Good morning guys, please I need help with eshipglobal. I am supposed to receive my admission packet and I-20 hrough them from Wetern Illinois University. They have disabled credit card payment for people from Nigeria, I can't also pay through PayPal. I asked about Wire transfer from GTB here in Nigeria, and I was told that the charges will be up to #15,000 for a payment of about #32,000. Making it almost #47,000 in total. Also I have friends in New York, but they said the distance of the Bank of America fron where they stay is about 4hours. I want to ask those that have used eshipglobal to receive their I-20 how they went about it. I would appreciate your help. I have been on this matter since last week. Thanks |

.Good Morning Nairalanders, I'm 40 years old - single . I finished my BSc in 2004. And will finish a professional masters in education from a university in Nigeria in July this year. I have been working with a state government as a teacher for over 10 years . I just secured an admission to US university for Masters physics. How can I proof my ties to my country? The Gurus in the house, is there no answer to this germane question? |

Hello gurus.. I need you all to help me scrutinize my proposed transcript .. Criticize like you're vexing. God bless. Why USA? US academic standard is of high reputation, also Additive manufacturing, my major reason for this degree is not offered in any Nigerian institution.. And u know also, a US degree is so adorable here in 9ja - - it's like an icing on one's resume. So why Manufacturing engineering - MFGE? MFGE as part of what my UG program and present job entails will place me on a more competitive pedestal for a production engineering job at companies like Innoson, PZ Cussons etc. It will also afford me with enough qualification to harness the manufacturing capacity of Nigeria - I hope to start up a 3D printing service after grabbing credible experiences from this program and subsequent jobs. How did you hear about Texas State University San Marcos? My first knowledge about TXST was from Scientific America where I learnt about an ongoing project in Additive Manufacturing. Okay, you chose 3 uni what are their similarities? Their course synopses all fit into my interests, profile and budget.. They are all located at temperate region of the US so there won't be no need trying to acclimatize to a new weather condition. (Auburn University Alabama, Florida international university Miami, Texas state university San Marcos) And why Texas over them? Okay, this actually cos I got info about them from a credible source, which is also about a project that's in line with my career goal. Also, Dr. Heping Chen who'd be my instructor in additive manufacturing is one the facilitators of a 3D printed house in Austin, Texas - - the first in the US. These are fascinating facts to me What's your career goal? To be a production specialist, a consultant who'll be knowledgeable enough to proffer solutions to problems across all domains in the manufacturing field.. I wish to own a 3D printing service that'll be known across 9ja for for it's educative and economic impact. I hope these things ain't generic. What's your uncle's occupation? He works as a Depot representative for NNPC, and also a mechanized farmer by inheritance Hope I'm not over emphasizing Why will ur UNCLE spend so much on your studies? Mum and uncle are the only siblings for each other. Also, he's in care of the family's property cos he's the sole heir to grandpa's enormous farmland - - so spending a little outta the surfeit for my education won't be a burden. Abeg, is this gonna convince you as a VO? @Lagosismyhome @walspring @Chidinho @Twoods @EZEIGBOOFIMO attend to a bro... Ejowo |

abid4akin:the University of Ibadan actually has a program in industrial engineering, which is quite similar . actually, if this question ever comes up, the VO probaly just want's to hear about what you can get in america, that isn't in Nigeria. the truth is that the answer to the previous statement is nothing. But, just in case, you can say 1. You're going to the USA because your sponsor can afford it ( be proud of the money ) 2. You're going to the USA, because it's the innovation capital of the earth, and you'll be learning at the very frontiers of emerging trends in Science and technology So why Manufacturing engineering - MFGE?.. honestly what's with the listing of companies, like this is your primary 6 graduation speech of what you want to be in future . A degree in manufacturing engineering is most likely to give you grounded theoretical and practical knowledge in the major engineering disciplines; from the study of classical and mathematical control theory, to electric machines and power systems, to optimization and financial management, you're sure to be prepared to hop on to whatever engineering field interests you as you go along in life. so probably as a lover of all thing tech, you can yap about how a degree in MFGE is the only thing that can clear the fear of missing out on all the interesting fields of engineering. How did you hear about Texas State University San Marcos?sounds okay to me Okay, you chose 3 uni what are their similarities?sounds okay too And why Texas over them?a alittle cheesy , and that's because you're going to be an undergrad, in a very general engineering program, so the whole talk about research, and one personal instructor may sound like a rehearsed lie, because, it's probably one very depressed PhD student standing as TA that will tutor you . There's nothing wrong about bragging with the school, but don't go overboard, by calling US (except of course you're going to MIT or CALTECH). A simple ".. TXST has professors with active industry aligned research, whose experience they will be bringing to the classroom, aided with the cool 3D prinitng, mechatronic and robotics equipment which would most definitely be FUN!! money's worth.." What's your career goal?... enough with the inspirational speech people . a simple "... Jobs are changing and disappearing quickly, and having a degree in MFGE is sure to make whatever career transitions i'd make after starting out with industrial 3D modelling and printing seamless" What's your uncle's occupation?you might want to leave the inheritance part out; your uncle works for the NNPC as a depot rep., and has a Farm which he oversees peroidically. Why will ur UNCLE spend so much on your studies?... simple, "....my father sponsored his education, so he's repaying the kind gesture by doing same to me, and so far, i've produced results to give his money's worth" CAVEAT: i'm not a VO or member of staff of the US Embassy, so nothing I say or feel or criticize matters one bit, in the end,it's all up to you 13 Likes |

Hello guys, Good jobs to everyone here,(including those silent readers who don't add like me lol) Anyway my issue is, the account statement I sent to my school for my I-20 to be sent is different from the one I intend to use for my visa interview . The one I sent to the school had a balance of about 18million (my dad's personal account). But doe to some things he had to make large withdrawals from that account (wasn't informed on time, else would have advised against that for the mean time). So I that account we 're left with like 2million. But he has another account that reads 10-11million. And my school needs like 5-6million. So my question is, can I take the new account (the one with the 10mil) for the visa interview? Won't an issue arise about why two different accounts?? PS: both accounts are in my dad's name. Thanks for your response. Cc: EZEIGBO1OFIMO, LagosismyHome, Walspring |
