If the hospital said they've sent the report then i'll advice you email them your upfront e medicals slip again, it may be a technical glitch or they didnt see it. Wasting that money again for medicals doesn't seem right to me. I called IOM and asked them that question and they said you should just resend the slip given to you. Just to avoid any problem.
What if they find it later on and you have two medicas, They may read different things because of the different times it was taken. Then again if the other one is found you may look desperate.
I stand to be corrected.

Still think the hospital should at least check the barcode to see the required test in the system as it may be a different test altogether or further medical test.

So i got an email last night saying my account has been updated but lo and behold, there has not been any change . No mail for biometrics yet. Na only me waka come ??

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by HerMoney: 12:49pm On Jun 08, 2018
Thanks a lot Frank. Waiting for the notes. I'll keep you posted ...
But pls one more question... I sent a signed consent letter to the person helping me apply. But afterwards, I saw a form online, is there a form one needs to fill for this process?
Thanks and God bless
Frankrobbn1:

HerMoney,

Applying for a study visa to Canada with a proposed program that is not related to your current employment or previous studies is usually difficult but not impossible because there are no traces of academic/career progression. To support your claims, go for a program you have relavant experience in.

Or Better still, table a rational letter of explanation detailing your reasons for a change in career path and how you intend to excel in your new academic pursuit, how it might be of paramount benefit to you and your home country.

Lastly, don't be in a haste to reapply if you haven't secured your gcms notes and address the concerns of the visa officer regarding your previous refused application.

Mrsecman:
Hello Seniors,

I just checked my CIC account again today, and saw that "They're reviewing the results of my medical exam"

Please note, I didn't do any upfront medical. I only uploaded medical request form.

Basically, eligibility, medical and background check now under review.

Is this normal?

Find attached picture to understand me better.

Thanks in anticipation.
Titaniium:

I'm in exactly the same situation. I don't know if this a good sign.
Bodmillz:

Expect a medical call tomorrow.
HiSignature:
The update is normal.
It only means that they are at the stage of reviewing your file for medical result, by the time they check and see the form uploaded that you require medical examination, then, they will send the form for medical request to you.
I believe that might happen tomorrow morning or sometimes next week.
I wish you all the best .

Frankrobbn1:

It's a good sign. Be hopeful your medical request is coming shortly!
Frankrobbn1:

Yeah! I have seen an applicant who was called for medicals with such update on her CIC account! There are no set out standards to which CIC follows prior an applicant will be called for medicals. Sometimes it comes this way. Both applicants should be hopeful, it's a good sign.

I respect you guys' awareness on this forum. The medical request just dropped one hour ago.

Hello
Please someone should answer my question

I have bsc in estate management before and I finished with 2.90 in year 2015. Since year 2016 I have been learning and working with a producer of films. I decided to go for another BSC in Canada again in film making which would last four years. I applied already at university of Manitoba. Waiting For addmision. What is my chances of getting a visa for wanting to do another Bsc again. I don't want to apply for masters in film making because it is not related at all.

Hello
I have the notes now
Can i send it to your pm
Frankrobbn1:

BoystoMen,

Madam, start working on presenting a rational SOP/LOE before the arrival of your CAIPS file because that's only what I can see that went wrong in your previous refused application, for any further advise I dish out to you, will be based on guess until we see your CAIPS file. When you're done with your SOP/LOE you can possibly pm some experienced individuals here to assist in reviewing them for you. Also endeavour to share your CAIPS file once you've successfully acquired it, so we can pick it up from there.

It shall end in praises next time!

Not relevant to Nigeria as English is our mode of instruction in school. Check with your school, I know one school in Canada still requires students in Nigeria to take a test demonstrating their English proficiency.
Most require, I haven't seen any that don't. I'm applying to 3 schools and I'm trapped because I don't have any English test.

I must add that my online profile was a little weird.

My medical didn't indicate passed, biometrics didn't show completed(though that's common with all paper applicants now).

Also, I wasn't sent an email about an update in my profile. I just logged in and saw it.

Congratulations Lemia, this is one of the approvals I have been looking forward to.

I can remember vividly the day you highlighted the document you submitted.

Well detailed and well deserved.

Some of the other Approvals I'm looking forward to among others are that of Phocusjosh, jnyuwa and Frank.

I wish all other TRV hopefuls a successful ending.

I don't think most schools in Canada require test of English Proficiency. well, McGill, UBC that I know so well doesn't require proficiency in English from Nigerians. I'll advise you check with that school and request for a waiver, perhaps they can ask for a letter from your school to attest that your former degree was conducted in English

Long post!
Hello house, My SOP is a 12 page document which I know is many. But the reason why this pages r many is cos apart from the normal procedure of writing an SOP, I farabale wrote down points to tackle my previous refusals. Please note I have been refused twice with four reasons each and this is my 3rd application, and I don't wanna be refused the thrid time that's the reason why my SOP is this many. Now to my question, 1. should I leave the SOP like that cos I don't think I wanna remove or delete any sentence from my SOP. Or I should just split it into 2 parts. I.e SOP and LOE.(I know they r both similar). My plan is to write ma SOP and then write ma points to tackle my previous refusals in my LOE. Ur input will be highly appreciated..

That is kinda an outlier, you should tell them that English is your first language, that Nigeria’s official language is English and your language of instruction in school has always been English. They should give you a waiver of the English test requirement.

Ps: apologies I have been absent here, I have been travelling in some parts of Nigeria for pleasure. Should be back here in some three weeks or so with some good news. Best wishes to everyone.
