He has won it before this game he won the champions league.

So you mean hatrick now determine World best?

I didn't see people say this till after the hatrick,Bt this guy won the champions league

The only way cr7 will not win the World best is if Messi win the World Cup,and we all know Argentina will not win it

Not the hatrick.

It is the occasion.

Before WC, this was the rating of contenders:

1, CR7
2, Messi
3, Salah (although some will put him as #2)

But CR7 just extended the gap tonight.

He doesn't even need to win WC. Even with R16 exit for Portugal, anything less than winning the WC for Argentina will not make Messi disolace him.

NB: Neymar, being a tournament player that could take Brazil to victory too, may displace someone in #2 or #3 if he emerges WC MVP.

Unless Messi wins WC, even if Portugal exits in R16, tonight performance is almost enough as WC credit for CR7.

Add his UCL performance to this and it will be very difficult not to admit he as win WPOTY.

I dont like the guy, but mhennn
where Messi wan see World Cup win?

Spain drew once the Governor was taken off. Ighalo can have a similar performance he just needs to be loved and supported.

People doubted him because he didn't score in the UCL finals (which is obviously a key part of winning the award), so, they figured World Cup would clear everything. Whoever has a better tournament wins

Not at all.

He doesn't need to score in the champions league final he took them there, this guy scored 15 goals in the champions league so that says a lot

I don't like him too. Me I'm still stuck with Maradona. Between Ronaldo and Messi, I will chose Messi but I salute Ronaldo ooo, I bow.

I have joined those praying for Messi to win the WC. Note I didn't say Argentina oo. I said Messi.

Uzoho is shining and will shine even further at this world cup.

You all should start having confidence in him

Without the hattrick, or any above average performance in WC, the UCL performance would not have been enough if:

- Argentina wins the WC and Portugal gets knocked in group stage or R16 with no standout performance by CR7

- Messi scores crucial and plenty goals in leading Argentina to win the WC.

So the UCL performance would not have been enough in such scenario. He needs performances like tonight's to augment it.

I hope you're not suggesting it's OK for Uzoho to conceed howlers such as the one against Kane just because David Degea parried into his net.

Oga cut the boy some slack... He is doing pretty well for his age, size, experience and exposure....

He is not making school boy errors... He conceded a legitimate good goal,... Do not berate the young man for berating sake... Honestly you have no case or fault against him

Let him be

I never rated Salah highly to make any major impact in the WC because of the country he plays for.

No prizes for saying who was MOTM... grin

The FIFA'S Budweiser MOTM is indisputably Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7).

Here are the stats and group standings too...

I want to understand something, what business does De Gea making a mistake that cost Spain have to do with Uzoho making a mistake that will cost us? what is the relationship there
The fact that y'all kept blaming the boy but will say any keeper will conceed De Gea kinda goal. You're already anticipating Uzoho making a mistake that will cost us.

I never talked of Salah in WC.

I said pre-WC rating. He could be displaced in top 3 if any player outside Messi and CR7 does exceptional well in WC, especially getting to final or winning e.g Neymar.

He coud retain his top 3 space till year end if no such thing happens in WC.

I will watch and see. For now my confidence in him is suspended. To think that I was one of the staunchest defenders of Uzoho after his showing against Argentina. But those videos posted by tbaba1234 damaged something in me. I've found it hard to recover.
Uzoho has one unrefinedness about him, one awkwardness like that. But na my gk so I have no option than to hope he comes good. I have hope but confidence is suspended for now. Tomorrow is not far though.

He made it sound like if Uzoho makes a mistake we all should clap, smile and nod our heads saying that a top goalie has made the same mistake too. I don't even understand the nonsensical comparisons we generate here
Well, he didn't make it sound that way. Na you interprete am like that.

If Sallah hits a hatrick against Saudi Arabia does that push him up the order?

the calibre of the opposition matters...
should any of messi and sallah get to score an hatrick against Germany,France...fine but against a team like Saudi...that's not in same level.

That is just it....

I repeat... Iceland are seriously pondering over what Messi will do to them after this godlike display and hattrick by C.Ronaldo...

Iceland right now.... (Hoping Messi doesn't come out as good as his eternal rival)

Good for his credit, but not the same effect with a hattrick against Spain or Uruguay.

That is what I mean by occasion.

Lolz i understand.... After the Argentina match you saw him as flawless but after his club videos surfaced on here grin since you haven't recovered from your shock

Now look at this scenario,

Let De gea be summarized by tonights performance. Let his highlights be packaged and given to you as his careers summary... Imagine that

Now after viewing this match highlights, will you still have confidence in him?... No!! He made two terrible errors tonight. First his howler from Ronaldo's left foot and secondly his positioning for CR third goal(the free kick) was very poor... In fact i am tempted to say that, his positioning was amateurish grin

But we all know that De gea is a top Goalkeeper, an Exceptional one for that matter

Therefore we can't call him a bad keeper due to one or two errors

The same can be said for Uzoho... Believe me, going through his records, his only had one or two errors.. Thats all

Infact he has saved us several times with his saves... He has even saved his division 3 team on several occasions... I bet that if he was around for their second leg playoff match he would have helped them qualify to la Liga 2

Have faith bro... Uzoho is a fine and rare gem wink

Trust me on that
