forgiveness: Ike Uche, I gathered, was always advocating the adoption of the tactics of his club and would easily make remarks about “how things are done in my club and how they should be done here.” Sylvanus Okpala, then with the Eagles, reportedly once asked Uche that if all players in a national team insist on adopting their club tactics what will the confusion be like? Okpala advised him to stick to the game plans of the team and that he needed to respect the national team too. I also gathered that Ike always did things his own way. But there were times his goals covered up tremendously for his tactical indiscipline or idiosyncrasies as the case may be. At the last Nations Cup in South Africa, Ike Uche didn’t have a good tournament. His matter, I gathered, was compounded by the fact that he bluntly refused to obey instructions especially the one that had to do with marking. As a second striker, Uche was always asked to fall deep to mark. But he was always failing to do so after repeated warnings and opponents were exploiting the space he was creating by his action. It was so bad that even his fellow players complained, I gathered. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/03/understanding-keshi-ike-uche-osaze/ An interesting read and might open your eyes to some of the negativity you have thrown at Keshi and his crew. 2 Likes |

Croatia Coach Dalic: Beating Africa’s “Best” Senegal Is Inspiration To Play Super Eagles Croatia coach Zlatko Dalić says his team’s friendly against Senegal has provided them with the needed test ahead of their 2018 World Cup opener against Nigeria on June 16. Dalic’s Croatian side came from 1-0 down to beat World Cup-bound Senegal 2-1 in their final warmup game on Friday. Ismaila Sarr opened scoring for Senegal on 48 minutes before goals from Ivan Perisic and Andrej Kramaric in the 63rd and 78th minutes, completed the comeback win. Reacting to the win, Dalic says his team overcame Senegal who in his view are the best team in Africa. “Congratulations to Senegal for a good performance, they are the best African team, with pacey players, quick transition, and quality defence,” Dalic told Croatia Football Federation. “That was just the test we needed before the Nigeria encounter at the World Cup. “In the first half, we distributed the ball too slowly, leaving us with no solutions. Later on, we corrected some things and performed better searching for an equalizer and the winner.” He expressed delight that they will be heading to Russia on a winning note in their final warmup game but admitted they still need to improve in some aspect of their game. He added:”Croatia has to be happy to be leaving for Russia with a win, even though we need to improve even further, in order to open the FIFA World Cup with a positive result. “I remain optimistic, while Croatia needs to learn a lesson, play faster and present more quality. In seven days, we have to be at our maximum level.” https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/croatia-coach-dalic-beating-africas-best-senegal-is-needed-tonic-to-play-nigerias-super-eagles/ 1 Like |

Aina's snub already yeilding bad fruit as Anglo Nigerian trio vow to turn down Nigeria if approached and their fear is that they might be treated like their colleague Aina. Tom Dele Bashiru who once opted to rep Nigeria, lukas Nmecha, Tosin Adarabioyo and others are the ones listed for now who have vowed to turn down the NFF due to how poorly Aina was treated. |

It is true. You might likely face the same..... Ola Aina's World Cup Snub : Man City Trio Show Solidarity,Vow To Turn Down Nigeria If Approached Published: June 09, 2018 Ola Aina's World Cup Snub : Man City Trio Show Solidarity,Vow To Turn Down Nigeria If Approached Versatile Chelsea fullback Ola Aina might have taken his omission from Nigeria's World Cup roster in the right way when he publicly wished the Super Eagles all the best at the 2018 World Cup. However, there are repercussions over that move made by manager Gernot Rohr, with foreign-born talents of Nigerian descent based in England vowing to turn down the opportunity of playing for the Super Eagles if approached by the Nigerian Federation. This website can exclusively report that the very talented Manchester City trio Tom Dele-Bashiru, Lukas Nmecha and Tosin Adarabioyo, who have all debuted for City's first team, are no longer interested in playing for Nigeria. ''Dele-Bashiru, Lukas Nmecha and Adarabioyo are the hottest young players in England at the moment,'' a top source close to the three players told allnigeriasoccer.com. ''They are unhappy over the way Ola Aina was treated by Gernot Rohr and the Nigerian Federation, and they don't want to play for Nigeria again as they could face the same fate. ''Apart from his debut against Argentina, Brian Idowu has not impressed in all the games he has played for the Super Eagles and Echiejile was not playing for his second division club in Belgium, Aina should have made the 23-man squad.'' Aina became cap-tied for Nigeria when he replaced Elderson Echiejile in the closing minutes of the Super Eagles 1-0 win over Zambia in Uyo last October. The former England U19 skipper has made four appearances for the Super Eagles. Ifeanyi Emmanuel http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/941529706?-18946:4882 |

KK555: They are IPOB activists but they were supporting Nigeria players because Biafra has not been actualized but my focus was on their music and the intensity and energy those guys put in. Says much when you are allowed to do or be where you want to, it counterproductive to force people to be where they do not want to be. Nigerian supporters club with their massive numbers can never match those guys with few ogene/metal gongs 5 Likes |

Morning Session: Eagles Play Practice Game Lasting 50 Minutes; Ighalo Nets Brace, Iwobi & Iheanacho Strike Published: June 09, 2018 Morning Session: Eagles Play Practice Game Lasting 50 Minutes; Ighalo Nets Brace, Iwobi & Iheanacho Strike Allnigeriasoccer.com can confirm that the Super Eagles Saturday morning training session was held behind closed doors at their training camp in Avita Resort, Bad Tatzmannsdorf. The Nigeria Football Federation want the players and officials to be fully focused before their trip to Russia for the World Cup and did not allow fans to watch or the media to cover the session. The players started this morning's training session, which began at 1000 hours, with the usual warm-up exercises before they rounded up the session by having a practice game between the Team A and Team B which lasted twenty-five minutes each half. The training game ended 3-1, with Alex Iwobi and Odion Ighalo (2 goals) writing their names on the score-sheet for Team A and Iheanacho pulling a goal back for the Team B. Two days before their trip to their base camp in Yessentuki, the Super Eagles will train again this evening, starting from 1700 hours. Meanwhile, allnigeriasoccer.com can independently confirm that there is no rift between captain John Obi Mikel and his assistant Eddy Onazi, amid speculations in the media that they fell out following Nigeria's 2-1 loss to England last weekend. forgiveness: As much as I was pained by Aina's omission, I also feel this news is false because if those guys feel bad about Aina's snub, they should also consider the fact that iwobi, vicmo were picked. But the last paragraph carries much info and its true. Idowu and Elderson are not better than Aina. 1 Like |
