Guys please tell me where I need to improve

WHY ARE YOU GOING TO THE U.S ?
I am going to the U.S to pursue a bachelors degree in supply chain management at southern Arkansas university magnolia.

WHEN DID YOU FINISH HIGH SCHOOL
2011

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING
After my high school in 2011, I did a one year program in computer studies and after that I went for my national diploma and in 2015 I did a one year industrial attachment at xxxxx company where I was luckily retained.

SO WHY ARE YOU JUST GOING FOR YOUR BACHELORS DEGREE
I discussed with my boss 3years ago about my career plans which I considered to be 3-4-4. That is 3years with them, then proceed for 4years bachelors degree, then come back for another 4years before going for my Masters degree.

TELL ME YOUR STUDY PLAN
I will be taking 120 hours of credit course over the period of 48month which some of the courses I will be taking includes: leadership ethics, human resources management, entrepreneurship, supply chain management, total quality management and so on.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL
Southern Arkansas university is a public institution located in magnolia, Arkansas. Situated less than 20miles north of the Louisiana state line. It was founded in 1909 and it utilizes a semester based academic calendar. It as a 17:1 student to instructor ratio.

HOW MANY SCHOOL DID YOU APPLY TO
4. Penn state uni, Michigan state uni, uni of Houston Victoria and southern Arkansas uni.

HOW MANY ADMIT
2. SAU and University of Houston Victoria.

SO WHY SAU
I chosed this school because it has a corporative and experiental educational program which integrates classroom experience into real life world connecting me with the experts in my field of study and also it has a structured curriculum which aligns with my career aspiration with the aim of developing me with the technical, analytical and concepted skills to become a globally attuned leader in my profession

WHAT WILL THIS COURSE DO FOR YOU
It will better equip me with the requisite technical expertise coupled with the experience and expertise that would prepare me for a leadership role at my place of work when am back to Nigeria. Also a degree in supply chain management is in high demand. A lot of companies here outsource this skill because it's professional expertise and skill supply is still very low. I intend to learn this skill using global best practise that can be modelled for use here.

HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS SCHOOL
Even though SAU was recommended to me by my boss. I did an extensive research online for schools offering supply chain management. I narrowed down my s

HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THIS COURSE
My current line manager told me how taking a course in supply chain management was very instrumental to his career growth and I also aspire to become a supply chain manger in the nearest future.

That doesn't sound convincing, to me, sir. You mean if someone else at the said place of work had told you that a certain program wqs instrumental to his/her growth, you would consider such program? Why not talk about the things you love doing that is related to your proposed program and how you want to gain a more nuanced understanding of that thing or field?

Plus, you should be weary of these proposed responses. Don't be mechanical in front of the VO, just flow. smiley

You are joking right? cheesy Bro, I school in UW-Madison. I am still not sure that an international student cannot get admitted into the MS Finance track. Come on! There are many international students who got admitted into the program after one or two semesters of their undergrad career. That international student are barred from the program is a bit ridiculous. smiley

Did you read my comment properly?

International APPLICANTS cannot apply for that MS Finance program!
It is only open to undergraduates at UW-Madison which may be international or local students.
But for someone in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world applying for MS Finance at UW-Madison, is not possible.

It's allowed. But you should have the funds that will cover your tuition and living expenses for the whole 2year program if you are going for M.Sc except you have some sort of funding from your school

All these expenses are not even the issue. It's how to convince them at the embassy.
and my humble advice is that you shouldn't try to sell this at the embassy, as it will speak high volumes of desperation, don't be in so much of a hurry to go to "Amelika", ride the waves as calmly as possible. And Except your parents have $50,000 in liquid cash right now, those expenses will cause you some trouble, except of course you plan to " transfer" to a community college like most of our brethren do.

No one here can predict chance. Visa approval or denial is solely at the discretion of the VO.
However, it doesn't really matter when you finish high school.
Once you can show the VO you are a credible student you will definitely get your visa.

No bro.
Waec result is quite different from transcript in respective of the agent who evaluate it.
Transcript is the summary of your result from jss1-ss3.
However, there are some schools that does not require you to evaluate your waec transcript.

I hope this help ?

Visa denied on the 5th June,2018.6.45am.Lagos

This is my transcript below.

VO-What course are you going in for?

Me-Masters degree in Applied statistics and decision analytics in Western Illinois University

VO-Why did you choose this course?

Me-In my place of work (You fell into his trap; This has being the most common escape root for applicant for years now and they know this.) they encourage staff to further their education.

VO-cuts in...o you will be returning back to your place of work. (I know he will ask the denial question) This is where he rejected you.

ME-Yes.and I continued..the knowledge of this course will assist me as a manager in making good decisions with data.Data is very key to our business. Also,I would be able to think statistically in making decisions at work.I noticed in Nigeria, most buisnesses make wrong decisions with data and in the long run they can not sustain their business.
I remembered in 2016,when Nigeria was into recession, not many businesses survived.
Also, with the knowledge of this course I can give good advice to my managent and mentor my team members and work hand in hand with the operation s team to prepare budget .

VO-Have you travelled out of Nigeria.

Me-I have not had a need until now.

VO- Are you married-

Me-No.

VO-Do you have kids.Me-No.

VO-Do you have relatives in the US?

Me-No.

VO-Who is your sponsor?

Me-My sister, she is an optometrist, she owns her clinic and optical laboratory.

VO.-sorry your Visa is not approved.

Please I need help,as am about to reapply a second time.

Advice;
You can refire but don't mention your work ooo....There are other rigorous reasons you can chip in first b4 any other.

I have learnt a thing or two here and I think it’s best I give back.

My visa interview on 22nd May went thus:

Me: To pursue my MS in Materials Science and Engineering

VO: How did you get to know UTA?
Me: A combination of advise from EducationUSA Advisers and my interest in Materials for Solar energy research informed my choice

VO: Did you apply to other schools?

For some context:
UG GPA: 3.51/4.00 (Major: Materials Science and Engineering)

What worked for me may or may not work for you. Similarly, what works for you may or may not work for me. However, we never know what works until we try.

I believe in God; He was and still is very important in all this.

Thanks to everyone who makes out time to offer their opinion and advice here.
Cheers!
