Odunayaw: Yep they are fresh from NA depot. They are this most recent set that pass out last December. More than 15 of them are my childhood niggas. So when I see them donning Special Forces thingy on Facebook I was shocked? It seems the word "Special Forces" is a generic term here in Nigeria |

bidex111: Mtcheeeew! Straight form Deport, no prior experience, no real combat experience... Just 6 month training at Deport.... They give them Ak47, black vest with fancy inscriptions, and then boom they are "Special Forces". What's that nw 1 Like

abiodunalasa:Ah Jesu'ngbo ko ye mi mó . I once made a comment on something like this on this thread. Its really annoying seeing soldiers that attended COIN school donning SF tab, heck even Amphibious soldiers(their school is pretty tough tho) don SF tab e.g The present GOC of 7 Div. Honestly its getting irritating and I think Army command should do something about it. Probably make SF/Special operator become a trade like Infantry,Armor etc and forbid any1 that didn't pass through Buni Yadi from associating with that trademark or Altogether just ban/stop the noise and present only badges to those that pass through buni yadi. Na Army own de always get k-leg, The Navy has Vbss sailors but for once we never see anyone of them strutting SF upandan 1 Like |

Odunayaw: Ok. Maybe they went to Buni Yadi after Depot because not all of their course mates I know are doing the SF thingy. |

Odunayaw:To the BN, thing is some who show proficiency and potential are deployed to these special BN to get mentorship and acquire experience. You won't actually send your operators to patrol Ops Mesa na, so you need these ones for such. These bones still have a long way to go. |

Odunayaw CaptainStephen You guys should never ever question the structure of SF in Nigeria. Entire battalions calling themselves SF? Internet warriors have determined it is possible. When some of us say Nigeria will sort out her SF structure in the near future, we're denigrated here by internet warriors because pics of troopers with gear refutes our argument. |

Odunayaw:What enlightenment do you need again? It is obvious now that every D*ck, Tom and Harry with few months of military training is claiming to be a Special Force member. In the future, when the whole mess gets sorted out, SF tag will only go to selected few, who are best of the best. |
