Coward you say?
Ojukwu fled from battle and ran out of the country. Sorry, who is the coward.
Fela stood still fighting, and other prominent yorubas, so who is the coward?
You people are not really civilised.. Watch us coming out in style and with sense. You will not notice till we take over, we don't rush in shout, we have strategies

lipsrsealed Joe Igbokwe has a point. I actually admire (note I did not say 'like', I 'admire' them) Yorubas. They are very intelligent and strategic. Their culture is far more flexible and resilient than any in the country. And, I see nothing wrong in emulating what is good about them and discarding the rubbish part. I believe if Igbos can unite and be as strategic, we will dominate EVERY SINGLE SECTOR in this country. This is our achilles heels. The greater Igbo nation has two major goals to achieve before the actualization of Biafra:

1. Elect an Igbo President in 2023

2. Work with the greater South to Restructure Nigeria.

After this, the actualization of Biafra will be a walk in the park.

NB: I have also noticed that some Igbo parents teach their children from an early age to despise Yorubas. This is a counter-productive strategy because either we like it or not, we need each other in this complex Nigerian environment. I thank God my parents did not teach me hate. I am 100 % Biafran but I do not believe HATE is a requirement to be a Biafran or to achieve Biafra. Biafra when it is realized will be the shinning light on the hill. And hate will not take us there. Only strategic thinking and planning; and making deals with people we disagree with will take us there.

Igbos did not go to war, rather it was Gowon that sent troops to attack and invade them July 6th,1967. The result was that they also defended themselves.
Did anyone send Army Divisions and Airforce jets to attack and invade the SW during June 12th. Was there a military action to occupy the SW and remove all their Governors and officials? Am sure if Babangida did that it would also have resulted into a full scale war too.
Let's be conversant with history and be guided accordingly. No wonder Buhari wanted History to be scrapped in the school curriculum.

I don't think Igbos know their own history of cowardice and even the meaning of coward.

Osu people are being deliberately delusional and I wont blame them because all this while that they call others cowards, people rarely discuss their cowardice until now no tribe in Nigeria is as timid as the Osus who occupy the erosion ravaged land of run away mouth warriors like Michael opera, Ojukwu and Nnamdiot Cownu. I dont think an imam butchered in same manner and motive would have been played down the way it was.

Nigerians didnt obviously want to heat up the polity also wanting to see what would be different about the new government, giving them benefit of doubt.

We could obviously see the saga of the catholic church in benue killings didnt particularly go down in same manner.. if not for anything the awareness went International.
When many of them were killed in ife osun state, what happened. Better keep shut if u have nothing good to say

Is Joe Igbokwe indirectly insulting Yoruba people? Is he implying that Hausa/Fulani can kill Yoruba people anyhow they like and get away with it? Did he indirectly called Yoruba people cowards?

Bia nwa Igbokwe! Did Igbo go to war when Gideon Akaluka was beheaded in kano in the 90s and his head hung on a stick taken round the city in a shameful display? Did Igbo go to war when Mrs. Somebody Agbadime was also beheaded in the same kano during the reigns of your APC government and culprits freed by a sharia Court? Be reasonable. The Igbo fought the civil war as a last resort to survival. It was a war of survival.

Wiseandtrue:

Joe Igbo is only being emotional. Don't be carried away while you are at it. Every tribe in Nigeria is unique but it doesn't make them a lesser being.

Speaking against the ills in the society shouldn't be perceived as war

When MKO was poisoned every reasonable person irrespective of the colour, tribe or place condemned it!

There was restriction on freedom of speech then but I knew alot of Igbo friends who cried and was not afraid of what would become of their reaction undecided

When Falae was kidnapped from his farm and his farm destroyed, the Yorubas condemned it and even threatened how does that translate to war

When OBJ ignored the South West they complained of marginalization, how does that translate to war

When Eunice was killed the Christians felt bittered about it how does it translate to war

An Igbo woman from Imo was also killed in the North because she was selling food during the Ramadan, which even brought El-rufai to Imo, he promised that the perpetrators will be brought to book. As I speak, it has been history, did Igbos go to war And so many others to numerous to mention

The Igbos too are against some leadership styles even their own people like Theodore Orji, Orji Uzor Kalu, Rochas Okorocha just like the Yorubas were against OBJ, how does that translate to war

Igbos have not ruled this country, did they go to war

FG took armies and desecrate an Igwe's palace, killed alot of people all in the name of fighting freedom fighters, did they go to war

Yaradua and Goodluck Jonathan honoured federal character in their appointment more than any regime I have know if you doubt, Don't take my word for it, Google their cabinet. So that one godfather wants his own to be there and they refused, they decided to use the media to give them a bad name.

If you speak so much about this, what then will you say about the North Are they tolerant NO but who has ruled Nigeria the most

The North

So Joe face the right people or craw into your cowardic hole and stop causing unnecessary quarrel in Nigeria!

@Joe Igbokwe, you mentioned how the southwest was tactic in their method how have you being tactic about where you are from

what has being your contribution to where you claim you originated from

I don't blame the friends you lost cause you are a sell out!

I will want to remember u in my prayers tonight. God bless u for this wonderful response to an Efulefu

The others that went to war like Boko Haram and Herdsmen, what did bubu do?

Or is it because Kanu chose not to take up arms? Buhari can only successful fight unarmed people

So in all I understand here, it should be if any Igbo person is killed that we should not talk and if we feel cheated in the Country also that we should not talk rather we should be civilized. OK... Joe, you see your life. Igbos after the war has been looking for peace and equal rights in Nigeria or break up. An average Igbo man is not intimidated by anything, I mean literally by anything. Someone said that the Yorubas have the Jagaban, the Hausas have Buhari but Igbos have no one. well, I reply them that no man born on earth can rule the entire igbo land without being questioned. That's democracy!!! you talk about Obasanjo like he's a saint to the Igbos. Obasanjo dealt with the Igbos more than his people though. what do you people want from Igbos sef. Do you know how many Igbo business men that has been killed in the North. have we gone to war?? Anyone will just wake up, insults the Igbos, threaten them with killings, Call them many names, fight them in all angles of Nigeria and you expect them to cool and relax??

Haaa bro igbokwe you have just pour salt on our people's wound oh my God this thread will shut down NL this evening. Bro you forgot we dislike truth with passion, you have just nailed fact on head but they will hate you for this for sure. I'm a victim of their hate on social media even in secular world simply for telling them hating fellow country people get no one to anywhere.

Yoruba we hate, Edo we hate, fulani Hausa we hate pls is it only us in the face of planet? just simply because one man who till today never speak the truth as per why and what prompted him into civil war till he died now controlling our heads and mind planted hatred on us. Instead to learn and get along with others we opted for confrontation. Gej administration less given Yoruba chance but truly these people never cry despite they voted overwhelm for gej and when they decided to face their level my people started calling them betrayal of gej and I have be asking did Yoruba ever sworn allegiance to gej ever, then why calling them a betrayals?

Well I still remain on my point I will never hate any tribe who has not done me any wrong and no one can convince me to do so if you like bark like dog till eternity Yoruba, Edo, Hausa as tribes has done me no harm if i have issues with individual does not mean the entire tribe has issue with me, No pls.

I respect the Yorubas a lot, I respect the Edo so much take it or bust it. Pls call me Afonja or aboki gives me joy but to shy away from truth and be following haters or a bloody failure, far from.it.
