UzzyBreeze: Corrections 1. This your bleep bleep sound threw me off severally....... you're using expletive language there, right? 2. bleep bleep University has a good track record in [name a research] and houses 3 national research center of excellence in [field name], which provide leadership and outstanding research training in my area of concentration [name of conc]..... I would like to take the advantage of these ultramodern facilities to learn [name your course] and be involved in the [name of research] on going in the [name] department. Be advised, since I don't know this bleep bleep university, if you know the school is like VIU, better don't say anything like outstanding research, ultramodern facility etc. Also, an early admission decision can be translated to something like.... Oh! your bleep bleep university can admit anything that enters their admission office. Best of luck! 5 Likes |

Hello fam, I'm between the devil and the deep blue sea. I was denied admission to Cleveland St uni earlier today, the reason was because my ND/HND is equivalent to an associate degree. Therefore, i am not qualified for a Msc degree program. Now, they have tabled an option for me, that option is to join a Bsc undergraduate in their 3rd year. Then after the program has been finalised, I can go ahead with a MPH degree with them. Gurus in the house what do you think I should do? |

Demonicide:1. You should have evaluated your credential with WES 2. Do not take that offer, I repeat, Do not take that offer. kick back and relax, evaluate your transcripts, Write GRE if you haven't, and reapply to other schools, and hustle for funding. accepting this their Greek gift means you'll have to pay out of state tuition, aside other unwarranted expenses , that implies financial recklessnes. 2 Likes |

Good evening all..please I would to know, for those schools that offered i20 without Ielts or toefl but writes it in the admission letter and i20 that English proficiency is required and the student takes Ielts after the i20 was issued...What should be the answer when VO asks if any exam was taken for the admission? Thanks |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 13 by thirdpage: 10:18pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Demonicide: Sorry to hear about this. I was in same shoes early this year... When uni of Iowa rescinded my admission offer after sending admission letter. The reason was same as yours. Even your WES evaluation will not help. Some of these schools are research level institutions and evaluate degrees in-house. Hopefully you applied to more than one school. It's always advisable, to guide against issues like this. It's also not advisable to take thier offer considering that your HND is generally seen to be equivalent to 4-year Bsc in the US and convincing the VO may be difficult. 1 Like |

Demonicide: Like many people have said here, I believe its always better to apply to more than 1 school (asides for Visa purpose). You diversify some risk away when you apply to more than 1 school. I applied to 8 schools (A3, R4, W1). You've got to invest time to research on them. I only paid application fee for 2 of them, others only cost me time and data. And yes, I also did the WES evaluation, but I ended up not using it. |

godG: It is very important for you to read instructions before choosing schools to apply. UW-Madison's MS Finance is just like a 5th year program for their undergraduates. They take courses in their fourth years (final year of undergraduate), do a summer internship and then complete the coursework in their 5th year. A lot of schools do such and I remember one of the Texas schools having such a platform. The program is not open to international applicants or even applicants from other universities. This is my propose transcript. Guys please tell me where I need to improve WHY ARE YOU GOING TO THE U.S ? I am going to the U.S to pursue a bachelors degree in supply chain management at southern Arkansas university magnolia. WHEN DID YOU FINISH HIGH SCHOOL 2011 WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING After my high school in 2011, I did a one year program in computer studies and after that I went for my national diploma and in 2015 I did a one year industrial attachment at xxxxx company where I was luckily retained. SO WHY ARE YOU JUST GOING FOR YOUR BACHELORS DEGREE I discussed with my boss 3years ago about my career plans which I considered to be 3-4-4. That is 3years with them, then proceed for 4years bachelors degree, then come back for another 4years before going for my Masters degree. TELL ME YOUR STUDY PLAN I will be taking 120 hours of credit course over the period of 48month which some of the courses I will be taking includes: leadership ethics, human resources management, entrepreneurship, supply chain management, total quality management and so on. TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL Southern Arkansas university is a public institution located in magnolia, Arkansas. Situated less than 20miles north of the Louisiana state line. It was founded in 1909 and it utilizes a semester based academic calendar. It as a 17:1 student to instructor ratio. HOW MANY SCHOOL DID YOU APPLY TO 4. Penn state uni, Michigan state uni, uni of Houston Victoria and southern Arkansas uni. HOW MANY ADMIT 2. SAU and University of Houston Victoria. SO WHY SAU I chosed this school because it has a corporative and experiental educational program which integrates classroom experience into real life world connecting me with the experts in my field of study and also it has a structured curriculum which aligns with my career aspiration with the aim of developing me with the technical, analytical and concepted skills to become a globally attuned leader in my profession WHAT WILL THIS COURSE DO FOR YOU It will better equip me with the requisite technical expertise coupled with the experience and expertise that would prepare me for a leadership role at my place of work when am back to Nigeria. Also a degree in supply chain management is in high demand. A lot of companies here outsource this skill because it's professional expertise and skill supply is still very low. I intend to learn this skill using global best practise that can be modelled for use here. HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS SCHOOL Even though SAU was recommended to me by my boss. I did an extensive research online for schools offering supply chain management. I narrowed down my s HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THIS COURSE My current line manager told me how taking a course in supply chain management was very instrumental to his career growth and I also aspire to become a supply chain manger in the nearest future. Chidinho10: You are joking right? Bro, I school in UW-Madison. I am still not sure that an international student cannot get admitted into the MS Finance track. Come on! There are many international students who got admitted into the program after one or two semesters of their undergrad career. That international student are barred from the program is a bit ridiculous. 1 Like 1 Share |
