Hamed is limping out. He has been brilliant today. Controlling the midfield well. I hope it's not a serious injury for him though |

Here's hoping Rohr gets his tactics spot on too. Yes, and that means playing Ebuehi instead Shehu and somehow shoehorning Iwobi in mid field. 2 Likes |

The Egyptian defenders are doing well but the link between midfield and attack is not gelling. 2 Likes |

Egypt needs to be more composed in the final third. They’ve had decent chances to be at least 2 goals up. |

Anyone who has watched Egypt play in recent years can not be surprised. They keep it tight at the back and wait for Salah to do his magic upfront. 7 Likes |

mumemma: I think it is way too early to say the pig, mystic Marcus is wrong... Remember Portugal's run in Euro 2016. Nothing spectacular too... Even against Hungary and Iceland (their first Euros) in the first round they struggled. This is football... Nothing conclusive until the final whistle or end of a tournament. So let's keep watching and observing...

Exactly Sir Tbaba... This is their style... "keep it tight at the back and get the ball to Salah!!" The "Pass it to Salah" approach is their way... And this is not how Nigeria play. This is for those wanting us to adopt Egypt's tactics... We are way more lethal upfront than Egypt so we cannot play the same. We can only pick a thing or two from their defensive organisation but not to adapt their entire defensive structure as our game. Mbanu! tbaba1234: 1 Like 1 Share |

This is the problem with African teams - last minute waste of efforts. Happened to Nigeria vs Italy n 1994, Ghana vs Uruguay in 2010, and now Egypt vs Uruguay now. So sad. 4 Likes |

Teams that revolve around one player hardly do well in World cup. At a point Egypt was comfortable with the idea of a draw. Cost them 5 Likes |
