forgiveness: I don't think it is right to compare players situation. Each player is an individual and should be treated as such. Samuel is so young but yet has the doggedness and character to make it at the highest level. This is a boy who's dream of playing for Arsenal was shattered by no fault of his but yet he picked himself up and is now knocking on the door of a la liga first team. I just believe that with the talent he is showing and the club he is on we should start making room for him in the Super Eagles because it is not just his goals he shows strength and maturity on the ball. 2 Likes |

Nedville: Height is not that important but jump rate, mobility, reaction and recovery. Ogu may be tall but he is very heavy not agile, so the assumption that he has height advantage questionable. On the left side against the Croatians he will be seen as Weak link. Under heavy pressure a liability. My preferred back three would be Omeruo - Balogun - Ekong. 1 Like |

Nedville: Actually that's totally UNTRUE. Dominic Father said when he is 23 he will make the decision. However, last summer when he was 21 and he had tied up his move to Ipswich Town. He then made a commitment to Nigeria essentially two years earlier. Since that time Rohr and the NFF have been playing him Maradona left right and center. He us now back to Wolves recovering from Injury you we may see him in the EPL this season. I noticed that a double standard was created for Jordan Torunarigha and Akpoguma both these players were essentially not interested. Nonetheless, Rohr and the NFF kept courting them. Meanwhile Iorfa was forgotten not even tested with a friendly invitation. WHY 1 Like |

Etebo's move is disappointing especially as he had La liga, Bundesliga and Premier League clubs looking for his signature. It appears that for Nigerian players, it is all about the most financially rewarding deal not necessarily the best career move. This is why Shehu went to Cyprus and Imoh Ezekiel went to Qatar. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Uzoho just a few years back at Aspire Academy. This picture was taken in 2014. A few years later, he would be number 1 at the WC. 18 Likes 2 Shares

Martz101: I could go on and on and on there are too many. Burnley predominantly buy from the Championship check thier players. Liverpool bought Gomez from where at age 18 straight into the first team. Everton bought Ademola, Mason Holdgate, Calvert Lewis, etc etc, Finally who is the most expensive left back.in English football Ryan Ssegnon 18 years old last summer Liverpool bid £30 million Fulham refused. Where was Dele playing before he came to the EPL Update your knowledge 3 Likes |

charlesemeka85: Firstly, Aluko did exceptional playing for Nigeria and us part of the Nigerian set up. So also did Hope Akpan who dislocated his collar bone playing for Nigeria. These players are both part of the Nigerian football set up. But they are not part of the arrangement set up of loyalty by payment. You have no Idea what goes on behind bother scenes. There refusal to play ball with NFF officials has seem them frozen out. Finally, let's forget the age ting please we know ourselves. If Aluko was born in Nigeria he will not be more than 25 possibly younger with a football age. 1 Like |

Our goalkeeping department is probably the most inexperienced heading to the world cup.. Our three goalkeepers don't have up to 20 caps between them.. though ezenwa has 24,only 4 were with the main team... |

charlesemeka85: Is this not what some peeps used to mock Kayode last year when dey sais why has he not attracted top scouts from big clubs if he is good enough because Everton bought Onyekuru but their mouth where shut when Man City and Newcastle came for him? Today we know what's up Anyway, I want to believe the reason you think Onyekuru is better than Peter Olayinka is based on his GOALS because of this statement 'Onyekuru has shown that he is not a flash in the pan having 2 good season in the same Belgian League', right? I agree Onyekuru is than Peter Olayinka when it comes to goal scoring but I don't think he is better than him because both contribute goals directly or indirectly which is the primary role of a winger. For instance, Onyekuru contributed 31 goals in his first season in the Belgium league last season while Olayinka contributed 26 goals in his first season in the Belgium league. If we look at the stats critically, Onyekuru who scored 22 goals with 9 assists is a better goalscorer while Olayinka who scored 11 goals with 15 assists is a better team player. Apart from this, if we look at the other attributes like team game, aerial threat, versatility, skills, etc I don't think Onyekuru is better than him in all those aspects. It is either Onyekuru is better in skills aspect or the other while Peter is better as a team player or better in aerial threat. As far as concern, they are par. You are asking where was Olayinka, when Olayinka helped an Albanian club to win their league twice in a row and later helped them to qualify before he even played in the Europa league, Onyekuru was still in the Belgium second division league. Peter was already a Gent player before Onyekuru thought of playing in the Belgium league. Of course, He did not play because injury ruined his season then but by the time he came back they bought another player hence the reason he was sent on loan on two occasions. However, if you think Onyekuru is better than Peter Olayinka because of his goal-scoring attribute, what makes you think Samuel Kalu and Dennis Bonaventure are better than Peter who has contributed more goals than both with 26 goals this season against 14 goals and 17 goals they scored respectively? Remember, this is Samuel Kalu's first and the half season in the Belgium league yet Peter has scored more goals than him and almost equal his 16 assists with his 15 assists in just one season? Now, tell me how these two players better pass Peter. Abi na by name you think say dem sabi play pass? 1 Like |
