Iceland does not wastes it opportunities. When they see it, they seize the moment. With that being said, we must play the possession game with them. Do whatever we can to press them in their end.

Argentina simply cannot defend if their lives depends on it. These South American boys are there for the taking if Iceland have the quality in the final 3rd.

what are the chances that Argentina would be the big team to crash out of the group stage in this world cup? Very slim.

Nigeria is the lowest ranked team the group, Argentina is the highest ranked. I know nothing is impossible in football, but what is our chances of defeating Argentina, especially following the backdrop of their loss to Iceland? Very slim too.

A point for Iceland in this game would blow the group wide open, and I'd rather be dragging with Croatia and Iceland for a 2nd round spot than adding Argentina to the mix.

Call it loser's mentality, I don't mind, but as long as it makes our path towards qualification easier then I'm all fine by it.
you still dey yarn rank when people are playing football

Iceland right now is like the boxer that stays in the corner of the ring and mainatins a clinch while his opponent continually punches him. They will be punished for maintaining their compactness.
I don't know what game you have been watching but Iceland have created as much chances as Argentina have. That they have conceded ball possession to the Argentines does not mean they are not in the game.

I never pay any attention whatsoever to FIFA ranking. It trips some people sha but not me.

My ranking is what happens on the pitch not FIFA grading.

This was a while ago. This game is dynamic but for about ten minutes they were being held in their own end by Argentina.

The fires Ronaldo stoked in him seem not to be enough just yet to stand eye to eye against the mighty Vikings... Possibly he is still fanning them in his bowels as the game goes... This is the group where it is all gonna go down in its everything a world cup will have... Drama, upsets, thunderbolts, twists, winners, losers, blood and sand... Group D is the place to be in Russia 2018.

Have you ever heard of the "Rope a dope"? Muhammad Ali vs George Foreman 1974, George Foreman was supposed to destroy Ali. He had already decimated Joe Fraizer and Ken Norton. Ali employed a simple tactic, he stayed on the ropes, frustrated Foreman, he took his best shots and made him miss frequently. By the 8th round, Foreman was exhausted and had nothing left. Ali knocked him out.

It takes only one counter.

Seems like the Icelanders have elbowing as part of their game. Whatever stupid midfield combo that the Argies have, the Icelanders are killing it. Then Finborgasson is really unsettling that Argies defence. That's a pointer to the evil we can do them. we have faster and better players. I just hope we watch how they got their goal too. Shots help and Caballero no look like him sabi. di Maria jeeps crossing to whom?

Messi trying hard with the 1-2 to no avail.

Underperformed to me so far.

The Argentine's defense, so far is as leaky as the kitty of a menstruating gal.

Haha!! My people, I reached one conclusions yesterday. Cristiano Ronaldo is the biggest opportunist in the history of this game. Spain gave away too cheap fouls (a penalty and a free kick) and he capitalized. And to make matters worse, De Gea who's arguably the best goalkeeper in the world gifted him a cheap goal as well angry sad shocked

But that serves Spain right. Like I posted on twitter:
CR7 destroyed a disorganized and confused Spanish team. You don't fire your coach on the eve of the World Cup and still expect to do well. @SeFutbol is a hot mess. Talk about cut your nose off to spite yourself. Spain may not qualify for the round of 16 and that would serve them right.

Now, let's talk about the Eagus. I am predicting Nigeria 3 Croatia 1. What say you, my people

O pari

undecided

Biased post is all I see. very biased.

I don't understand the importance of that word "gifted" here atall? Urgggh

Do that at your own peril. Have you ever seen Messi one-on-one with any player? That player in most cases gets cleaned away.
