andrew444:Oga forget this ' If you see you know' At sixteen, Everyone doubted my age. No be say I was even looking older o. I never even get beards sef but I saw a 19 year old I looked older than. While in school, my best friend laughed when I mentioned I was 18 believing me to be older. This was someone who looked far older but he was just 17. I'm very sure my guy would be tagged a cheat if he played football. We can never tell one age by looking. Well since you said as Nigerians, I no go argue further. Nigerians has been mistaking me for an old man since forever. 1 Like |

tbaba1234:What brought about this discourse was icon4s comparison of Ogu and Aina's age that looking at their face some would believe Aina is older but i drew his attention that seeing them physically Ogu na old bros o. On Awoniyi you are right. He was a toddler when i finished from university cos they lived closer to campus, his Dad is area bro.I can say a lot about him and his age but one thing is glaring no matter what the 2013 U17 team were young. 1 Like |

Certitude: Lol see bro i no doubt you at all trust me. Many people look older than their age and some look younger but it cant be everybody. All super eagles player look older than their age apart from one or 2 and the oyinbo boys, even almost all the brazillians look older than their age. If diego Costa is 29 years old then nobody should doubt the age of super eagles players. 1 Like |

andrew444: Oga, this is false. MRI tests drastically reduced the possibility of that. Making the assumption of 3 to 4 years goes against established science. Several players were their exact age. Awoniyi for one. Iheanacho came through from the under 15s. We have iheanacho's pictures in the under 15s. 2 Likes |

goldfish80: We both know that is not the average age of WAEC takers these days, especially in the cities. The average age is between 15-18. You can not be looking for outliers. Besides, those who know the family personally can confirm that he is certainly the right age. 1 Like |

Lol.... Imagine this crap. So people are still doubting the youth of our youngsters from class 2013-2016 and even going as far as calling the MRI a scam.... Something that most here cannot even explain in details nor even show the working principle. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.... I laugh... I laugh oooo... This is very funny... I wonder which of those so called serious radiographers even know how to use a functional MRI not to mention working with the FIFA-certified MRI teams. As if I haven't met, worked with and still work with and also have friends/associates in the radiology and radiography professions. Infact, radiologists are even taken more seriously than radiographers... So what is all these? Can we please stick to what we know and avoid speaking on things we are ignorant about? Lol.... I have been with professionals and studied in depth how this MRI testing is done... I have even been privileged to see how it is done. Make una stop am ooo... It is not getting funny anymore. It is funny to see people still talk down on these boys and it's even far more irritating to see it done in a manner, so confidently, as if they know what they are talking about especially when these same people know almost or absolutely nothing about how the MRI test for U-17s is done. They just wanna find another negative to harp about the team again. What rubbish distraction. Shame on whoever still doubts the youth of our boys from the class of 2013 and 2015 even leading to 2016 (the boys who failed to qualify for 2017 tournaments). 9 Likes

andrew444: Somebody who had successful trials with Man City and Man United but due to work permit, the deal was stopped. He went to Almeria and was already in the first team within 2 seasons. Played in the La Liga for two years. His performance in his first season in the La Liga got noticed by Everton, Athletico Madrid and Monaco (in ligue 2) who contacted him before he went to the world Cup, and hoped to see him replicate the same form at the world cup but because he managed to play once though it could have been twice if Mikel Obi didn’t block the poor boy from coming in against France, two out of these clubs backed out while Monaco pursued to sign him but he can't leave a la Liga team for ligue 2 club. Though I wanted him to choose Monaco because Ranieri was the coach then but he stayed in the La Liga. Monaco was promoted to ligue 1 but Almeria was relegated to the Segunda Division the next season. However, after second season in the La Liga, Swansea-city-afc tabled a bid of £2.4 m for him but his club regetted it because they wanted to keep him for the next season to help them gain promotion to the La Liga after they were relegated. He demanded for transfer to force his move but his club refused and asked him to sign a professional deal with them which he refused. Due of this, he was relegated to the academy for 1 and the half season before he was reinstated to the first team last season after he agreed to a professional deal. By this time, his value don depreciate badly. Anyway, before he was bought by Lugo this season, Malaga came for him and some clubs outside Spain but he choosed Lugo because the coach that promoted him to Almeria's first team, and even played him in the La Liga, is the coach of Lugo, and he convinced him to join Lugo. His problem is bad Agent. About the passport stuff, I followed players in the Spanish leagues, so I am aware of something like that. 1 Like |

tbaba1234:18-19 is not exactly an outliner when you're talking about Waec though. I see a lot of city kids who are admitted into Secondary school at 12, especially those who studied up to primary 6. My next question is if the said result was at his first sitting. I know people who wrote Waec twice and made good grades on the second sitting. It is a very common occurrence. |

Egbon, then let it be repeated to thee that in 2009, MRI testing was not done for a whole team. It was done randomly like drug tests with three players selected for testing. In 2009, one could dodge as the team officials could help see to that. Yet in 2009, we still got a few positives in Kayode, Omeruo, Onazi and Ajagun still balling today and looking to still continue their careers. Ramon Azeez played at the 2014 WC even. He is now at CD Lugo in LA liga 2. He is still balling. Sank Emmanuel was very unlucky... In that 2009 class one could tell he was easily among the youngest even with no MRI. He has just faded into obscurity. The MRI started full fledged in 2011 and its measures/standards were greatly stepped up in 2013 and onwards and we can still see several of the stars of that tourney like Raheem Sterling, Victor fischer, Marquinhos, Benjamin Mendy, Emre can, Jordan Pickford and more around today. Since 2011/2012, we have successfully churned out genuinely young boys from the U-17 program. Even some that were screened and passed and later dropped due to either not making the final cut due to coaches picking the better players at the time OR failing a later MRI test (as the MRI has a six-grade classification system based on the epiphyseal plate anatomy) have gone on to start bright careers. Some of the 2016 boys who didn't even qualify for the CAF tournament in 2017 have secured decent deals abroad... Igho Ogbu is one of such players. Nazifi Yahaya also belongs to that 2016 class. Genuinely young chaps. forgiveness: 2 Likes |

andrew444: I was with Chigozie Obasi about 2yrs ago after his trials with Monaco. Remember he was adjudged to be the youngest of that 2013 set dye to his facial looks and small body. Remember his thunderous long range against the the UAE? After taking some pills to my dismay, we discussed about life and everything, he shocked me when he told me the true ages of each and every one of them that repped us in that 2013. Yes they were young but none was below 18 and none was above 21. 1 Like |

seems Spanish fa wants to sack their coach Lopetegui just before the world cup starts because of this issue of agreeing to coach for Madrid after the world cup..the coach some weeks ago agreed to extend his Spanish contract to two more years..however reports have that senior players ramos, iniesta have waded in insisting the coach stays for the world cup.. |

TheSuperNerd: That was the reason I said no wonder few of the 2009 U17 set remained, since they could dodge the MRI test then. I no the 2011 till date sets went through a compulsory MRI test and I have no doubt that most of them are very young but I am curious to know if MRI is 100%. I am learning every day. |
