This Buhari’s move is fraudulent.

To change democracy day in Nigeria, it requires the act of parliament (National Assembly) which Buhari didn’t do. You can’t declare a day we celebrate transfer of power from one government to another illegal (by his pronouncements) and then unilaterally misinform the country that June 12 would one day be recognized by law. Why not now? Why not write the National Assembly and make them declare June 12 as Nigeria Democracy Day?

To grant someone the honour of GCFR, the council of state must sit.

June 12 has been and remained democracy day in mind of millions of Nigerians who witnessed June 12 1993 Presidential election won by late MKO Abiola.

If Buhari want to play his divisive 2019 politics, he should at least never involve the Great MKO in this.

This fraud must be outrightly rejected by responsible and reasonable Yorubas and Nigerians
