If what i am reading is true.. Mikel to play holding midfield with Ndidi slightly ahead of him and Etebo behind the top striker...Brilliant masterstroke from Rohr.

Did you watch the game at all?

This Argentine team that attacked Iceland for 95 good minutes.

Iceland would have their astute defending and goalkeeper to thank. The Nigerian defense and Goalkeeper would have crumbled if kept under such persistent pressure.

Argentina have a very good team and they played very well.

Iceland defended with 9 men ... and when thy have opportunity to attack , the attack with 5players and soon soon as the ball leaves their corridor , 9men again will run to the defense ... if they had played their normal game , the rusult would have been Argentina 3 :4 or 2:3 cos they were very precise and know what they want , when they attack... at a point ...Argentina was clueless ... cos they were forcefully pushed out of the ice 18yard box ... all they did through out was playing outside thei 30yard box

Pione Sisto is an improved Oghenekaro Etebo.
The Peruvian goalkeeper is shaky

Watch it at home to avoid hearing negative comments from frustrated Nigerians if we are a goal down

Don't get me wrong, he did OK. The free kick goal especially was a very well taken kick. But the fact is, it was a very silly foul by Pique at a very dangerous position. Any top player (Messi, Neymar, Iheanacho, etc) would've made that free kick as well. As a matter of fact, I told the folks around me that it's 3-3 immediately Pique committed that foul.

O pari

Chai, he did okay? Smh, I comment my reserve

With this formation, our guys will be running for 90 minutes. Close mark them, do not give them breathing space to pass out from their defence. I know that Ndidi and Etebo will be full of running and if we are to come out of this match alive, it will be how well they both play. Yes we can, let's go naija

Truth be told, iheanacho has done nothing really impressive or spectacular in all our friendly matches. I wonder why some peeps want him to start ahead of Ighalo. #sentiment

Peter Drury's commentary during the match though. I wish he would be the commentator in our match against Croatia. I duff my hat for him. He's the best commentator on planet earth so far.
I thought I was the only one who noticed it

Argentina have a very good team and they played very well.

Argentina had the ball for almost 95 good minutes but they were not attacking. Messi could not touch the ball without at least 3 men on him and when they went wide Iceland dealt with them fairly comfortably. Apart from the PK and the cross that somehow made it to the keeper I didn't see Argentina threatening much.
I don't think Argentina will put us under that kind of pressure but I won't bet against anybody representing us that's just me.

Go check the stats bro.

Besides also the Icelandic defence line made penetration difficult for Argentina.

Rulling Argentina off because of this game is a No-No.

9 shots on goal and you saying that they were not attacking? when a goalkeeper is made the man of the match in a game that should tell you much. you can say it was because of the penalty he saved but i contend that even without the penalty the gk would still have been the man of the match
