Africa Football is the Answer. We ain't as tactical as the Europeans to be candid. I was watching Germany vs S. Arabia Game, and I was like..... are the Germans really Machines?! They knew where to be, when to make Runs, and where/When Passes should be made.

This ain't our Ways. We didn't win the Gold Medals at Atlanta 96 playing the foreign Ways. We played our Game, our style and we wowed the World, same thing at USA 94.

Siasia wasn't given enough time with the Eagles. I believe in his Philosophy and Mentality. Unlike many of our previous (local Coaches), Siasia has a Philosophy. His Team has identity and he's certainly prepared to make a Mark at the Senior Level, but wasn't given enough Chance.

We can't ever be or play like them (Europeans) tactically, hence we should play our own STYLE. Let's sell African Football to the World once again!

Today, in dribbling talents, which Africans would we put above the likes of Hazard, Dembele, Isco, Thiago Alcantara, Bernardo Silva, Sane etc.

I doubt we should think we edge the Europeans in individual creativity.

On this issue raised again by Sir Mujtahida, I have much to say but have chosen to sit back and listen to others.

I just smiled and am glad it was brought up again. See ehn... If you have watched the movie, Pele: Legend of the game, you will see a scenario painted exactly that addresses the matter.

The Europeans couldn't decipher "Jogo Bonito" aka Samba style... There was an emphasis at first on trying to do like the rest of the world that Jogo Bonito is too local and all that... That it would not compete with the rest of the world, but the coach finally caved in to Brazil's true philosophy and all they needed to have was a target they directed their style towards.. It worked magic and Pele, the king of Jogo Bonito himself even at 17, led Brazil to World cup glory.

They triumphed and a new style was born. A style the world struggled against for years.


If we must succeed in this European dominated football world of passing and passing and more passing and running into space and all that... We must be brave enough to impose ourselves as a national team and nation even playing our own style mixed with a fine blend of theirs so as to be shapeless to them yet organised in how we execute it.

Something they don't understand is what they will call, "Formless", but it matters not.... What matters is that we know what we will call ours and stick to it, our African flair, power and style mixed only with the best relevant bits of their(foreign) style which can be turned against them at will. It will take time... But with determined persistence and bravery, we can impose ourselves the same way Pele and Brazil did back in 1958 to birth a new era in football.

I don't know if anyone has answered the question. I think it works same way as your GPS sports watches such as Apple sports watch or any other device like that. Fieldwiz is a bit modified with better adaptability. Inside the sportsbra-like vest is an electronic device, nearly same size as Nokia 3310. Each player is assigned a particular number. Echiejile is wearing no.5, so 5 has been assigned to him like his personal code.

During training, the device uses GPS technology to basically track player's movement and ball positions, field zones/areas covered by him, heatwave and in combination with other devices can monitor heart rate, his runs, speed, number of steps (used by athletes) as well.

The data is analyzed at the end of the training session. Data could also be compared to other training sessions, so for an unfit player, it will be easy to spot decline in performance. Same with someone being monitored to check improvement in performance.

So it is used to track, control and improve performance.

We need to find a way to play Kelechi in our team. We're assured of scoring goals, that much is certain.

i guess this is a subject dear to your heart cos i doubt if you have ever written so much as this ever since i joined this thread.
the statistics support your position: all the countries that have won the WC have done so with indigenous coaches. westerhoff stayed here so long and imbibed our way and this influenced how he made our players play. i do not see anything magical about the tactics deployed by the top footballing nations that we cannot match but like you said greed and corruption is our bane. this is what spoils it for our coaches.

Lol... I already know why you say so oh thou O Pari Master.. I too was about dropping my observation based on the pairings for the knockout rounds... But had to speak a little on the Mujtahida football philosophy discussion.


I checked the likely knockout round matches and found that Mystic Marcus (the pig) may end up being right on just three if all goes according to its prediction... because two of the four are likely to clash before the semis... Leaving just three to make it into the semis.

Well, time will tell... Let more mystics please come forward and drop their own views please... Looolll
