KK555: It's glaring to the blind that he is not ready. We have seen school boy mistakes already. We know he is there based on sentiment by the goalkeeper coach. Time will tell. |

guys take it easy on the goal keeping issue, let's just admit that the exit of enyeama and ikeme illness caused all these. We just have to look ahead and hope things get better from now on but nobody is talking about the level of confidence in the team that causes stage fright in the first 20-25 mins, especially the defenders. 1 Like |

Please guys I'm kinda confused here, this Ed Dove that analyses our team most times better than even our coaches, say Siasia, Keshi Rohr et al, where is he from? Is he an Anglo Nigerian? Tbaba1234, Icon4s, Mujtahida, Joebie, goodjoe, Kog45, Nerdy bwoy etc |

the Iceland i watched yesterday against Ghana , and other of their matches , i have concluded that we already have 3 points in our bag ..... if we can secure that 3 point against Croatia ? which is very possible cos it's about who wins the battle of the midfield . i am optimistic that Eagles will have 6points or more at the end of the group stage . 8 Likes |

MetalJigsaw: That is one of his main faults. You can argue that he is young, frustrated, intimidated and a bit too humble to confront his backline when they get awkward. Perhaps he does not want to rile anyone of the big boys. He sucks it all up but you can see and feel his frustrations when he suffers unending exposures and vulnerability by throwing tantrums at no one in particular after making a dangerous save. You,ll sometimes see him say something, throw or bend his head sideways with his arms and gloves up in the air like he was complaining to the Heavens. I think he should be bold and confident enough to direct them, shout at them and call for a back pass when when they seem to be struggling to find the right man to pass to. 2 Likes 1 Share |

sorry to bust your bubble. Naija does not give up not only in football but in every fascet of life. We fight to the end. Greatest comeback in football history. Damman Miracle, Atlanta 96 against Brazil and Argentina and many more. Please do not compare Naija grit with that of Ghana. We are come back kings!! Underrate and Underestimate Naija at your Peril. Goke7: If at this stage professional players can not concentrate and be focused. Particularly in the biggest games of thier careers and lives. That's not something the coach should have to teach them, that is something that should be part if the reason they are selected. Consistent top class performances in thier club and respective leagues with a proviso for the quality of that league. In this regard I expect a lot more from Balogun. He has just been bought by a EPL club as an experienced and supposed quality defender according to his new manager. He should know how to defend against set pieces. For this reason I would probably have Balogun as captain to organise the defence with authority. But even with our flaws the team is unpredictable add pace to that and against Croatia we should overcome. Croatia is very predictable and structured as well as heavily reliant on Modric. I am watching Iwobi, Etebo, and Ebuehi grow up making us less dependant on Mikel. That's an advantage, everybody has to stand up and be counted. No stars in the team everyone has to perform or you get dropped. That's why I am concerned in our team selection we may have passengers along for the ride. Because in this squad every player is needed to perform. TEAM WORK our greatest ATTRIBUTE. 1 Like |

And what exactly did you see in the Croatia or Iceland game(s) that made you conclude that we'll end up with 3 heavy loses? Were you watching those games with your eyes closed Croatia is yet to win any pre-world cup friendly match and they haven't even played well either. Same with Iceland. gosh, Iceland can't even beat common Ghanaian team who are not in the training camp and hasn't been playing together. So what makes you think they can beat Nigeria? Let's wait and see how Croatia does against Senegal today. That would give us a pretty good idea of their current form. Ol' boy, please go back to your specialty and leave the game for people who know what they are talking about ... yea, we know the world cup is just around the corner, but it's NOT compulsory for everyone to be an expert. You can just read and learn from the people who know what they are talking about, OK? O pari congo4ka: 2 Likes |

KK555: I don't have to be in the dressing room to know if something has gone wrong. So your proposition is without any substance and has no place here. Speak for yourself, maybe you have no knowledge experiential or certifiable and are therefore completely out of your depth. Then remain in your lack of knowledge. But to cast aspersions on those who know more simply because you do not know. Is the opposite of wisdom. It's often said that a foolish man when quite is often assumed to be wise. 3 Likes |

komekn: I repeat, many of you here know nothing about football. Go out there, get a team or form one, apply your tactics and formations, manage your team, get into and participate in competitions and prove people wrong. Dont be a nairaland football manager only. Go out there and prove yourself a Mourihno, Klopp or Ancellotti. When you lot are not preoccupied with tactics employed by the manager, you,ll be worried about the players in camp. Go and get your team, apply your football knowledge and wisdom and be a hero, otherwise your knowledge starts and ends on nairaland. Many of you can not even manage a 5 aside team. 5 Likes |
