Martz101:what's the big deal....should someone say a fellow mate is better than rohr.. the comparism he drew up here is not in person but in tactics and team formation.... moreover it is just an opinion...I still don't understand why he should be called out for his opinion..... mind you not everyone you see in too positions have the knowledge to cope in such role...reason why many do have special advisers etc... no man has the monopoly of wisdom.... some of US here know somethings that many top heads don't even know.... so that keyboard coach of yours wasn't necessary.... |

Humility017: even in football circle, anybody can be a analyst with knowledge of football but to think you are better than our coach because of your football knowledge, please think again. I see nothing wrong in what i said and my example of Neville was because him and his brother are one of the best football analyst but failed to perform when giving a chance. Peep here forget this a public forum and should be careful with some things dey say, football analyse is different from a football coach. how can someone say they are better than Rohr who have a coach different team in the french ligue and Africa, A coach that took a team to Europa league final. Bro think well 1 Like |

That was the Guy's opinion... His expression... Did you see me reply such comment? I ignored it... And he even quoted me. But you had to insensibly quote the guy and drop a comment down playing what we all do here... Why didn't you just address what he said instead of throwing silly jabs at the house. Honestly Martz... You are the one who seriously needs to use more of his cerebral cortex to first understand before typing some stuffs. Weigh your comments before unleashing them. That is how to use your head more and by extension your fingers. Martz101: |

nelxxy:There are always tthree lapses which African teams always show every time. 1)Ball watching. They are always fixated at the ball without looking out for runners. 2) Impatient. Most times the attackers don't cool down once close to the post. They go with power when brain would have done the job. Thereby wasting a lot of chances. 3) They don't play for each other. This ranks the no 1. When a simple pass will open d opposition, they will want to dribble their way through sea of bodies. Once African teams grow beyond these, they will overcome many oppositions @ the mundial. My observations tho. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Humility017: and be better than Rohr was necessary?? let's talk football and forget who is better than our coach. intelligence is not about what you know but the ability to apply the knowledge you have. if we have not been given opportunity to apply what we know about football then we remain an analyst and not a coach and can't know more than our coach. is very easy to understand |

Wow.... Lol.... You actually took MetalJigsaw's comment that seriously? Woah... Na wa oooo... Come on, you really give too much importance to that simple expression of his. And so the comment of just one moniker will make this thread a joke right? So in a sea of top comments, it is just one from one moniker that will make people call this place a joke? Lol... Loosen up a bit man... We have heard far worse hyberbole... Trust me. Martz101: 1 Like |

comodo:I think the last point is where most of our problem lie. Africans take their greedy and selfish nature onto the field of play. Everyone wants the glory without realizing that only complete team effort wins you the world cup. The only reason why Germany is dominating is because of the collective effort of the players. That's why there's hardly any player who stands out in the German team. A dumb African player, will want to bulldoze his way through a sea of opponents just because he wants that glory when he could have easily passed the ball to another player. The chances of African team winning the world cup is as a direct result of the growth of our countries. Until we leave greed, selfishness and clannishness, we will keep lagging behind in almost every facet of human endeavor and that includes football. If not, tell me why Cote divoire despite their avalanche of world class players could not do well at the world cup. 10 Likes |

After seeing this friendly match between Saudi Arabia and Germany, with how this Arabian players confidently string sweet passes plus their tactical nous, I am sorry to say we are far behind most of the teams going to Russia. Thats if friendly is anything to go by. 6 Likes |

. They will be back soon after their third match. The current super eagles have nothing special to offer. If you are a fan, lower your expectation. If you like to brag about the team, they will disappoint you. Watch their matches, laugh at their flaws & if they ever score a goal, rejoice with them. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Is there award for the youngest team in the world cup? Besides, if Rohr said he is building for the future, why was he chasing Enyeama? What are Echiejile (30), Ogu (30), Ezenwa (29), Akpeyi (31) and Mikel Obi (31) doing in his team? How many old players even still dey self apart from Martins who is far better than most of the players aforementioned and Dele Aiyenugba who is the only active Nigerian goalkeeper in a decent league in Europe? Abi na Sone Aluko wey bi original 29 years old, na em old? Abi na Raheem Lawal wey bi passport 28 years old na em old? Oh! I see! Rohr said he wanted a good atmosphere devoid of disputes or egos and problem hence these set of players are not needed because they will pollute the atmosphere with there body odours. How Rohr take know these players get bad character if somebody among the Nigerians with him no tell am, so tey those earlier aforementioned old players dey make him team but these ones never smell camp despite their splendid performance since Rohr was employed? Ok na! 2018 World Cup: Rohr speaks on Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper, older players Published on June 8, 2018 By John Owen Nwachukwu Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has revealed that he will announce his first-choice goalkeeper for the 2018 World Cup next week. The Franco-German gaffer also explained why he resisted the temptation to invite experienced players to the team ahead of the tournament. The youngest player named to the World Cup roster, Francis Uzoho, has been used by Rohr in all the warm up matches played ahead of the tournament and is expected to be in goal against Croatia on June 16, barring a last-minute injury. Rohr told Spanish news outlet, the Marca, ”We have been working hard in that position for a year. We had bad luck with the illness of Carl Ikeme [suffers from leukemia], but we have three good goalkeepers. The decision of who will be first choice will be taken the last week. ”We must respect what those (older) players have done for the country and let them enjoy it. The plan is to prepare the team for the future. ”Nigeria has not played two African Nations Cups. It is important that the atmosphere of the team is calm, without problems, disputes or egos. Once a good environment has been created we need to continue along that same line. ” With an average age of 25.9 years, the Super Eagles have the youngest team at the 2018 World Cup http://dailypost.ng/2018/06/08/2018-world-cup-rohr-speaks-super-eagles-first-choice-goalkeeper-older-players/ 2 Likes |
