charlesemeka85: Long story. The simple point is that against a top class France, Keshi's team matched the French side until they resorted to injuring his players to win. That is a clear description of the strength of Stephen Keshi. Remember our two-two game against Italy or our 1-0 defeat of Catalonia. Calling Keshi a scam is nothing but a joke. Heck in the AFCON, we put 4 goals pass a strong Malian side and in the CHAN, Keshi led the team to a Dramatic come back from being down by three goals to win the game in extra time. Please you should acknowledge him, Because Keshi deserves some accolades, He does deserve some accolades. 31 Likes 4 Shares

Afam4eva:No be lie. Soo much truth in one piece. For Nigeria, whenever they meet a big opposition, the players, out of fear not to be the spoiler, throw passes quickly and the team wins. E.g against Cameron. But when they are so full of confidence against a team, the players hang on to the ball or run with it like they are kings. Germans, when in possession, make the ball and their opponents do the running and reserve their energy mainly for marking and making runs to utilize spaces. Thats modern football. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

that's our problem we love corruption. We celebrate corruption. Keshi is the football version of our politicians who chop chop but can boast of several projects... We can't take anything away from him as regards his achievement as a player for Nigeria and coach, but he is still a scam. if Rohr fails, he should get the knocks for poor performance. He can work with Nigerian football to build for the future. He don't necessarily have to be a coach to do so. That's if he fails. Kog45: 4 Likes |

isan:I love this artwork.. It is more than an art. It depicts the probability of each nations odds of lifting the worldcup title.. Brazil are mostly favorites, followed by Germans,Belgium, Argentina, France etc as u can trace on the picture.. Average teams like Nigeria, Iceland, Saudi, Panama can be seen struggling to get near the cup. It will be a herculean task and a miracle if any pot 3 or 4 team reaches semi finals.. Interesting graphic illustration on how Croatia pressed and cut off Brazil's passing lanes in their recent friendly, resulting in Brazil playing long ineffective balls up the pitch. If this will be their pressing template against Nigeria then our midfield and defence will struggle to play out of the back and build sustained pressure on the Europeans. Jon Ogu, Mikel Obi and Alex Iwobi will be key in our team because there are the only natural pin point passers in the team who can use their passing skills to get out of the Croatia press. Also, Victor Moses will be key because in the absence of Simon Moses, he is the only line breaker in the Nigerian team. I can't wait for June 16th 9 Likes 1 Share

edi287: The English team thought they will get work permit for him within two years if he plays in the top 3 leagues in Europe and expected a talented player like him get to play for national team but it backfired on both sides. However, if you are a good Shakhtar Donetsk player, there's is possibility that you can get to play in any of the top clubs, I mean top clubs in the top 4 or atleast top 7 leagues in Europe if you do very well within 2-3 seasons with Shahktar Donetsk. Players like Fred (Manchester United) , Williams(Chelsea) , Fernadinho(Manchester City), Douglas Costa (Bayern Munich/Juventus), Henrikh Mkhitaryan(Dorrmund), Luiz Adriano(AC Milan), Facundo Ferreyra (Benfica) etc who were once either the best players in the Ukrainian league or an important Shakhtar Donetsk players moved straight to bigger clubs or leagues from Shakhtar Donetsk. It's now up to him to distinguish himself in the Ukrainian league to get noticed again by a big club. Hopefully, the National team coach looks his way. 6 Likes |

goldfish80: Victor moses and the two mid fielders shielding the defence are the key!!!! When they press and are with the ball, they tend to play a high line dragging their back 4 with them. One wrongly misplaced pass from Croatia in that midfield coupled with a slow back line they are dead. |

Certitude: I was not talking about AFCON. I was talking about 2014 World Cup because Ike Uche played in the AFCON too. He was not even suppose to be in that team based on the selective criteria used these days because he was in the second division of la Liga. I am talking about when he actually deserved to be on the team when he replicated his form in the 2nd la Liga in the La Liga with 14 goals. Besides, the main core players that won the Afcon were in the form of their lifes too but the bench was filled with injured and useless players. We should be thanking our God that Mikel and Onazi were not injured in that competition. The team picked up as soon as Victor Moses was restored to the first eleven. Besides, Emenike and Brown Ideye were no efulefu going to the AFCON because they already distinguished themselves in the Turkish, Russian and Ukrainian league before that tournament. Brown Ideye was the second highest goal scorer in the Ukrainian league prior to the AFCON while Emmanuel Emenike was the 5th highest goal scorer in the Turkish league and 4th highest goal scorer in the Russian league before he went to that AFCON. Apparently, these players were more consistent than Ike Uche going to the AFCON. EOD. The two best strikers he left out was Peter Odenwinge and Obafemi Martins but Peter returned for the world cup. 1 Like |

goldfish80: If Ogu plays in the 3 mans defence.. Hahahaha! ... we go suffer based on what I saw against Czech. This is because he misplaces passes when he is pressed and under pressure. Besides, he doesn't know how to position himself and on many occasions ventured out of his position deep into the midfield together with Brian and even Echiejile. I just dey laugh. Hope Omeruo plays though I understand the coach wants to use his pin point passes to create chances but he should be aware of the other side effect or deficiency in defending with Ogu. I rest my opinion. 1 Like |
