Stephen Keshi was one of the best man managers around. Tactically I didn't rate him as much as an Oliseh or a Siasia, but he knew how to motivate players better than those two. He always seemed to fall off after he's had a major achievement. Togo didn't do well in the AFCON in 2006 and he had issues with Adebayor which some were saying had to do with "agent talks". After the World Cup with us, he was poor in the Afcon qualifiers. He and NFF should shoulder equal blame for that. 9 Likes |

KK555: My brother, all these you stated have been what I have been preaching here over the past 2years but these people will prefer these shinny hipster choice European born players, hating players from their own league. You should have seen the shameful comments made before, during and after the Chan tournament. If some had their way, they would have disbanded the Chan team even before the tournament. Africans are just terribly lazy. They want ready made everything. They never make their own. Consumer nation, that's what we are. 1 Like |

Tunisia out balling former world champions Spain. They should have been up 2:0 in the first 15mins. Spain is playing at home, I must add. 4 Likes |

I wouldnt go as far as saying they are out balling but they are most certainly playing well - they have neutralised Spains tappy tappy football and have had the better scoring oppotunities - early days still goldfish80: |

However have you noticed that Spain are not finding it easy playing there tappy tappy football because Tunisia are not only defending well but are passing the ball with intent. Nigeria should pay attention to this game. goldfish80: |

yea you may be right but iwobi's rise to stardom in the international scene may lure him into switching allegiance to us. alex also will play a big role if the nff is serious on getting him to play for us edi287: |

goldfish80: If they play with such intensity and consistency of performance, England will find them a hard nut to crack. They have not lost in their last 4 friendly matches. I think they will come out of their group in the world cup. |

pelezico: Spain have not managed to create even a half chance while Tunisia have created 4 solid chances. From the African perspective, Tunisia is playing a solid vertical game, allowing Spain have the ball in less threatening areas while they get the ball with super sonic speed to the Spanish defence. Hopefully the Nigeria team is paying attention to this game. 1 Like |

KK555:England have their work cut out for them. I watched a video of Peru playing out of their back with intricate passes reminiscent of a peak Barcelona and hard pressing you will see with Klopp teams. I was just applauding their game. If I was a betting man, I'd wager England to loose to almighty Peru. The Tunisia I am watching against Spain will disturb a lot of teams. I'd be worried if I was English. 1 Like |

Heres me thinking that Tunisia were the weakest African side - at the mo id say that this Tunisia and Morocco are the best prepared of the Africans. Its still a friendly but they this will give them alot of confidence. KK555: |

pelezico:Tunisia are playing a high pressing 4-5-1 game against the Spaniards same thing they played against Portugal cancelling their 2 goals to play a draw. Very fast wing players. I'm in love with this Tunisian and Moroccan team their defending has been top notch. I consider Belgium and Tunisia to come out of the group and Morocco as well |

goldfish80:That's one aspect we need to work on we can't string 5 complete passes together without our opponents intercepting and the useless and unnecessary long balls give opponent to come at us like bees. |

A hard fought 1:0 victory to Spain. Totally different completion to the result if Tunisia used their chances in the first half. |

Tunisia played like Senegal: missed their chances and the Europeans capitalized on their mistakes in the end. Hard fought nonetheless. |

goldfish80:They'd hold their held high We (Africans) need to learn to bury our chances same thing with Senegal against the Croats yesterday. Tunisia should have layed this game to rest in the first half if only they learn to punish opponents. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by nelszx: 9:44pm On Jun 09, 2018 |
The USA is using the 3-5-2 with unknown players to deal with France with all the big names. That formation is golden abeg. It makes you swarm opposition like bees not giving them chance to operate 4 Likes |

Bolowolowo:With pacey players at the wings that can track back to help the midfield yes it can. Our 4-2-3-1 is another 4-5-1 we've not mastered yet. The only time it worked well was against Cameroon away. That formation needs intelligent full backs sha 1 Like |
