From a poor team which couldn't qualify for 2 consecutive AFCON.

This man decide to pick the job despite so much hullabaloo then. He came on board and the unexpected happen we were handed the toughest group in worldcup qualification history.

No one gave him a chance not even his employers. But he turned the fortune of the team around and we qualified in style without loosing and with a game to spare.

This same man has only lost 1 single competitive game out of 7. Yet still we want him to be sacked. Can we please cut him some slack?

He might not be having it easy and we rosy but the employers and players are not complaining. The players have not even showed any sign of unhappiness with the result. Maybe there is more to these preparation than we can see.

Me, I still believe in this team, I still trust the boys to deliver when it MATTERS and I'm not going to allow some insignificant matches to change my mind.

#SOAR EAGLES
and so what...because he qualified us means we should stick to clueless abi?
though zidane won 3 champions league in a row...he would have been sacked still if now fails to deliver...

consistency is the key....mere looking at rohr shows he needs help...the old man has lost it.....
and sanusi and co...still haven't gotten over the euphoria of the world biggest football tourney few days time....

Enough of the wailings and excuses. Matches don't appear as bad as they look when we rewatch them.

I rewatched the England friendly and I really felt it wasn't as atrocious as it seemed going by the social media outcries.

Once again enough of the wailings.

Frankly, this team is NOT as bad as people make. it out to be. The team just needs a few minor tweaks to become great. Here are the keys:

- Play 3-5-2

- Move Mikel CM

- Play Iwobi AM

- Move V. Moses LWB

- Ebuehi RWB

Our best line-up should be;

Troost- Balogun- Ogu (or Awaziem)

Moses - Mikel - Ndidi - Ebuehi

Iwobi

Iheanacho - Ighalo (preferably Simy, but Rohr might want Ighalo)

@ tbaba, could someone please pass this info along to Gernot Rohr or any member of the technical crew?
They are not picking my calls any more shocked

O pari

Best fit for me. I wonder why Rohr has not been trying out Simy. I prefer him to Ighalo

Playing mikel him as a CMF will suit him more, he does not have the ruggedness of Etebo, ndidi or onazi to play in that position.
He brings calm to the midfield and sometimes likes holding on to the ball longer than necessary which is not good for a Dmf
if the ball is lost it can sometimes result in to goal, just as we saw in the case of onazi against England. (kanes goal)
playing him in the Cmf position with ndidi and Etebo behind him will prevent such situations.

Good spot on, i agree with you in that dimension!

It not Good for DM to hold ball long, he could put the team under pressure

Croatia, Iceland, Argentina, NFF and Nigerians world wide are all confused. But the man is not!

Naah... What is baffling is you not understanding what you quoted. I repeat, Rohr did not start with our very best even in a 3-5-2 in all the friendlies this year including today's.

Ebuehi didn't start, Iheanacho didn't start. These two are key players in our 3-5-2 system. Even Awaziem is good in a 3-5-2 thus allowing Ogu play in the midfield with Ndidi and Mikel. Iwobi pairs Nacho upfront to bring about that two false 9 approach and there you have it... Your very best 3-5-2 formation with the right players who can produce magic consistently.

MetalJigsaw:
Who else didn't start apart from Ebuehi?

...Baffling

At this point we need to start asking Rohr questions

Rohr doesn't show confidence in his team... He has disbelief in them and he has transferred such disbelief to the team itself

We no longer play with determination, power, grit and self believe

What i see on the pitch are not fighters,. I don't see warriors rather i see sissies and wussies

Too bad

Let someone tell Rohr that Nigeria have attained Heights that is head and shoulders with the highest might in football before in the past and we won't take mediocre performance from him or his team.

We are not new to success. We have been successful before in the past, we have tasted success before even with less preparation. Thats where we get all our hope, and believe from... Let Rohr not turn us to cowards

Blood and Sand is what we need to see on the pitch..... Its a do or die....

Honestly, having watched some other countries tune up games, you wonder if we are 5 months behind schedule in preparation for this tournament. I wonder what our magic sauce will be in a forth night.

I also think there is something psychologically wrong with our players, their level of confidence is very low, at wembley they seem overwhelmed by the wembley crowd and I could sense stage fright. same thing I noticed in the first 25 mins against argentina and to think with players like moses and mikel who have played at the greatest stage of football, we still experienced this says a lot. I think a player like musa who is also very experienced should start games, including omeruo who also played at the last world cup. The players who are all making their world cup debut look so low on confidence especially our very young defence including the acclaimed oyinbo wall. This stage fright I fear is what croatia will capitalize on.

Every defeat is painful but one who has been brushed many times reacts better in times of defeat. You criticise but you never wail or cry and no matter the defeat I know your is entirely for the team.

My brother, those of us that have followed football since in the 80s would never be moved again by any form of defeat we see today.

See, World Cup preparation matches most times do not determine how well a team will perform. Trust me on this. This has been a common reoccurence over the decades.

What you just need to look at is the quality you have in your team. The ability of the team.

I am telling you I am not moved. I have seen enough of this team to rate them. The issue is if they can bring their "A" game.

Nigeria is no more than Iran and Saudi Arabia..

in addition, are we beginning to loose our physicality as an african side? african sides are known to always bully their way thru the opposition, if you watch the 94 team against bulagria, you will see ruggedness, can't this team just add ruggedness to their play, the europeans are already technical, you want to match their technicality without ruggedness? what a joke

The bolded is where all my believe and hope is hinged.

I have not watched our team as long as you have but I've also suffered my own share of the pain of disappointments.

But in this team I have one solid believe. And sincerely believe is all it is. I really don't know but I'm hopeful for the best.
