I have finally convinced a friend of mine to watch Nigeria play again after years of rejection. So happy. I just hope our players will come to party and make us smile together.
let him be the one that brings good luck, not those ones wey go watch after many years, we go come lose because dem watch

The fewer Nigerians watch this game, the better for the team

the difference is that de gea is already at the top, he has paid his dues, every one knows what he is capable of. while uzoho is still a kid that no one trusts yet. so any little mistake of his will be severely criticised
Why should Uzoho be criticised more than De Gea. A kid is more prone to error than an adult. Uzoho is supposed to learn from those errors while De Gea should have learnt enough not to make that error.

It is 3 games people play in group stage, not one, innugo? Nobody is out yet

A team can be awesome today and trash tomorrow and vice versa

BTW: Do not confuse us with Morocco and Egypt that were looking for draw soup. We are not the Arabians
Morocco weren't playing for a draw.
And he's right. Africa isn't ready for the world cup yet.

Mikel is a DM he played DM in his Chelsea and he his playing DM in china so he his a DM and not an AM

Players are judge with club performance.

Belhanda john utaka and Oliver giroud made montepieller won the French league.

Mikel is played lately as an attacking midfielder in his club.

Shehu isn't poor in the qualifiers.
His friendlies were poor.
Ebuehi can come in the second half.
But really I would have loved to see Ebuehi start, overlapping his class compare to Shehu.

is there anything Africa is ready for? We are in the 21st century and Africa is not ready for independence, for democracy, for ANYTHING. So, what should happen? They should wipe the continent off the world map?

Nobody is saying Africa will win the world cup, but this defeatist mentality most of you have grown with is sickening and is the reason why Africa will never be ready for anything. A continent filled with cowards that give up and run away at the first sign of struggle will never achieve a thing

Some of you call it realism. I call it cowardice. Failure never killed anyone, but anticipating failure will kill before the failure. This lack of faith in your teams will kill them more than whatever the opposition want to do

Everybody that has already been defeated before the end of this stage is undeserving to be African. Your forefathers would sneer at you all, the cradle of human civilization has been reduced to withering cowards. Losers.

You have slayed with this comment and drove the nail deeply in.

They called Costa the Governor for his brace... But you are the governess for this beautifully scripted write-up.
You bombed it all! Well done Safari... Well done!

Replies like these make me save energy and time for other posts... Good to have the whole squad around... Our own 23-man squad doing us proud... This was a beauty from midfield (sebi media officer Soetanoreoluwa listed you as midfielder... Hehehehehe)...

This is why Head coach, Chief Icon4s and other members of the technical crew, Elder Kog45, Awesome TheGoodjoe and myself no go shout much... We got a world class squad and excellent backroom staff...

Me just dey relax....

Costa bullies everyone and anyone. From Ramos to Pepe to Koscienly...you name it. Chelsea were very stupid to sell that guy. They should've been begging him to stay

How long are we going to be optimistic??
For how long are we going to be seen as "potential"? Pele predicted we'd win the World Cup by the 2000s...instead what has happened? The best we've done since the 1990 is the Quarter finals.
The way things are going - 2030 will come and the best we'll still be talking about is quarter final.
Africa has a long way to go before we can be amongst the elite. We first need to have more players making the top 3 for Ballon d orr and of course the usual improve the infrastructure in our leagues, grassroots levels, etc

Nothing wrong with Rohr building this team for Qatar. Inasmuch as we play good football. I believe the team will be better prepared for 2022. It's no defeatist mentality to be scientific in one's football analysis. Does Saudi Arabia have the reputation to qualify after loosing the first game. The answer is a simple NO. Does the two African sides that lost have that same ability to qualify for the knockout stage the answer is another resounding NO. take into consideration how these teams have fared in the past and make a simple hypothesis from that. It's a pattern continuing most especially for African sides. All I expect from Rohr's eagles today is simple play good football, if you win Fine. Good for us all, we keep doing the usual stuffs fans do. We keep getting hopeful and hopeful. For Christ sake it's the World Cup and we talking of an African team reaching a semis at least. We have not consistently had two African teams in the quarterfinals. It's such a big achievement when we talk of Senegal and Ghana reaching here. Come on its gonna be a systematic process. The two African sides are very good sides in the continent but they have failed. And I bet u, they wouldn't qualify to the knockout after loosing their first games. Based on past antecedents for all to verify.

If Rohr starts with shehu and we lose, then he deserves to be fired. How can he turn blind eyes to the begging qualities of Ebuehi? Ebuehi trumps Shehu in every ramification yet Rohr is insistent on fielding the latter. We shouldn't let shehu's good performance in the qualifiers cloud our judgment.
